Kazrem:
iyatrustee I saw you viewing this thread. Are you a nounite?

I was one of the pioneer students who enrolled in 2003. Dumped the program in 2005 due to the take off related issues then. Thanks to this thread and the information it provides, i went online with my matric number and was surprised to find my details intact!

I resumed back August 2015 so yes i am a proud Nounite

Unionism in this part of the world is done upside down.

What could possibly be the reason for their differences? I hope it has nothing to do with the control of Kano State's finances and state of affairs?

I say this because i know both men have been close over the years with Ganduje being Deputy Gov to Kwankwanso and even following him to Abuja when he held a ministeral appointment.

If the reconciliation is for the betterment of Kano, good!, otherwise may it crumble.

This is the new trend?

Na Army own remain

[quote author=lekkie073 post=43970772]I dont think so...
in as much as he has been paid for his services, he has to right to claim 'intellectual property' again.
its like Messi saying his goal exploits should not be shown on barca tv because it is his "intelectual property" [/quotei]

He said he was not paid.

This is clearly a case of breach of contract. He claimed not to have been paid just so his intellectual property properly acknowledged knowing the calibre of personalities involved.

He would most likely get judgement in his favour but not N120million definately.

Ideally, car AC is meant to be off when you are in flooded areas so that the engine fan will not spash water into the alternator and some other vital parts. And most especially, one is expected to drive so slowly in a flooded area because the faster the car the easier flood will splash into the car major components.

The flooded area was not much and i did not forsee any problem. I have learnt something new from this post. So you are to drive in slowly into the waters right?

I experienced this and the mistake i made was to leave my A/C on.

Thanks for the information.

me too in the begining they could not wait to jump into bed, tell every one how they love each other, get married and have children/child and suddenly kabooom! they becomes enemies and wanting to kill each other, but i wonder why it wasn't like this with our parents my parents are still very much married after 60 years. i guess its to do with new generation who either weren't ready for marriage but jumped into it anyway or got married for the lust, money and materials .

what do you think? your opinion please.

I think it is a generational thing. I won't be surprised if they married your mum for your dad and they both learnt and came to love each other as time went by.

These days, minor misunderstandings amongst couples are no longer resolvable, i would be logical if i put some of the blame on the advent of social media

I really never understand how people who fell in love alll of a sudden become arch enemies.

What exactly are we supposed to do with this? Not every news is frontpage material jor

The black gate?

The lady in the red jumpsuit though!

When and how did we get here? Bloggers no longer respect the privacy of dead people and that of their families in their quest for traffic to their various sites.

Imagine that the parents of the lad are yet to be aware of their son's death?

May he RIP.

When and how did we get here?

Every political office holder must be awarded Honorary Doctorate degree?

Well, i forgot it is for sale!

Just how religion should be, a charitable institution and not this competition of whose church is the biggest, private university and jets we presently have.

Little wonder we might never get to the level of Sony music. Def jam records and the rest!

Every artist owns a record label and signs musicians who specialize in producing junk.

Another reason we may never win a grammy.

Not admissible. At least show us the copy of the supossed letter and same should be in her known handwriting

When people want to play smart and use more of sand than cement at the same time using substandard materials.

Who gave the approval for a collapsed building should be as liable as the owner of the building in events like this

I am a Christian, a preacher of the gospel and do not see what is wrong with this. I own and run my own school in Ekiti State. Before the beginning of this term, I had discovered this term will be two weeks short if 2nd term must end with Easter. For me a standard school term should run for a minimum of 13 weeks and a maximum of 14. So I called a meeting of my parents and informed them that the term will extend beyond Easter. The attached is a copy of the Academic calendar that was proposed for the term. I think later in the term, the State Ministry of Education also realized this shortfall and has since ordered all schools to remain open until after Easter. There is no hidden agenda in what Kaduna State Government did. Easter has no fixed date unlike Christmas. Sometimes, Easter comes early (this year is an example) while at other times it comes late (sometimes as late as April ending). No Act of Parliament says second term must end with Easter.

As for Christians who are crying foul, I think there is a misconception that observing a particular holiday makes us more religious. Easter is not about holiday. It is about the cross of Christ. What has that cross done in your life. If you are not born again, spending a month to celebrate Easter will not help you. Besides, what about civil servants who year in year out return to work the nect day after Easter Monday. Why have they not shouted religions marginalization all these years?

Finally, I think those who will hate this development most are school proprietors who would have been calculating the money they will save on running school buses, running hostels , staff salaries (for those who do not pay during holidays) etc. Most of these proprietors are Christians and pastors too.

Let us have 13 weeks 2nd term, Easter or no Easter, I rest my case.

God bless u!

Rayhutar:
That is the school calendar year we have been using since 1960 and whole Africa is also using the same academic calendar, why changing it overnight because it cut short of only 3 days for the schools to close before Easter

Oga, lets be logical here, there wont be school on Good friday and Easter monday. Those are the only 2days that make up the Easter holidays. It would have been different if they would go to school on those days.

Nigerians and the bandwagon effect. I bet majority did not read before commenting.

If you have kids in SS3 and JS3 like i do, then you would know that the term was really short.

Nothing islamic about this at all

RingimKabir:
So you know Kolawole and Jega.

I normally dont respond to people like you. However you want to interprete my post is left to you.

I have voiced my opinion snd trust me, it is devoid of any APC/PDP sentiment you are bringing.

Did they just wake up to their responsibilities?

Are you kidding me! NaetoC's Montana is more than 2yrs and i am sure Iyanya's Gift is more than a year. Songs wey don reign finish.

Yeye dey smell.

My problem in all of this are the gullible and jobless youths caught in the middle of the crossfire.

All this politicians are after the benjamins and power and as such have a common purpose and a meeting point.

I dont see this Amechi/ Wike battle of supremacy lasting more than 4yrs or 8yrs maximum after which they would reconcile

What happens to those of you fighting the battles on their behalf? Probably dead and decomposed away!

........I heard the Gov has relocated his family abroad? A word is enough for the wise

I enjoyed reading through! He is a witty writer. Keep at it brother and you would be one of the Simon Kolawole's, Mahmud Jega's soon

I am sad already. Nigeria has more than enough resources than most countries can boast of.

What is the relevance of this post that a Dec 2015 thread would be recyled?

I hope this ends our reliance on imported tomato puree.

We don copy reach this one too?

This is becoming too sensationalised for my liking.

For now, she should get to jail already
