I am writing from Uyo, Akwa Ibom. I have a problem I wish to share in order get your reactions and candid advice.
its quite an epistle but I will try to be brief as possible.
My dad relocated to Ibadan in the early 90's to seek greener pastures. he met his first wife there and they had a daughter (my dad was apparently disappointed because he needed a son).
After about five years without any sign of another child forth coming, my dad met my mum and together they bore a son (me). this angered my step-mum because she was desperate for a male child, as at then.
After many drama and quarrel, my dad took me away from my mum when I was of age for school; to my step-mum.
Apparently I grew up to realization that the woman I took as a mother was not my biological mother, but my step mum. As years came by, I discovered that, whenever I am around those who know my story, they always talk about a particular woman and addressing her as my mum. Out of curiosity I asked my stepsister if this was true and she just started crying with any reasonable answer. I felt bad and decided never to ask such ridiculous question ever again.
I left Ibadan for Abuja in 2011 for my secondary school , when my dad was transfered in his work place.
after high school, I decided to school at Akwa Ibom with the hope of meeting my biological mum. fortunately for me I established contact with her but was disappointed with what I discovered. she was accompanied by two girl and introduced them as my sisters!!! I was shocked and speechless. Aged 17 and 15 respectively, yet could not express themselves in English.
I was glad however of meeting them but till date, almost 2 years, we cant bond and create that family relationship yet. I am worried because I dont share a very mutual relationship with my dad, step-mum and stepsister either. consequently I can't keep friendship or any serious relationship.
I know deep down I need help. I am human and I need to interact with people. In my 3rd year in university now, I can't still relate and socialise with my colleagues and fellow students also. I am a true definition of "A LONE MAN".
What can I do?

To the author of this incredible piece,
I envy your writing skills and so wish to reach your level and beyond someday. that is by the way.
I have a challenge of bonding my with mother even having spent close to a year with her. similarly, I don't feel like a have any strong relationship with my siblings and it affecting my social life negatively.
Your advice can save a drowning young lad.
