The tweet by Don Jazzy is the most sensible tweet I have ever come across.
Smartly giving kudos with modesty yet with shoulder held high. It is the sanest and wisest thing anybody can say to a rival in that business as in "The stuff he learnt wasn't wasted, he utilized it on DB and came out a better person". It sounded like he was doffing hat but he was actually saying "You made me a better person dude". Now that's a checkmate because the rival will be smiling and feeling cool without knowing that the game is on him. grin
FoodRe: African Soup In A Bag by Ivynwa(f): 8:56pm On Sep 17, 2012
Ogugua what is wrong with soups in pouchs? Don't they sell ketchup, barbeque sauce, mayonnaise in pouchs and even chicken soups in cans?
I have always had that idea of canning soups, I know a company that cans stuff for people and had in mind to look at the workability of that in the future. No be ordinary "mmiri akwu"(palm nut sauce) that the ghanaians are canning and making money abroad? It's good business you are seeing so, those pouches of soups will sell very fast abroad----I am telling you.

FamilyRe: Marrying Without One's Parent Consent - Is It Ideal ? by Ivynwa(f): 4:20am On Sep 17, 2012
It is a beautiful thing to have the consent of the parents but what happens if it is the kind of parents trying to manipulate the kids into a person of their choice? A controlling parent that simply hates the fiance/fiancee of their kid unreasonably? A parent trying to boss his/her kid into a marriage that will benefit him/her (the parent) financially/socially and otherwise?

In this case poster mentioned that their reason for wanting to marry in secret & without parental consent is because of some divination by whoever prophet/pastor. The attachment/awe some of our fellow Nigerians have for these persons that "go to the gods to see the future for them/bring them water from the moon" is disgusting. Just when will they understand that most of these diviners/prophets/prophetess/pastors are all in it for the money? I bet if the prophet asked that he marry the crazy woman out there in the street lest his business collapses in 7 days time that he will run to do the biddings of his almighty prophet. WTFr*ak!

We presently have two areas through which ignorance is affecting the unenlightened ones among us and they are these:
1.The belief that human body parts can be used by some dirty medicine men to make one rich
2.The blind trust and belief in diviners most of whom are fake

I am wishing that some public enlightenment programmes on these two points be started by the ministry in charge to unshackle people being led astray by these 2 wrong notions. Seriously! It's high time we all left those notions behind and evolve to higher levels.

Music/RadioCan Somebody Help Me Solve Dis?which Nigerian Artist/song Does This Remind U Of? by Ivynwa(op): 12:03pm On Sep 16, 2012
Please can somebody help me connect this song to a Nigerian song I use to hear as a kid in the eighties/nineties. It has the same beat as this J. Cole's song. The Nigerian song goes like JoJo Jojo--------- Jojo. If you know the song I am talking about just tell me who sang it and send me the lyrics if u have it. I am trying to search for the song but couldn't find it.
Listening to this song makes me wonder whether they copied that Nigerian song, they sound very similar and yes I do have a good reason for wanting to get at the Nigerian song I am looking for. Thanks.

The title of your thread is wrong. If you read in between the lines you will see that the message was not "Please forgive us".
They simply exonerated themselves while tactfully & respectfully trying to douse the anger the film a-roused. Smart Move!

RomanceRe: She Has Refused To Let Go Even When I've Told Her We Can't Get Married by Ivynwa(f): 2:52pm On Sep 15, 2012
kckingsin: When you tell a girl you can't marry her and she refuses to go or find her way, what do you do to her because in this case, i really don't want to make her feel like i have broken her heart by forcing my way out of the relationship and secondly, she's an orphan. Do do i do people deep down me, i really don't want to hurt her but i keep telling her we can't be together and have decided to call the whole thing off by DECEMBER so as to make way for the right person to step in. But she has refused to let go. TELL ME GUYS, WHAT DO I DO WITHOUT FORCING MYSELF OUT OF THE RELATIONSHIP.
She can't go away because you have not called the whole thing off so you are the one holding her down until you call it off in December as you have scheduled. grin
It seems that you have even found the Adamma/right person that will step in in December according to your timetable and your only concern now is for her to make way for the new person.
Please whatever you do, let that girl down easy. She is an orphan and has known plenty sorrow already so don't dump her in a way that will break her heart and have her sorrowing too much. You can break the relationship (break off all intimacy) and keep her at arms length while still remaining friends with her. "Friends" in that you can be calling her sometimes to ensure that everything is alright with her.
Why do I have a feeling that this young woman you are about leaving will end up with a very good man that can treat her better than you have been doing? undecided lipsrsealed tongue grin Now don't be mad at me.

obowunmi: Find a new girlfriend quickly. Introduce her to the new chick. If she persists, change your number, Ignore her.
Methinks that is an unkind way to break up with a woman, there are better ways to do that without hurting the person much. Don't you think there are?

grin grin
I am beginning to appreciate this person's sense of humour, second time I am coming across his funny retorts.

beqs101: Do you really need to ask for advice?
Asking for advice means that he is considering getting on with such a betrayer and when he gets married to her and she absconds with the guy from the US he will come and open another thread of how his heart got broken. Some Babes can do anything to nail down an "obodo Oyibo" guy even when we all know the other side of the coin of some of such persons.
I once went partying with a friend at Festac, my friend invited a friend of his that returned from South Africa and the guy showed up with this fakey fakey "Aji butter babe" that was all over the South African returnee like he is the newest Obama. Later they all stepped out to get something and on returning my friend gisted me how the Ajibo Babe was having s-ex at the back of the car with the SA returnee------IN THE PRESENCE OF TWO OTHER MEN!! shocked shocked in the front of the car. The girl was doing anything possible to make sure that she nails down that Obodo Oyibo man mehn-n-n-n-n and that was disgusting.

Thanks to God for saving the life of her son.
FoodRe: How To Make Unripe Plantain Porridge by Ivynwa(f):
toria12: How to Make Unripe Plantain Porridge

Ingredients

Unripe Plantain: 3 pieces
Pumpkin Leaves: a big bunch (or Frozen Spinach: 10 cubes)
Fish (Titus): 1 medium size
Ground Crayfish: 1-2 teaspoons
Onions: 2 medium sized bulbs
Red palm Oil: enough to colour the meal
Pepper and Salt: to taste
Seasoning: 2 big stock cubes
Poster in addition to all your ingredients I add diced fresh tomato, ahigbo (nchuanwu) leaf and ground dawadawa and spiced meat(not fresh fish).
The plantain has to be nicely diced too. The spice of the ahigbo and dawadawa makes it rich in taste, the tomato enriches it nutrition-wise too.
I like it, it's very rich in iron and normally prescribed for pregnant women.

FamilyBoy Abducted/Kidnapped 8 Years Ago By Babysitter Meets His Birth Parents. by Ivynwa(op):
Posting to say for families to be careful with the persons they trust their children with.
The boy was abducted/kidnapped when he was 8 months old and grew up taking the babysitter as his own mother. He is 8 years old now, recently met his parents after the maid was captured as narrated below

http://shine.yahoo.com/parenting/miguel-morin-kidnap-victim-finally-meets-real-parents-181200131.html
Miguel Morin: Kidnap Victim Finally Meets Real Parents

Eight-year-old Miguel Morin was abducted by his babysitter Krystle Tanner when he was only eight months old. When Morin was rescued back in March, he was placed in foster care instead of being reunited with his family. On Wednesday, William Thursland, his court appointed lawyer, announced that Morin has finally met his parents in joint therapy sessions. "It's just barely begun so he's cautious," Thursland said in a press conference. "It's going well but it's just going to take time." State District Judge Mike Schneider also ruled that the boy would remain in foster care until at least January 9, when the next hearing is scheduled.

Related: Chicago Man Saves Daughter from Abduction Attempt

It may be hard to fathom why the boy wasn't reunited with his parents immediately. In some cases, it may be beneficial to first place a child in a neutral environment while the details of their condition and their relationship to their abductor are revealed, says Geoffrey Greif, PhD, of the University of Maryland School of Social Work, whose article "Ambiguous Reunification: A Way for Social Workers to Conceptualize the Return of Children After Abduction and Other Separations" will be appearing in an upcoming issue of the journal Families in Society. Morin grew up believing Tanner was his real mother. "Imagine that the person that is supposedly your mother is not…" Greif tells Shine. "The therapist's decision could be based in part on his attachment to the woman who pretended to be his mother for years." Miguel has recently been informed that the Morins, who live in Houston, are his biological parents, reports the Associated Press.

If Morin is eventually allowed to go home, he will be entering a complicated family situation. His parents have four other children who all live with another couple, Juanita and Joseph Aguillard by mutual agreement. At the time of the kidnapping, there were some accusations from neighbors and family members that Morin’s mother “gave him away” – a claim she strongly denies. It’s unclear whether he would live with his parents or the Aguillard family. Reportedly, he will be meeting his siblings soon and Joseph Aguillard says, “They can’t wait to see him.”

Authorities have charged Tanner, 26, and her mother, Gloria Walker, with kidnapping and child injury. Both have pleaded not guilty. They are currently being held in jail in St. Augustine, about 150 miles from Houston. After initial efforts to locate the boy, police closed the case in 2006. In March, Morin suffered a leg injury and Tanner brought him to the hospital. Suspicions were aroused when she wouldn't provide his name or Social Security number. DNA tests subsequently confirmed his identity.

The pair reportedly did not send Morin to school. He was functioning at a below-kindergarten level when he was first saved. Morin believed his name was JaQuan and he was six-years-old. Now, Estella Olguin, a spokesperson for Houston Child Protective Services says, "He is doing really remarkably. He's really a great little man." The boy has learned to read and write over the past five months and is now attending second grade.

RomanceRe: In Luv With My Husband's Sister by Ivynwa(f):
dimepiece: Thank you all for all the negative criticism and insults. I don't blame you all, I only blame myself for seeking advice on a forum full of close-minded people. This is the new age, the 21st century and you all need to realize that everything is not black and white. For all that are calling me the devil or whatever, just know that God says "Do Not Judge" or did you never hear that before? No one's sins are greater or less than the other. We are all sinners in different ways, just because I opened up my sin for advice did not warrant such cruel things from people. It baffles me when people wonder why most people don't ask for help when they have a problem...this is the reason why, because of close minded people that only seek to judge and insult. Remember Matthew 7:5. Please forget this thread, I will seek help elsewhere.
Come back in the next century and gist us the love story between you and your children perhaps or even between you and the trees in the forest, BTW we all know that you are phoney dearie. Too many fakey fakey threads, it's getting hazy in here. They sure need a control measure to curb these persons merely trying to rile people up with their fake stories.

Towards the end of the story I was surprised to hear that the lady in question is still living in the same house with a woman who was moving the ground and breathing down on her life like that.

She should be long gone out of that home. The overbearing mothers & fathers in our parent's generations are fast realizing that they can't manipulate the lives of their children anymore. It's good to read these stories of people standing up for themselves and what they want for their lives.
