Good day house. I applied to a graduate programme at MUN Canada for Fall 2015 and my Acceptancd Letter is on the way.
1. I would like to travel with my wife, a Registered Nurse in Nigeria. Does she need to apply for work visa along with me; or write the IELTS exam and certificate evaluation... Or how do I ensure my spouse goes along with me?
2. Must I write the IELTS exam before being issued visa, though not neccessary for my study?

I fink its beta u go first, let her start d canadian licensure process from here while u r der (includes writing IELTS Academic module) and d process no b here.. Cuz if she goes wiv u, she wldnt be able to work cuz she aint licensed to practice in canada.
Ur oda option cld be helping her get admission in canada & apply for study permit and combine her academics wiv d licensure processing (she shld be through b4 her grad).. Dt way, she'll b in canny wiv u and wldnt be a liability cuz she'll be busy wiv sch things too..

Yep..letter of confirmation of degree / notarized copy of degree needed for my prog & must b sent via mail.. Dunno abt urs

Faculty of Engineering has Nov 1st as deadline for fall 2015 PG application. Its on the faculty's website. What re u applying for? Deadline may b different in faculties.

From the update on the school website, deadline for fall 2015 registration is November 1st 2014. I have started the application process..would complete it today by God's grace. I have not contacted any supervisor but shall do that soon. My priority now is getting my docs accross to them before the deadline.

Did they say Fall 2015 or Winter 2015? Cuz I saw winter 2015 and deadline for fall 2015 as Feb 1. I stand to be corrected though.

Holmes007: For peeps that hold a passport which has less than 6months validity; they should kindly go to the nearest immigration office around and renew their passport.

For peeps that hold a passport in which its validity is more than 6months and will not cover their period of study in Canada; they are required to write a letter to the director-general of NIS at Abuja stating why they need a new passport. They should also attach their admission letter with the letter OR simply renew at Canada when its about to expire.

Guys pls help me, applying to Usask, UofM and MUN for Master of Nursing (fall 2015). Submitted d first 2 app forms but one of my referees (academic) is yet to fill d form, turns out she's computer semi-literate and ever busy plus I'm tired of calling her. Wanna ask d prog coordinator for d schools for a change of referee. Would dis have a negative effect on my applications?

Despite the fact that the company is a seperate entity and has shareholders, if the affidavit/sponsorship letter is signed by @ least 2 of the shareholders and their names duly written on the CAC 2 and CAC 7 (with a regular signature)....its automatically assumed that the applicant can have access to the funds, though to be on the safest side, its good to have a very heavy cash flow and balance as well indicating that the company is a going concern.

In addition, if the applicant is the son of the CEO, he has a very big chance of scaling thru with the company SOA (similar cases have been reported here on NL).

And finally, if the applicant is one of the directors....okwu agwugonu (talk don finish naa)....

Anything outside these 3 cases or being an employee of the company...the chances of scaling thru might be very low...

I applied and I filled Yes twice like u did. I fink it means u wldnt mind being considered for funding and even if funding aint available, u still want d admission.

degreat11: Never ever use a company with limited liability as a SOA when u are not working there, as the name imply the money is not meant for anyone, the company is a separate entity and have shareholders. even with 10billion the VO will still denied you Visa. what you can do is to use ur Sponsor personal account as SOA

Pls what if u are a co-director/shareholder in d company? I'm a civil servant and a co-director in my husband's company and I intend to use the company's SOA when applying for visa next year as he's gonna be my sponsor.
