Kobojunkie: oh come off it . . . if she was not TROUBLED by it all, would she come to this place to post of it? Do you really think that her Father-in-law can only mess with her life if he lives under the same roof with her? Is that what you are saying?Chill a bit. Don't let off too much steam over nothing. Yeah, yeah. Byeeee I am determined to have a blast this saturday and no NL post gonna stop me. Enjoy the rest of your evening too lady moi. ![]() |
Is she normal
190 don't let me catch you there. Onyi ara, fat boy ![]()

Kobojunkie: ------------- What you will say is that many girls do not know how to take control of their own lives and that has nothing to do with Nigerian girls. There are millions of gals out there who are single(possibly older than the @Op) and they are not in the mess that she is in now as a result.Mess that she is in now? ![]() Let us not magnify and blow issue out of proportion because the poster never said that the FIL is running her home or that she is in a mess. It is still about her finding the FIL pompous and tactless. Yeah I agree with you to some extent, our girls should be able to stand on what they want for their lives even when pressured from all angles. I wasn't making an excuse for them in my post. |
ITbomb: Oh how I hate SexkillzThe bolded is mad funny. I didn't know that Nairaland is paved with roads too and soon enough we may be buying the lands nairaland is made of. ![]() Whoops! what great passion this moderator is inspiring in people. What is it about him that have pips going gaga crazy . Mr. Killz abeg let up on the fellas and the Babes.![]() |
Kobojunkie: Avoid him? Tell your husband you would rather not visit or see him? I mean it becomes hard to suggest solutions once you are already in the marriage. Your husband obviously allows it and so his father takes advantage, and you probably played "good girl" before the marriage, maybe making him feel he can do anything he wants even after. I honestly don't know what to advice than to tell you to grow a thick skin. Maybe get a job, start bringing in money and maybe your husband will respect your complaints a bit more. I don't know but I generally believe that it is right before the marriage that we work on putting our foot down when it comes to those in the family you are trying to become a part of. If you try to do it after marriage, you are likely inviting trouble. The bolded is very right and I agree with that but what do you want a Nigerian girl(that gets all kind of pressure to marry) to do? A girl has got to do what a girl has got to do and act up nice and lovely to put a ring on it . Stubborn ones like us that are trying to get it right and nice know how the other side of the coin is. Yet it's better done right and nice. That kind of FIL can swear against having a lady become his son's wife and can do anything to make sure that his son dumps any lady that dares to put him in his posiion. Yeah, sometimes it is good to spell it out to the other party that you are not going to tolerate being disrespected but she is better off without such a stand off at least the man hasn't strayed into her home yet to dictate the runnings. He can be throwing his fat weight out there in the gardens while she enjoys peace in her home ![]() |
@Ifeluvely You sound like you are a strong minded person just like your FIL is a strong minded person too and two strong minded persons like that can't help but clash on a day he gets on your nerves big time. He seems haughty and abusive from what you've described about him and you need some control when you are around him so that you don't vent your anger on him one day when he irritates you to breaking point. Avoiding him may help or not spending much time around him just to avoid that temptation. I am also that kind of person that can't tolerate and keep quiet on such a person even when others around are kissing his bloated fat a*s , if such gets on my nerves am a say my mind out and dare the consequence. I am not suggesting that you do so, I just can't stand such foul mouthed human beings that think that they have the world in their palms and as a result that everybody will be getting twisted around their fingers. What fr*aking attitude makes him tell you "How much are you earning that you are feeling like somebody?"You also have to be very very careful when he comes imposing himself on you and your husband because if you don't handle his weight good, his overbearing attitude can break your marriage. You don't need to be told that his son's loyalty to his overbearing self will win you hands down anyday so don't get tied up in a riff triangle with the two lest you begin to consider the door as a way out. Just my thought, just my thought. |
Please let's advise this unhappy young lady that is pregnant and being talked into aborting it by her boyfriend. Many couples are childless and may be open to adopting this child. Let's encourage her in her thread. https://www.nairaland.com/1034248/should-keep-baby-run-abort/2#12096991 |
Your opinion is your own Mr. Pro. No we ain't getting personal, we are just talking Babyboy. ![]() |
Rocktation: I'm good, SweeryI alright Babygirl. He does know to be funny, the expression on his face is enough to make one laugh and he is a young man seriously making a name for himself. You need to see the commotion he stirred up when he walked into that award show with his dwarf security guards. He was so funny, as he was walking in with his escorts somebody made to near him and was bandied out by some security agents (I'm sure it was acted up ) after which he put on some "star man" swagger and asked his dwarf guards "Are we good? Are we good?". I laughed, he knows how to make one laugh sha. |
pro01: She is probably not a dustbin. . .just that she is in fact reminiscent of a dustbin. In essence, the dustbin metaphor for Rihanna isn't entirely misplaced.@Pro1 I guess you won't mind if somebody else calls your wife or fiancee a "dustbin trash" just because she has been with another man. Rocktation: Of cos, Kevin Hart means everything he implies. He's the USA's Basket mouth actually. You should've heard/seen him shred P-diddy and co's pride, at the last BET awards. Kwexy dude!He He ![]() Who do we have here? Look who is here! How are you doing girl? Yeah, Kevin Hart oversteps it sometimes and may be hurting feelings in the process just like other comedians. About one or two media houses that ran a story on that mentioned that some of his jokes were expensive ones that shouldn't be joked with. Comedians all make us happy but they should be careful about stepping on the feet of some in order to make others happy. |
afrikwin: Hey everyone, by now ur saying am stupid! Well, I believe there's nothin hidden under the sun. I love my man, and we have dated for 7 months. I have never cheated until my friend hooked me up with someone. I cheated on him and due to guilt I confessed. My friends told me not to say but I couldn't look him in the face and lie about this. Now we just spoke and he wants out. I regret telling him. Help. How do I convince him that it won't happen again?Girl, I already knew before clicking on your thread that he can't handle it. Why didn't you say "It wasn't me" like Shaggy? Some men can't stomach the thought of another man being with their woman. The moment the news is out, he will find you disgusting. Oya, hanlele stand in the queue of ladies waiting on Mr. Right and better be patient in that queue -o-o because na so so Mr. Wrong, Mr. Wrong full market these days. ![]() Laughter wan kill me at this my joke sef but I no dey laugh at you-o-o my sister. You fit begin reconsider the fella wey tempt you go outside sef abi you no like am wellu wellu Jeez! telling myself Hush girl! |
he's black? ![]() is that his photo? thought he was white from the name/thread title.
Yes Tpiah he is black. I was right after all. Rihanna just won an award and while coming towards the stage to receive it, Kevin was jokingly going gaga and wild over her winning and she wasn't finding it that funny nor playing along. His joke was an expensive one told at Rihanna's expense. |
kandiikane: Erm, well, the navel piercing's pain wasn't THAT bad. It was the septum that killed. Oh, it hurt! Depends on how you deal with pain.Oh my Gosh, I was telling you in one of my posts above for you to be careful with micro derm (as metal stays underneath the skin when it heals) without knowing that you already had it---that nape one gave you some hassles. Yeah, it does hurt when the hair gets caught up in it when it hasn't healed completely. You are very right about the cartilage taking long to heal, I got tired of waiting for my inner helix(which is on a more cartilaginous position) to heal and simply took out the ring and allowed it close up leaving only one of my helix but these designs I saw online has inspired me into redesigning my helix. I may make it outer helix this time around. Oh my Gosh, I just like that exquisite look a well designed piercings give. I only admire the top of nose piercings when it is adorned with a barely-there tiny ring but I am not getting that. Everybody keeps saying that the nose one hurts. The septum is a no-no for me. The navel? Nah it fr*aks me out to think of having somebody put a hole in there so am a do without it. Don't go getting too much girl I beg you, sometimes minimal is more beautiful and please check and be sure that your body is not allergic to the type of metal the rings that your piercer is using for you is made of. These things are delicate just like tattoo too in which when an unsanitized water is used to mix the ink can cause skin diseases. A lady in my work place got this sweet tattoo of her mother's name on her arm some weeks ago, few days after that I saw her with rashes and just when it was occuring to me that it may be connected to her tattoo----I decided to hint it to her for her to connect the two and seek medical help and I wasn't seeing her at work for close to a week. She came to work today, told me she has been sick and absent from work and when I asked her whether she had the rash after the tattoo she denied it but I am very sure she hadn't that rash before that tattoo cause I was always admiring and tripping over her tattoo then. She doesn't want to be told that her tattoo brought along the rash and I ain't forcing my opinion on her. Complications can arise from these things, in the past after seeing a lady with a huge tumour in her ear from a bad piercing I never believed that I will ever pierce after that cause that turned me off piercing completely then. Hey I understand that feeling to look exquisite but we don't want you getting scars in the process okay Babes, be careful when you go for the next one and do allow that navel to heal completely before redoing it. That part of the body is delicate you know. I will like to see a picture of you and your piercings when you are done with them, I will show you mine when I am done designing them. Lol. |
And what the fr*ak was Nicki Minaj's boyfriend thinking walking up the stage with jeans dropping off his bu-tt? I will forgive him sha, that fella has been very supportive of his Minaj Girlfriend. Being happy for her in her success and not allowing it faze him------ |
I am watching the 2012 MTV Award now when Kevin Hart the comic who is the host walked into the crowd with some dwarfs as his security guards. He went on to the stage to joke that he asked MTV for a little security and they gave him some little people security. Lol Lol Lol . He went on joking that the issue between Drake and Chris Brown started in the club when Drake(who is a Canadian and who likes to recycle) threw a bottle into the dustbin and it mistakenly hit Chris Brown. Drake said "My bad, the bin" and CBrown was like "Did you call me a b-i-tch?" and that was how the fight started blah blah blah blah. He was cracking expensive jokes of course but that sounded like "Drake meant to recycle what Chris Brown has made use of blah blah-----and that wasn't nice on Rihanna. I am sure that the Rihanna girl won't find that funny------You gotta watch Kevin Hart yourself right now, he is up in your face making ribs crack with his jokes. A jolly good fellow, Nah---I don't think Rihanna thinks so right now. ![]() http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1693352/2012-vmas-host-kevin-hart.jhtml VMAs Host Kevin Hart Makes 'Mistakes' In Opening Monologue Hart calls out mistakes made by Drake, Chris Brown, Snooki and more at the outset of the 2012 VMAs Everybody makes mistakes. Kanye West, Britney Spears, Madonna — even 2012 MTV Video Music Awards host Kevin Hart. That's the message Hart wanted to make clear during his opening monologue at the VMAs this year. Before speaking to the assembled crowd at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Hart sauntered up to the stage with so much fanfare that one would think he was actually meant to attend the Democratic National Convention. The confusion wasn't helped by Hart's entourage of secret service agents comprised purely of little people. "I don't know if MTV made a mistake. I told MTV that I was going to need a little security. I think they took it a little literally," he cracked once reaching the stage. "But that's okay. Those guys did a good job!" As it turned out, Hart had mistakes on the mind. From the comedian's perspective, many of the artists and celebrities attending the 2012 VMAs were guilty of mistakes of their own — chief among them Drake and Chris Brown, who were on dueling sides of a bar brawl in June. Hart, a self-declared friend of both men, attempted to use the VMAs as a platform to take the blown-out-of-proportion beef and "nip it in the bud." From his perspective, Drake wasn't trying to throw a bottle at Brown; instead, he was living up to his Canadian roots and trying to recycle the bottle, Hart quipped. "Drake is from Canada. Drake loves to recycle. Drake thought that there was a recycle bin in Chris' section. He threw the bottle. Chris didn't see it, because he was dancing," joked Hart. "When he whipped his head up, he got hit with the bottle. Drake was like, 'My bad, the bin!' Chris was like, 'You called me a b----?' And Drake was like, 'No! The bin!' That fight was over a mistake!" Hart moved on and set his sights on Frank Ocean, targeting the Odd Future artist's recent decision to speak out about his previous relationship with a man. According to Hart's account of the situation, Ocean accidentally outted himself by singing "I've been thinking about you, Leroy" instead of "Lisa" during a recording session, leading him to the decision to publicly address his fans about his romantic past. "Not everybody can do that, but Frank Ocean did. And for that, I commend you, Frank," said Hart to uproarious applause. "I salute you, sir." Next on Hart's list was "Jersey Shore" star Snooki and her newborn baby Lorenzo. To the surprise of all, it wasn't Snooki that Hart pinned mistakes on, but her fiancé, Jionni LaValle. "The baby daddy thought he was going to get a little nookie from Snooki," he said. "Now he's sitting at home thinking, 'What the f---?'" "Most importantly, congratulations, you're a new mother," Hart said to Snooki, who was absent from the VMAs. "That's from me to you." The real elephant in the room wasn't Snooki, but "Twilight" actress Kristen Stewart, according to the host. Hart addressed Stewart's alleged affair with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, saying, "If she did [have an affair], so what? It's over. Move on!" "The point I'm making is this: if you've made a mistake, so what?" Hart asked the audience, before launching into a series of swears that were instantly bleeped upon leaving his mouth. "I'm going to make mistakes [tonight]. You know why? Because people here have made mistakes before." With a few extra jabs tossed out at Kanye, Britney Spears, Madonna and more just for good measure, Hart and his care-free attitude jumped straight off the stage and into the crowd, held up by the very people who would surely witness a few more mistakes before the night's end.

@Kandi You are one swanky girl! What with the lower lip, industrial, septum and nape piercings? I love some, the exquisitely done ear piercings appeal to me more than other parts of the body. How did the navel piercing feel when you got it? Was it painful, did it take time to heal? It was good you had a professional do your helix? I have seen a person that developed a malignant tumour from a piercing gone bad. One should be careful with it to avoid nerve damage and cross contamination. I will make my helix triple and get double tragus----can't say when but soon. I have to flex up and muster the courage to bear the pains of nursing and cleaning them and feeling some little pains on them when you lay your head to sleep. Tell me more about the micro derms, i read about them online. Will like to hear what your experience was. |
Thank you jawe my sisi.. but wait, at bolded..are you kidding me? That planet must be severely deteriorated
Nopes Babe, it's a beautiful society. It's just their own English.Every society has its slang just like we have our own broken English, you know. |
bettymafy: Nice piercings. Wish I had the courage. Got only one on my lobe. . . U know, the infant oneYes girl, courage needs to be summoned when going for it. For example I like the navel piercing but I know that I may never go for it. It fr*aks me out thinking of meddling with that area of the body. My navel area is super sensitive/erogenous too so I may never go there after all. The ones some do at the jaws and upper lips disgust me a bit, I can't think of putting my hand into my mouth to clip on rings. I admire the nose one especially when adorned with "a very tiny barely-there ring" but I don't really need it. |

You know the way Americans say "Yeah me-e-en", their own is "Yeah boy" ![]() Did you say spanking? Don't get caught up with that? Have a great day Mister. |

Now you guys have realized that nobody messes with an Edo Babe like Stella Babe. Who annoyed Stella Babe this much. Nne cool down Ojare. E don do okay Babes. Edo Babes are correct Babes and nobody should talk them down biko. |
I also like these combination of helix and tragus and exquisitely set piercings----that is how i like it: exquisite, classy, sophisticated and lovely not shabby, rough/aggressive or trashy looking. The industrial looks rough/unfeminine and aggressive to me like more of a thing for rock stars and fans.

I was checking out the best looking Helix and Tragus Piercings and came across the lovely ones below. I am considering the double tragus on on the right ear instead of single and making my left Helix piercings triple. There is something very exquisite about tiny ear rings lined up together. I like the effect the ones in the pictures have. Where's Kandi girl? Girl come let's have fun talking about them piercings. ![]()

@poster The argument above is funny. I am not sure that men like being owned. The word "own" may have some men running with feet touching the head .The wife definitely knows that her husband is hers but drumming it every minute into him that you own him doesn't sound nice. A man owns himself even when he belongs to his wife, was birthed by his mother to whom he still owes loyalty. Just let the man feel like a man who owns himself. The word "I own you" sounds a bit frightening for men to handle. Seriously. |
