sanb: That's good you don't see a problem with sharing your pasword with your husband...I can’t see any reason why a man would want to stamp on his partners’ dignity. As a fellow woman, dignity should be a thing of pride hence, I agree with you on that...I wasn't referring to pride, I was talking about self worth. |
Sis, good for you. Well, I knew my babies pass but have forgotten currently. She never asked for mine but she gave me to upgrade some things for her. She has pass on her phone but I dont have, I picked up her phone one day and she just gave me her pass with ease and she would have given me immediately if I asked too. I understand your view, but in reality not in our minds o, I feel it doesnt really work but then anything that suites individual sha. Regards.
@Bademosi & @Mike Okiro If you read my first post well, I wrote that I have nothing against such exchange of passwords for good reasons between two persons that love themselves and are doing stuffs online together. What we are talking about here is a man who arose to accost his woman demanding for her password so that he can be monitoring stuff she does and who she talks to. How does that sound to you? I'm sure that doesn't sound good to the ear. This thread as you can see emanated from another thread where a man was saying that his woman threatened to dump him because he was demanding for her password to test her faithfulness https://www.nairaland.com/1094289/separated-facebook-password. It shouldn't be demanded like that, if it has to be shared it should be a mutual thing mature adults are doing for themselves for a purpose not for a man to subjugate a woman with. |
Johndoe100: Yes, all young men should have their wives password to all things like emails, facebook etc. You can get he passwords either openly or with subterfuge. The important thing is to be in a position to monitor her activities. It will be nice if the young men get into the body of their wives and be rummaging through their intestines to monitor things and they can as well strap on some electronics snooping gadget on their wives' v*ginal wall while they are at it. Huh! ![]() |
marikaV: Yes, I totally agree that we have both done wrong. We have talked about this for days now and I have explained all the reasons, all my feelings - everything you can think of. I have no intention of ever doing anything like that again but he doesnt believe me. I feel betrayed. I forgave him over and over again, but when I make one mistake he threatens to leave me. And this password issue...oh dear. I cannot let him read all my conversations with everybody, all my friends' secrets and all. I also think that even in this situation, and even as a married woman, I still have a right for some privacy. I dont need to open my brains up for him.It takes a person with her self worth intact to know that you don't need to open your brains and intestines up for him. He is abusing you emotionally girl, I also agree that you both seek counselling and it is important that whoever is counselling let him realize that he is abusing you emotionally over and over again so that he can stop. Pull yourself together and don't allow his maltreatments make you cheat okay. I want your marriage to work, I really do-----work on it dearie. marikaV: He thinks the only way he can trust me is to read my mails, check my phone and my Facebook. I don't think it is necessary. Even if it is, I still dont know how I could let him do that. I would break the trust that other people have for me by letting him see all our conversations. Already, a few of my friends have blocked me from Fb because of this. The community of Nigerians is small in this country, and they are other wifes of Nigerians involved in this. So, is it fair that we involve all those couples in our problems. You had friends cut you off from facebook because they don't want your husband in on their personal business when he goes rummaging through your account. These are people that realized that it's wrong for him to impose that on you. JallowBah: I see your point there. But when he found this through messages, he probably want to make sure there is nothing more you are hiding. And I understand him. But what do you want in this marriage? YOu want to stay? You think he will remain faithful to you, or do you think he will slip again?Jallow you are doing a good job chatting Marika up and diagnosing her marital problem. If she gives him the password and he snoops for a month and feels okay that she is not hiding secret lovers that is not solving the problem because she is smart enough to keep her dealings off her facebook if she wants to delve into cheating so giving him access to her facebook for him to be keeping tabs on her isn't helping anything. It even sounds sickening for a man to go snooping and sweeping the account to check on things. |
See wetin this ladies they yearn. You would be the first to give it to your bf or husband once he asks. You guys are now forming some crap here. Keep deceiving yourself. Personally, I have a babae or wife, im bored at work and just wanna get excited with the guys asking her out. I called her up and ask for her password and she declined not cos I wanted to test her, THAT IS CRAP MY DEAR. CRAP, DISRESPECT, HYPOCRISY, DECEPTION, "NON-LOVE", DAMN! Thats what it is if you dont know. It shouldnt come up as debate atall. It is a normal thing except otherwise determined by individual principles and experience with such.
You wanna get excited with the guys that ask her out on facebook? Really? You 've got joke cause you also want access to rummage through her facebook account. Why don't you get inside her body too and rummage through her intestines to know everything. My friend there is something called space and decency and when you force out such things from another you are crossing borders. The one point I am trying to make with this post is that there is a limit to the subjugation of women. High time some of us knew that so that we can have less abuse and violence in homes. One love! |
JallowBah: If you have any reason to belive your spouse is cheating ( he/she have done it before, fex ), then yes.@Jallow It doesn't sound right to me for a man or a woman to "demand for their spouse's password" in order to use it to confirm their faithfulness. Isn't that an invasion of privacy and space of another? It is even more than that----think about it. How are you doing girl? |
Rocktation: Trust my Ivy to ask a question and give an answer immediately. No Babes I wasn't answering the question, I asked for people's opinion and stated my opinion for a start. Indeed I actually saw posts by women saying that when her husband demands for such that she will give. I am not against giving in good faith and for good reasons----what is disgusting about it is that the poster in the thread I was referring to (here's the link)https://www.nairaland.com/1094289/separated-facebook-password said that his aim of asking is to determine her faithfulness. I couldn't believe my ears that some men were saying that his woman has to give him the password and that her refusal to give shows her unfaithfulness, some women on the other hand were saying that only a husband has a right to demand for that. Demand what? What right? They mean that if their man walks up to them and says ("Sweetie, you are always on this facebook and I don't like that------give me your password, I need to know the things that you do in that website" ) that they will give him the password----that is humiliation, an affront on their dignity. I don't even have enough words to describe that but I know that nobody will treat me like that sha. |
Siena: No, I don't think he should. It's refreshing to hear from a man who doesn't agree with such high handedness/impositions, I was beginning to wonder whether things have deteriorated to an extent that most people now have the "dominate-her-at-all-cost" mentality and can go to any length to corrode off the dignity of their spouse through all manner of abuse and antics. |
Do they have to leave those kids underneath the sun and with the very bright reflection of the sun on white paper which is not comfortable for the eyes? |
I am opening this thread to see the view of others over the issue of a man wanting to force out his woman or wife's e-mail/websites/forum/phone etc passwords from her just to snoop on her and check whether she is being faithful or just to test whether she will agree to give it or not which to him shows her level of faithfulness. I was in a thread where a man was telling others how he tried to collect his woman's password from her and she refused and threatened to leave him. I couldn't believe my ears seeing posts of men supporting that she either gives him her password or she is being unfaithful for not giving and a woman saying something like "he is only a boyfriend & not even a husband yet, that she will only give her husband her password if he asks etc". In my book no decent man questions a woman for her password just to confirm her faithfullness? No right thinking woman with her dignity intact gives her password to an imposing man that tries to subdue and snoop on her. Exchange of password should be done willfully if the couple/persons are in agreement to say use their mail boxes together or send messages or posts for one another. I mean it has to be a willing thing two mature/loving persons are doing for themselves for some good reasons not for one to use it to keep a tab on the other or to be sure he/she is faithful. It is a beautiful thing for a man and woman to have such understanding that they are very comfortable with each other enough to be logging in and out of each other's favorite websites with the password of the other as they like. When it gets to trying to subdue and dominate over a woman by forcing out her password from her, that is way out of decency-----that is barbaric. Is it not like hanging a snooping device on a woman which monitors her wherever she goes? What kind of man treats a woman like that if not an insecure man? The kind of man that maltreats a woman? I was surprised by some responses in that thread so much that I decided to open this thread to see the views of others as I am wondering whether I am the only one that sees something wrong with a man trying to force out his woman's pasword from her just for snooping sake. |
sanb: That’s not what I’m saying. On the issue of respect, I agree with you that respect should always occur between partners. On the Facebook password issue, remember that there is a difference between a B/F and a husband. I see no reason why a husband and wife should hide anything from themselves. Having said that, it's up to each husband and wife to determine if they would keep secrets and that includes giving out their passwords; that'll obviously be their choice. You probably might not want to give your husband your password but there are other wives that won't have a problem with that. It's all about choices which we make individually and differently....I don't see a problem in sharing password with a husband for meaningful purposes. There are instances a wife or husband may be far from a communicating devices and gives his her spouse the password to pass on message to somebody or something. When a full blooded man wakes up and accosts his full blooded woman to produce her password because he wants to know how faithful she is being, that is imposition and stamping on one's dignity of the highest order and in a situation like that no human being bends my neck underneath his fr*aking armpit like fr*aking that. I' ve got dignity as a person. Thank you! |
nonylove: Am not sure of when she goes to see the boyfriends according to her confession she goes when me and my family are not around. The first time i discovered she had a bf i asked her to bring the boy we met in another place to talk with him, low and behold when we asked the boy his intentions for her he said only God can say for now that he still has a lot of thing to achieve. lol that got me thinking for the moment that she was being fooled but after so much advise am sure she couldn't break up with him.Your posts showed that you have made some effort to treat this maid of yours like your sister----I have seen people that maltreat maids and some treatment you said that you give to her are nowhere near such maltreatments, don't relent you are not doing a bad job with her she happens to be moving with the wrong ones. Young men that will take things money/food from someone's maid are no decent persons neither are they mature enough to marry her if she is looking for a man to settle down with. Enlighten her more on making good choices, tell her the shame/disgrace that an irresponsible man may bring her in Life (with irresponsible actions) if she ends up choosing wrongly and settling with such. If you know what you will do to ensure that your own sister stays away from men that are not good for her do same for her, okay? nonylove: The reason why i always need someone around is cos sometimes am away for a week, or even two as my job demands, i even ve a cuz that stays with me as well but only away on weekends. Like i said i will have to rethink and fashion out how to go about this, maybe it is time for her to go. my plans might not work for her.If you are sometimes away from home for a week or two, then you should think more seriously about your post below and work at closing in any loophole of such happening (like having another mature adult in the house say a relative of yours/your husband)------- nonylove: Welcome brother rvt, but really i know what my husband can do! i dont have any problem with that aspect... dont call me foolish..-----because anything can happen. Don't be too confident of that if you spend weeks away from home. Guess you catch my drift. |
sanb: It's not a sign of bad days and don't forget you're not married to her yet. If married then that's a different story entirely as she is still your g/f don't create issues. Leave her Facebook password alone there's no need for that...and forget the idea that she’s not been faithful cos she refuses to give you the password. You’re not HER HUSBAND YET....------So even if he is her husband now, he should command her to produce her facebook password for no sensible/mature reason just to be snooping on her or check/test how faithful she is? I am surprised to see women thinking like that, has things degenerated to that level? A woman should be submissive but her dignity should not be corroded off in the name of submission. She is still entitled to her personal life, one doesn't lose all her life because she has a partner. The man can as well go look for devices that can be monitoring and returning back unwanted messages and calls to senders all to dominate it over the woman. What happened to respect? |

Friends/Old school mates/Colleagues in the office chatting over a cup of coffee or having lunch is an innocent act unless others decide to read meanings into that. I don't agree that a woman or man will stop having friends because they got married. People can share problems and if there is a rule that you mustn't talk to others or have friends because you are married, how can people get to converse and have others advise them or rub minds with others or even solve problems etc? |
djeezy: Invasion of privacy? That's B.S. Like they say" an innocent mind fears no accusation. By virtue of common understanding, only someone who has so much secrets to hide will decline in giving you his/her password. I agree with you that's it's her privacy and she is not under onus to give him the password but some things are just better done to create trust. Trust is earned and not just giving out like a recharge card. How did you think the guy will feel when he asked for the password and she declined? I once asked for my girlfriend's password, she complied. Then I just knew she was faithful, I didn't bother logging in. If you claim you're not cheating or unfaithful, then why are you hiding your password? Or shoudn't there be some measure of checks and balances in a relationship? FortuneTeller: He is a BOYFRIEND, not her husband. He has not even proposed marriage. She has no obligation to him. If my husband asks for my password, then I will oblige because I do not have anything to hide. But the audacity of a mere boyfriend demanding access to my accounts, I dey laugh. If he does not trust her, that is the real issue. He is insecure and grasping to find a way to gain control. Thank goodness the young lady is standing her ground. This is a sign as to what her future will be like if she chooses to marry him.Hear! Hear! Hear! What am I hearing here? Giving password? Asking her for her password? Confirming that she is faithful? If my husband asks me for password? I will oblige------? WTFr*ak, infact I am going to open a thread to see the views of some of us over this. In my book no decent man questions a woman for her password just to confirm her faithfullness? No right thinking woman with her dignity intact gives her password to an imposing man that tries to subdue and snoop on her. It is like hanging a snooping device on a woman which monitors her wherever she goes, what kind of man treats a woman like that if not an insecure man with head full of problems. The kind of man that maltreats a woman. I am disgusted by such attitude, you mean that women get subjected to that? Unbelievable! |
I stay slim by avoiding eating much flour and fatty stuffs. I like vegetables very much and even when I eat rice frequently I avoid too much of the other carbs. I won't be found with a fatty meat, if I'm buying meat I always tell them at the groceries "I want no fatty part of the meat". I prefer wheat bread, hardly eats the white breads except on rare cases. I think I don't hold down fat because I am an active on-the-go person and fat can't see room in my body to stay down on. Lol. You can start exercising, gyming and avoiding too much carbohydrates. Eat smaller portions of carbs along with plenty vegetable and enough water for your body. I wish you luck there. |
I have been a passive reader of this site for a short while but something happened today that made me write my first post to give me something to look forward to. After several weeks of feeling down, I finally decided to visit the doctor today and he diagnosed me with Major Depressive Disorder .I started on antidepressant medication today and I know the first couple of days won't be easy due to the side effects, but knowing that few weeks from now, I will feel begin better gives me hope. The doctor advised me to tell my parents but I don't think I have the courage to tell them yet considering how they might react. Till then, I'm gonna try to concentrate on my studies again and improve my grades hoping that the side effects do not hinder me much.
Great to hear that you are taking medications for that. Please whatever you do, don't give heed to suicidal thoughts. Stay alive for us, we want you alive, okay Baby. Lots of hugs to you.

Boss13: Please is there any doctor in the house? Just last two weeks I was diagnose for malaria and typhoid and was admitted. I have completed my treatment. However, I still feel dizzy and weak. I resumed work yesterday, only for me to start sleeping in the office. I cannot do anything, I cannot concentrate, I cannot read. I just eat and sleep for long hours. I am tired and I want to resume back to work. Also my vision is a bit blurred and I feel very slight internal pain in my head. Please I need medical advise. You need to run serious tests with the doctor, every symptoms mustn't boil down to malaria and typhoid. I searched online for illnesses associated with dizziness and blurred vision and a version of my search related it to high blood pressure(note that I am not saying that that is what you are suffering from) and I'm sure there may be some other illnesses (associated to that) which doctors know better. I haven't seen anybody suffering from malaria that complained of blurred vision which is why I think that it may be some other illness. I wish you a quick recovery. deegame: how long does pimples last coz i have being suffering from it for like 4yrs now. what can i do?Pimples have no fixed life span. Try using things that control it like Neutrogena Acne prone facial bar. It controls it and keeps it at bay. The ones that already left marks on the faces you can search online or ask around for creams that can remove it. Neutrogena also have products that remove that. Some women normally have pimples on their faces towards their menstrual period. It comes naturally with the surge in hormones while a woman is undergoing her natural cycles so don't take it as an illness you have been suffering for for years unless you have an outrageous amount of pimples and in that case you will have to seek the help of a doctor. |
Nice! Thanks for sharing. |
gurusoft55: I av bn dating ds girl 4 close 2 a yr nw nd she claims 2 really luv me. I decided 2 test her by askin 4 her facebook password; she outrightly refused nd said she will quit d relationship instead of givin me her password and she is serios abt it. What do u tink? Is dis a sign of bad days to come!Yes it is a sign of bad bad days to come. Bad days of your impositions and wicked bossing over. How on earth did you think of asking for somebody's password if you were not trying to snoop on her and play Mr. Detective? She is being wise in wanting to leave your fr*aking imposing a*s over that. What fr*aking password are you talking about? You mad orrrrrrrrrrrr? (Now mad oorrrrrrr as used here is simply a slang, I ain't really calling you mad).Peace out! FortuneTeller: This is an invasion of privacy. What right do you have? Are you her husband? No, you are a boyfriend.Even a husband has no right to demand for his wife's password? Being a husband or boyfriend does not give anybody the right to be domineering over a woman. Women are humans beings please, they are not meant to be subdued with their dignity stamped upon carelessly and thoughtlessly for goodness sake. WTFr*ak! |
They simply look lovely. |
Poor darling. Sorry-o-o (even when we shouldn't say sorry for things we didn't do but you are a Nigerian and you understand that we say sorry to people in pain sha). You got some good advice from baby123 and others but reading your comments you kept on talking about cutting him off etc, do you know that you can actually tame him down if you handle this occurrence wisely? I mean if you cut him off nothing changes about his violent nature, he will keep been violent on others like your mum who is around him. He may be being violent because that is the only way he know and think is right to stamp his feet down as the father and man of his house. Try showing him another shade that will have him thinking twice and mellowing down. I mean there is no way he can't be touched if you sit him down and talk to him endearingly and affectionately on how he hurt you, how he doesn't really need to get violent and how much he is spoiling the sweet relationship that should be between him and others giving such examples that the next thing you would have done next to talking to him this moment is distance/cut yourself from him etc. I am sure that he will be touched, if you don't want to face him---you can write it down on paper, mail or something, just find a way and words that will get to his heart while appealing to his intelligence on the things he is spoiling by being violent. If nobody makes the effort, he will keep being violent and relationship around him will keep being strained. I am sure that will work. |
coogar: wow - i gained a fan! This Coogar is incurable o-o. Your clip is very funny but that man is so so makobe/gay. Who is he trying to seduce? Definitely not me, huh. Hahaha! maclatunji: It's so true. That's why you're pieces of work. I know I will never figure you lot completely out even if I live for a thousand years.I'm good too. Thanks. Have a nice day. |
coogar: if she can be cunning enough to leave the part where she did wrong then it's not out of place to think she might have exaggerated in her story to paint her husband black....in a nutshell, i find it very hard to believe this story!I wasn't saying that you are not, anybody that knows the perfect video clip to dish out at the perfect time is super rational. I will come and check out the gif you will post for me later . Cheerio. |
coogar: but is it not surprising that this woman did not even admit any wrongdoing in her statement? how am i supposed to take such a one-sided story serious and pass judgements based on it? i agree no woman should be treated like crap but it's also imperative to tell the story in a way people can relate with it........this poster is not serious when she's ready to tell the cause of the abuse then she would get the solution she craves! The cause of the abuse? Nothing she tells us here that she does which may have contributed to the abuse justifies her husband beating and spitting on her. We know that there are the other sides of the story most times but there's nothing she will write here that will make the abuse she is getting accepted. Now I don't want u to get in the mood you went in the other abuse thread, I d' rather have those your funny gif video clips that cracks me up, post a nice one for me pls. Have a nice day dear. |
I agree that a woman getting abused should do some soul searching to know what went wrong yet nothing justifies abuse. The people saying that financial frustrations must be what is stressing the man are making a good point but if all men go home to beat down their wives because things are not working out good in their businesses the world will become a crazy place. Nobody should abuse their spouse and nobody should tolerate being abused. |
maclatunji: Women are real pieces of work!Mr. Mac you seem to be feeling real cool this morning ,Women ain't pieces of work, we women make the world go round. Better believe it. There simply ain't any world without us. Now roger that. ![]() How are you Mac? |
Siena: ^^^ Duro, chill. It's all over, let's put the past to rest. And the same goes to you, Blue. You two ladys need to shake hands, and start from scratchIvynwa smiles at Siena's post BlueDiva: Well, it wasn't worth it.Yeah Babes they need that, it's sweet of you to have realized that which was why you deleted that. Nice! durobraham: Hmm, whats else can i say? Clearly not everyone knows that arrogance is a vice.Miss Duro E joo. E-e-e-em How is your son by the way? Anything to steer you off this ![]() |
BlueDiva: kid@Lady Bluediva Good to see that you wiped off the other posts directed at Durobraham. @Durobraham it's okay dear I added you guys to my contacts to speak to you offline but Bluediva seems to have done the right thing, I didn't realize that that was going on when I posted until I was about to leave the thread later. It's okay o Miss Duro. Chill dearie as Blue has chilled too (I don't even know why I am always protective of you when people run you down because of your single mother state yet I am not supporting you saying unpleasant stuffs to Blue too). I didn't like the daggers being thrown around especially the single mother mockery part of it. There are just things we women should not use against one another because if a pregnant school girl comes to the forum seeking help we will all be touched and want to advise her----what's the point washing down another single lady who is holding her shoulder after her ordeal. The same us that will have good advise for our fellow women "don't abort", "be careful while making your choice of spouses", "don't let yourself be abused",the same us shouldn't mock our fellow women with some of us these problems unless we are not really giving these advices and solutions here with our hearts. Women let us be one another's keepers please. One love! |
Wislet: lmao.Happy. Yeah babes, the blasting music, liveliness and bubbly mood therein makes me happy. I love to see others sing, dance and be happy. It will keep the people happy no doubt, help people relieve stress, socialize, network. Strengthen the bond of lovers and married couples (I mean a family that prays, wines, dines, parties and clubs together stay together) ![]() I mean I may still be clubbing in my 70's and 80's, I don't give a damn about the people that look down on that. When I can I may even own and run a club too. Thank you. Wislet: Another question:How did "child" enter the question, I only answered the part about "what clubbing benefits adults" as a child may not be mature enough or economically independent enough to go clubbing. |
