maclatunji: ^ Here's the thing, the people who don't believe you do so because from their experience or lack of it. They can't relate with your story. I find you thoroughly believable, I just want you to realise that you have made big mistakes and need to work hard to put your life back on track. I wish you the best moving forward from here, you need to learn fast.
This post of yours is very sweet Mac, but it also sounded like you don't want to stop getting the updates. Oh my gosh, Mac will be very unhappy with me now. I am only pulling your leg boy.grin grin.

@Ndidi
You should be helping that your fiance scout for work, I am seeing job adverts NNPC etc popping up here in the forum. You can be forwarding such to him and helping him apply even while he is learning the other stuff you mentioned. I just saw Diamond bank job announcement on the front page, that is if he is looking towards that field and can handle bank work.

Ndidi obi anafu eme gi Paulina Paulina dey trip over weddings dey go grin grin. Oh my gosh, she just can't wait.

Girl 4 days? The story sounds like the man has a drinking problem or something or plain jealousy----so short a marriage. I recently read about a couple that were arguing in the morning of their wedding, bride ended up stabbing groom dead even when she didn't mean to kill him. Sad, sad!
Whatever you do, be praying seriously over that your wedding day-o-o Ojare. Take care.

Jeez! When I saw them rioting in CNN while I was at work I mused in my mind "that whenever this kind of uproar stirs up that the passion can be on another level" only to read this now and realize that heads rolled after all. High time we all started seriously respecting one another's religion.

k2039: I see you are confused, because am just as well confused with your post.
Next time you post write like an undergraduate.
grin grin

His second post seems more confusing but when you read it good you will understand that the first two paragraphs are messages from his girlfriend/schoolmate.

Saemmanuel yes I agree that both of you should discuss well and if you both agree to be friends, good but what you went to school to do is to get your certificate so your studies should be your priority now. I won't advise you to start getting carried away with such things as having very intimate relationship with a girlfriend now as there is time for everything. You can keep things platonic even while both of you are good friends.

Poster you and your wife should discuss with a doctor on the best birth control measure to use.
FamilyRe: Should I Go Thru Wit My Weddin by Ivynwa(f): 9:44pm On Sep 11, 2012
This reminded me of a traditional wedding I have been to and while the groom's family and the bride's family were dragging money/drink issue the groom's family got angry and made steps to leave the compound. The very pregnant bride herself was peeping from inside the house fearfully and saying that she will run away with the grrom's family -o-o if they leave the place. grin grin.

What is your bride doing to douse matters between you and her family, shouldn't she be bridging the gap and explaining to her family to take both of you as you are after spending what you have? They didn't remember that their house needs to be painted until a suitor showed up, she shouldn't let them embarrass her so.

FamilyRe: Life For A Woman After A Divorce.... by Ivynwa(f):
Madam I will not exchange words with you, I have said what I have to say to you. You can get on and talk all that you want and even bring on people to have fun over this with. One thing I have made clear to you is that I am not one to be cut or brought down with words so the words you are throwing at me are all in vain.

In all that I have said to you, I did not call you any bad name nor compare you to mad persons like you are comparing me. If you are prim and nice as you are making yourself out, you will not be saying half of these things that you are saying to me now. Whatever words you used on me here, I send it back to you dear.

You are not impressing on anybody, why put on some damage-control fronting now? The truth hurts and there you are smarting from it,next time the mockers mock and bring people down in front of you and everybody in the forum I am sure that you will remember this conversation while you look on and get amused by them. Please go your way Ojare.
FamilyRe: Life For A Woman After A Divorce.... by Ivynwa(f):
Sister Pslm23,
Be strong and take courage, everything is gonna be alright. Joy comes in the morning.

chaircover: There is something clearly wrong with you. You have serious deep issues. seriously! Look at you ranting like a mad woman because I simply told you that it wasnt nice calling another persons husband a devil? I dont even know where to start with you so I wont even bother. Without a doubt you You are not worth my time. When you stop ranting like a fishwife, bring your issues to the table and we discuss it; by now you should know that I dont talk to people who throw childish tantrums.
I reject your words and send it back to you. I am not one to be brought down with words. You are patting another person at the back to take away her sorrow and at the same time using bad words on another person, you yourself has become guilty of what you set out to accuse me of.
I am beautifully and wonderfully made by God (Alleluiah!) and will not accept any words that says otherwise whoever it is that said it. Thanks

Who cares whether she is right or wrong? If she wants to be right about admonishing she should admonish when people gets mocked about in the forum, she can't tell me that they are trying to counsel somebody and that I shouldn't say what I said. The forum is for everybody not for a certain some. You can type in all that you want to say too. Thanks.
FamilyRe: Life For A Woman After A Divorce.... by Ivynwa(f): 2:18pm On Sep 11, 2012
chaircover: Ivy, Husband wife matter is very delicate and complicated and even though you are condemning the people saying nasty things to Psalm, you are guilty too. This woman asked for help on how to get over this and move forward, she didn't ask for anyone to condemn her husband. He is still her husband until the day that they divorce. Worst things have happened in peoples marriages and they have managed to get through it so you can never say never until its final.

You have just called someone a devil based on a few lines that psalm wrote. Even psalm didn't call her husband a devil and I dont even think that 80% of us understood what exactly went on from psalms explanation, but we all know that she is hurting and that we are trying to counsel her, which you can do without bringing the husband down because indirectly you are bringing her down too; you are indirectly calling her a fool for being with a devil & trying to have a devils kids . . . . .you see what I mean?

Please try not to let us run away with out emotions. She is very vulnerable right now and one has to be careful what one says.
Ewoo, Nne her husband is an angel. Yes o-o he is even the most favorite angel before Angel Michael came to be. I hope you are happy now that I am keeping the unwritten rules of some persons in nairaland. You have to sit nice and prim and read it to me that I called a man (that is taking birth control measure yet watching his wife going through rigorous IVF treatment) a devil. What have you said to the persons reminding her that she married a divorcee and others telling her that she is being punished for the part she played in another marriage?

If you want to counsel her your own way/method, why don't you close the thread and go counsel her alone that way you won't need to see the comment of other posters instead of writing your own script to put in my mouth to comment. If you want to read only what you want to hear here then start with admonishing the main culprits that throw acid and atomic bomb of words on people when they come sharing their sorrows here or do you enjoy it when certain persons mock people sharing their problems here? We are all reading and feeling sorry for this lady, I hope things work out good for her as it won't be up to six months when the mockers in the section will start rubbing it in her face and laughing at her how she is below them for having no husband and a broken marriage. You know what am talking about woman, a pregnant woman has been made jest of because of her financial state, distressed women in unhappy marriages insulted and called names, just two days ago a man that has shared his divorce story was mocked right in your face madam and you never said a word because the persons that mock people here are untouchables/too big in your eyes to be admonished.

You can tell the moderator to ban me for not commenting the way you want, You can even open a thread and be telling the unmarried lady how complicated marriage is, you can also come and sweep me out of the forum and section nah as I no carry marriage certificate like una wey dey feel married and on top of the world. Excuse me.
FamilyRe: Life For A Woman After A Divorce.... by Ivynwa(f):
---that is the ugly side of the coin people get thrown at when they come baring their soul and hurt here sometimes. The insensitive ones will want to hurl jagged edges at your bloody injury. Now isn't the time to laugh at this lady or tell her that she is being punished for her sin or remind her that she married a divorcee because you yourself married a prim and perfect singlee. Abegii!

This lady is one amazing lady, she had the courage to bring together Nigerian women that are seeking babies through the IVF methods. People (that would have hidden behind facades with fear of our ever judgemental pips laughing at their quest) got inspired and relaxed and shared problems with her. Here she is again opening up shamelessly, she doesn't deserve for anybody to start making fun of her. Where do they get the heart to do these things and laugh at hurting persons?

FlowerPower: ^^^^That is why I think he said it out of anger. If he was intentionally taking it to stop the pregnancy, he would have never told the doctors he was using it. We don't even know if he is still using it. I truly believe he said this out of anger, so he could diminish the severity of his affair. KOMOT! Why would he waste all that money on IVF treatments? She said her husband is American. Is he oyinbo? Is he black? I don't know how long you have been in the states OP, but that may make a difference in how you approach saving your marriage if that is your desire.------------.
Somehow I knew that that won't come from a Nigerian man....all in all I don't think that the nitty gritties one encounter in marriage should be shared here from the way things always go down here and however much a faceless forum this is----some things are better not shared here. We all have one thing or the other that went on in our family that we don't go close to sharing in a forum and some parts of this experience is one of such that should only be shared with close friends. Seriously!

FlowerPower: From previous posts, it seems he took Androgel. I've never met a man who took that for birth control measures. They usually take it to improve their libido. This is especially true of older men who don't feel like their younger selves. I am wondering if he responded to her 'catching him' out of anger, and tried to deflect the attention from what he did. I don't believe he was aware of the side effects until the doctors told both of them. As for the streetwalker, was she really a 'runs' girl, or just some lady he was having a good time with on the side? All I'm trying to say is that the two of you have been through a difficult time, and both of you need to talk and think about having a trial separation before you make a serious life mistake.
@Flowerpoint
I just read that Androgel cream part in the IVF thread, the way she said it in the post here sounded like the man took a very serious-close to irreversible birth control measure. If it is only a cream then it can be stopped but then what the heck is that part about him not wanting to have kids as he already has grown up kids in his former marriage? Why didn't he go for a woman that does not want to have kids instead of tying down a young lady that wants a family and playing wicked trick on her?

If they can still find their way through his betrayal, shouldn't he be considerate and stop using the cream so that she can make her own kids (hoping that the Androgel cream will have no effects on s-perms when he stops using it)? How can she be going through near-trauma to have babies and he is working against all her heavily-risky efforts? He is being unfeeling and heartless. Plenty hugs to you Miss Psm23. kiss
FamilyRe: Life For A Woman After A Divorce.... by Ivynwa(f):
pslm23: Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement. This is indeed a road i never thought i'd walk! When i said "I Do" to him, i fully intended to stay married forever. What this has taught me though is that we as humans might have our own pre-conceived ideas on how we want our lives to turn out but in the long run,God has the ultimate say so!

I will not entirely lay the blame on him because yes, this IVF thing really took its toll on me but that does not warrant what he did, how he did it, putting me, my health and everything i have ever worked for at such great risk. Not knowing if i was going to be told i had contracted some horrible disease that will kill me and to cap it all, he was unapologetic. The ultimate betrayal is telling your wife, that you intentionally took that male birth control measure because you never really wanted any more children cos you have grown children from your first marriage! All these years of IUI, IVF and trying to be a mommy, and it took catching him with a street walker for the truth to come out! I thought i had a happy fulfilled marriage that was only lacking one thing, a child!
This is why i asked, how do i learn to breathe again in a normal way? how can i remove this heaviness from my heart? How will i ever trust anybody again, man or woman!
I am still in therapy, i have travelled to be with my sister and her kids, but the pain is still there. I loved that man with all my heart! I really did! One day, i will stand strong again but i doubt if i ever will love again like i did!
God bless you all for your responses!
Oh my God, when I started reading this thread I was speechless out of sympathy and wondered where others got the strength to talk because I knew about the other thread of this lady where she was struggling with IVF and birthing issues, I do remember her sometimes wondering how she is making out. I was so sad and unhappy that she had to go through this unhappiness then I read this post above and was like "What?!!!!".

Did he get Vasectomy or what without telling his wife and the poor woman was running to the moon and back trying to make babies for them? Jesus Christ! This is wicked but somehow somehow it's for the best that you found out in time and not when you are past child bearing age. If you are still in the age to swing child bearing start wiping your tears and be thanking God that you only have to meet a better person and you are hugging your babies. You should be giving thanksgiving that you've been freed from the devil (I know that you love him and won't want anybody to call him that but he is wicked please) you have been living with. He played with your life, your happiness.

Girl a little good came out of this after all, wipe your tears Sweetie. It is not easy to be this broken hearted but I can't wait for you to get through this and be on your way to joy lane. Haba! Why did he treat you this heartlessly? that is too much------I haven't heard of anybody being this deceiving to a spouse. He is more wicked than the devil, watching you going through the delicate IVF treatment, acting up and praying with you that God will grant you kids when he knew that he took a measure that will not let him make babies with you.

maclatunji: Relax, this story is very believable. The naivety that got OP into this mess is written all-over her posts. These things happen and we shouldn't be quick to dismiss them as false.
Sweetheart, naivety can be acted up too and I am trying to see through this person. We all just finished talking to a young girl with this kind of problem yesterday and I am sure somebody upped and got a username overnight and started this. We will see it all unfold dearie.
FamilyRe: 15 And Pregnant by Ivynwa(f): 8:57pm On Sep 09, 2012
This thread reeks more and more to me like somebody who read the other recent pregnant young girl's thread and staged up this to check out reactions of people. Wish you good luck there whoever this is.

I will watch the drama as it slowly unfolds. If it is real after all, I hope the poster gets directed well by the parents sha.
