CrystalTiger: What concerns Nigerian media houses is to invite politicians and be asking them silly questions..
Zero coverage about the level of insecurity in this country..Even Nations at war don't have the number of dead people that's being reported now in Nigeria.. Our Zeal for political analysis Everytime, is making us not to see the true picture of Nigeria - Seun Kuti, 2025 I wonder how a Soldier who's allowance is 3k a day for staying in the bush would feel, when he sees a government giving money to Bandits (the same people who killed his friends and would kill him) as Peace deal. Isn't it better he sells Intel to Bandits, and secures his future? Insecurity will consume this country faster than we think. |

BlueRayDick: One thing I’ve come to realize is that a lot of Nigerians are stupiiid , as in very stupiiid and that is a fact irrespective of the number of degrees and professional qualifications attached to their profile on LinkedIn or the blue tick to their handles on twitter and IG. The way people drop dumb takes over this Dangote vs PENGASSAN issue has further confirmed my beliefs on that .
You will see takes like : “ Workers are free to unionize , but Dangote is also free to not want unionism in his refinery ; so he’s right to sack all Nigerian staff who opted to join PENGASSAN” . You will also see them arguing with u when u are trying to educate them ; they will conclude by saying “ If you don build your own refinery, allow the workers to unionize na make we see if u won’t regret it “.
Like these guys are so ignorant and talk as if all these IOC’s like Shell , Chevron, Total, etc who have been in Nigeria for decades have not been allowing unionism and have been having smooth employee relations . E reach Dangote turn, he claims unionism equals to sabotage of his operation .
The only reason Dangote doesn’t want his staff joining PENGASSAN is because he knows every two years they will call for a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) that will see their salaries adjusted in line with the current economic realties and improve their general welfare in line with the company’s earnings . PENGASSAN will not allow the management to be taking in tens of millions of dollars while the staff generating the income are living from hand to mouth . This is what Dangote is not prepared for and thinks he can use emotions and propaganda to dodge .
What PENGASSAN is dragging with him has no political undertone at all; but a lot of dumb Nigerians have been programmed to see things from the angle of “ the cabals don’t want Dangote refinery to succeed “ . It must be said that Dangote has been used to abusing the rights of his staff to unionize in the fertilizer space , cement space and other industries he’s invested . So trying to make him obey the law in the oil and gas space caught him unawares ; hence why he’s spending so much on influencers to change the narrative on the mind of dumb Nigerians being manipulated without their consent . Everyday I go out, I always remind myself that a lot of Nigerians don't know what they want. If you look at those defending Dangote, they are mostly people who haven't worked in a corporate space or big firm. They really don't understand what a Union is. No employer can love you more than your Union. Suddenly, Dangote has the right to decide because he built his with his money, but Chevron, Shell, 11, Seplat, collected isusu from Nigerians, so they don't have the right. |

BlueRayDick: Omo! They need to do something about this insecurity issue o.
Just earlier today I saw a post on twitter about a lady that was kidnapped on her way back from the recent call to bar ceremony they did in Abuja last week . She finally became a lawyer , went for her call to bar ceremony and while on her way back Bandits/kidnappers abducted her and some other people they traveled together .
Funny thing is almost everybody has moved on like nothing happened but her family have been in pain and agony since that day till now . It's weird. Kwara seems to be the new state they have planned to scatter. I am starting to think that all these attacks (Yes, all of them) are sponsored by people in the system. Because tell me how a man in Bayelsa killed his real estate agent friend, and he was still caught and arrested in Lagos, but Kidnappers will kill and make calls, and even collect money, and yet, nobody can find them. Bandit leaders converged on one spot, and the government didn't seem it fit to catch them all. Rather, they honoured them with cash prizes and Chieftaincy titles. |

Especially not the north which has an army of almajiris ready to take up slots in banditry No offence to our Northern brothers, but that region is gone. The rate of crime/insecurity in this country is something else o. This AriseTV staff died this morning when armed robbers attacked her residence in Abuja . Nooooohh 2027 is more important. Everyday is now back to back attacks in Kwara, and nobody is saying anything. My last line of hope was erased when I saw that Peace deal with bandits in Katsina. Even the IGP defended the Peace deal. It will spread, and maybe it needs to personally start touching people, before they understand the mess Nigeria is in. May God comfort her family. |

Dangote knows how to press the ignorant button of Nigerians. Now, everybody is lamenting how NUPENG is collecting 50,000 per truck.
Why I don't know and support whatever that levy is, it is very insignificant in this matter
50,000 naira for 30,000 litres means nothing. No Petrol station will even reflect that on the price. That's like 2naira on each litre, which obviously if it is added, you need to buy 500 litres to pay 1,000 out of that levy.
What has 50,000 levy have to do with obeying the labour laws of the country? |

semid4lyfe: He's been moving like he's interested in contesting but I hope he doesn't.
PDP and ADC are courting him cos he's the only Southern candidate who is constitutionally limited to a single four years term and is barred from re-contesting, which guarantees a return of power to the North in 2031. They feel that'd be an easier sell in the North than the promises of Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi to do a single term.
Naija now be like Further Maths, and is 100x more difficult than 2015. If GEJ barely passed the Maths exam hin write from 2010 to 2015, then e too sure say hin go flunk this Further Maths exam of today.
Funnily enough. as much as I like him, and supported him in 2015, I do think Peter Obi and PBAT are more suited to be at the helm of affairs now than Jonathan.
Anyways, until hin talk with him mouth say hin go contest, I will continue to believe otherwise. Make hin no ruin the nostalgic respect and fondness that Nigerians have for him. His humiliation will be loud. So loud that for years, he would be the laughing stock of the media for a full tenure I don't even see what he intends to bring, other than "I can only do one tenure". BlueRayDick: Dangote will learn in the oil and gas industry .
I have a WhatsApp group screenshot I would’ve loved to share but due to privacy concerns I can’t . I learnt Dangote prohibited unionism in his Cement business, Fertilizer business , Sugar and flour business. He’s been getting away with it for long .
He doesn’t allow workers in all the industries he’s invested in to unionize and he pays them peanuts compared to other industry players . He gets away with it because of his influential business name and the unemployment issue in naija .
He wants to replicate same in the oil and gas industry but PENGASSAN is saying no because they know the implication of Dangote succeeding . He would give other employers in the sector something to ponder on and the oil and gas sector would become what the manufacturing sector has already become . His only option now is to incite Nigerians against the unions but unfortunately for him PENGASSAN is not NLC u can use politics to drag because NLC registered Labour Party . PENGASSAN will stand on business for their members . Dem deal with Abacha even when he was arresting their top members . Exactly what I thought about last night It's possible that Dangote is seriously fighting Unionism in his refinery, because he knows other of his companies would revolt if it happens. |

BlueRayDick: Obi is imperfect like every human on this earth , but honestly I admire how he’s kept it together and refused to budge under the immense blocks upon blocks of obstacles the ruling party has thrown at him.
I like how he has conducted himself despite pressure from his own supporters to do “fire for fire “ and how even the ruling party and their underlining as have tried to probe him to lose his cool to commit political seppuku . He don try abeg !
If u look at people like DonJ that are hot blooded supporters that have asked him to throw caution to the wind at the risk of falling prey of the ruling party’s antics and even paid influencers like Reno that have been goading him ; Obi needs to be commended irrespective of his imperfections .
On the Olubadan issue , until Ladoja the new Olubadan comes out to chastise Obi for calling him “my brother “ ; every other politician or paid influencer calling for Obi’s head are just doing their part to find something to drag Obi since the corruption angle has refused to work in their Favour . When Reno dragged him yesterday, they showed him the exact same word in that of Tinubu and Atiku. He was mute. This strategy of attacking someone for anything and everything is toxic. Simple congratulations, and they have turned it to a lot. |

I must really commend Obi's approach to being opposition.
It sincerely beats my expectation. Even politicians in the USA haven't kept it together.
They keep picking on this guy over nothing and everything, yet he doesn't cross that line. Still attacks issues, and keeps the messenger out of it.
Because tell me how everyone called the Olubadan "Brother", and only one person is singled out to be abused.
This has nothing to do with governance, but this is a trait I even wish I can have. |

BlueRayDick: And so it begins .
PENGASSAN strike has began with the NEC of the union calling for the withdrawal of service by all PENGASSAN members across all field locations today and across offices by tomorrow Monday .
I got first hand information that traveling at NLNG boat terminal has been halted already because it is PENGASSAN members that operate it. Access to the industrial area of NLNG train 3 has also been denied to all and sundry by PENGASSAN members . Dangote probably thought it was NUPENG that we will be bantering and addressing with tweets PENGASSAN no even get time to argue with am. That's the power of a Union, and any worker who thinks his employer is more of a friend that his Union, is probably ignorant. |

I guess the two Australian female doctors who are in Gaza also have their own agenda for calling out the evil taking place there? Maybe Australian, Canadian, French and even British Prime Minister also have agenda too. Every should continue to support what they want to support... So, if Israel orchestrated Oct 7, and blamed it on Hamas, why did Hamas claim the responsibility? Make it make sense to me.
