The preservation of Fundamental human right is even above the constitution and it ensures freedom of association.
So you cant force union upons anybody - it's voluntary
It's pointless engaging you on this discourse.

You're right, my friend. Very right. I'm sure Dangote doesn't know this line. I hope he sees it, so he can show PENGASSAN and stop this drama.

Take care!

Imagine having equal votes with someone with this kind of thinking. Many Nigerians go to school but are uneducated. A workers union is meant to protect the rights of workers in the union and is recognized by our labor laws and not to build refineries. Nigerians are so used to being mistreated at work that they can't even phantom that they should have rights to fair treatment.
As simple as the bolded is, many Nigerians cannot understand it.

God help us!

I laugh at all of them talking against NUPENG and PENGASSAN. They are uninformed. Most of them are hawkers and road side kiosks owners who do not know what these unions stand for.

Both the workers and the refinery ultimately serve one group: the end-users—the people. If the people don’t want any disruption in supply, who are the workers to complain? Between workers, investors, and the end-users, who is easier to replace? Resisting change only leads to being crushed. It’s better to embrace change first, then find ways to align your interests with those of the end-users and investors. If not, the door is always open.
So if they owe me for months, or provide poor working conditions, because you don't want any disruption, I shouldn't complain abi?

Must every work place have a union ?
The only thing I know unions do in Nigeria is control pricing and armtwist employers .

Where were the unions when Tinubu removed subsidy , them kept quiet because it favours them
Now , someone is trying to terminate the oil cabals they are going on strike
Yes, according to the Nigerian Labour Law. It stipulates that if a workplace has a particular number of staff, they MUST have a Union.

Yes..

You've been talking since. I'm not sure you know the full meaning of PENGASSAN to begin with.

You're acting as if PENGASSAN is the only union in that refinery.

Pengassan to start with isn't fight for the collective rights of anyone but senior oil staff.
So, what about the other thousands of Nigerians working there? Lol.

Guy, dey stop to think sometimes.
Can you tell us another Union in that refinery?

I am very sure you will disappear now. I am sure

Tell me another Union again that has opened there, apart from PENGASSAN.

No my comment is not the problem, chinese n Lebanese treat our people anyhow cos our leaders (govt/union) sold us out to those IOC

if your neighbour see your parent nd still beat you mercilessly in front of your dad know dem don collect dowry on your head cheesy

You know Osifo pengassan president said the same thing, Total, shell, mobile are ten times bigger ... and i felt ashame for his 1st class, what a shame

1st Total, shell and mobile are not in the same line of production has Dangote refinery ... shell, total are miners they are suppose to be bigger cos they are top on the distribution chain, they feed n supply refineries
ideally dangote refinery is bigger than any depot or marketer oil farm .. comparing dangote with shell is invalid

Shell n Total can't run down becos that part of the oil sector is crucial to Nigeria heartbeat, if they grumble it ... No money for anybody again.

On the contrary Refinery is that sector, Nigerian enemy dont want to Function at All, 4 refineries we own are under Pengassan for decades have you ever seen pengassan shut down the nation nd say enough is enough this refineries must work ... most of our members are 1st class intellectual we will work with the contractors to ensure the refineries work

Pengassan feels it ok to shut down the economic becos of 800 workers But i want Osifo to do the maths of members they for get if only the other refineries are working actively .. why that one no pain them

with the actions of Pengassan to bully Dangote into sunmission, Please does that motivate Investors to come build refinery here, with shege Dangote don see since he began that refinery why should any investor risk his fund in that sector ... 1st class my Ass
So Shell, Seplat, 11Plc, Chevron, and hundreds of foreign firms are not investors, abi?

You don't even know what side you're one.

Foreign investors will disappear if Unions exist, but all the foreign investors actually have the Unions. It's our own Nigerian brother that is scared of having it.

You're funny—do you really think Dangote can afford to pay everyone? Nobody wants fuel scarcity or disruptions to their daily lives and livelihoods, which is exactly what this drama could lead to if it continues. Plus, the past behavior of these unions has already left a sour taste in many people's mouths. They’re often seen as self-centered and rarely show genuine concern for the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.
A Workers Union is for Workers, not for you.

What concerns PENGASSAN with an Ordinary Nigerian? Are you part of PENGASSAN?

I don't even understand you guys. You type so well, but choose to compose a text without intelligence.

PENGASSAN is fighting for the rights of its workers. It's not for ordinary Nigerians. It's not for poor people. It's not for filling stations.

But because we deliberately and intentionally choose to be ignorant everyday, we cannot see clearly

That is what happens when they give someone like that such platforms. The organizers should've invited someone as musically versatile and cerebral as Saheed Osupa instead of Taye Currency. Currency is not worthy of the platform and he confirmed it with his yeye performance.

Imagine singing "weyrey la fin wo weyrey " at the coronation of a first class Oba like the Olubadan. Something that even hip-Hop and younger artistes like Olamide , Wizkid, Davido, etc won't do. And I learnt that Currency's son is in the Oyo state House of assembly as chief whip or something like that. Man wey get piking wey don old reach that level come dey sing rubbish for the Coronation ceremony.

Another reason may be because of the state they both came from.

Taye is from Oyo state (I'm guessing). Maybe Saheed is not.

So they decided to give it to the Son of the soil. But the organizers should have let him know what was expected.

Union is only is in an environment hosted by bad irresponsible n bad leaders Buh with a responsible Mgt i swear Union dues is just a waste of money

Dangote have lasted 20yrs in business that not the kind of devil you warn or caution us about undecided e no owe cement workers salary naa refinery workers e go start to maltreat, and send to pick beans
Your comment is the exact reason why we have hundreds of Chinese & Lebanese companies suffering Nigerians in their companies

No wonder nobody takes us seriously, and I have always had the opinion that Nigerians themselves do not even know what they want

Shell and Chevron are 10 times bigger than Dangote. They have not folded up. They have not run down. They are under PENGASSAN.
