raumdeuter: Did you have a choice not to write those statements at the time the issues happened? You don survive that encounter jare nothing dey happen
Naah
I didn't have a choice.
I remember the first one I wrote. The policewoman offered to write for me. I said No.
After writing, she returned it back and said I should change the way I described what happened.. I remember how we argued back and forth.
Na me wan write, but you wan explain my own experience for me.
DPO came and dissolved the matter though. Spent the whole day sitting behind the counter till the DPO came and said I was free to go, because I wasn't guilty
Is there any worthy link to prove this? I don't want to believe this is true because some of the roads and figures there do not make sense
195B for Lagos Ibadan expressway? What part are they still constructing?
148B for 2nd Niger Bridge? The one they have completed, abi na another one?
150B for Enugu Onitsha expressway? The road that every Chima, Edu and Okpa knows that it is MTN that is doing it?
I actually wanted to keep quiet, but make agenda no go turn fact. Na why I quote am.
BlueRayDick: People no dey even sign any bail form sef. U only sign bail form when the issue borders on maybe they are trying to recover money from one party and needs to sign undertaking that he will be paying weekly/monthly.
Once police collect bribe (which they call bail), dem go release u and tell u to go & sin no more.
I drove a friend to go see his relative that was arrested for doing "runs"at her work place and was caught. The police arrested the two ladies involved, investigated and claimed the amount the two ladies had stolen from their employer was over 30m but their boss was willing to accept 20m and have them released instead of prosecuting them.
The police held the two ladies for over a week at their station (Which is illegal) until their relatives were able to cough out 10m each to refund the boss from whom the ladies allegedly stole.
Guess what? The police collected 800k each from each lady's family as "bail" after the total 20m the police recovered on behalf of the ladies' boss. Something tells me that apart from 1.6m the police collect as bail, the ladies' boss will still pay them for their "service" out of the 20m the police recovered.
According to my friend, the police didn't keep any record of the whole thing. They were happy the whole recovery business worked out without having to prosecute the ladies (which won't fetche them any income) and were advising my friend to talk to his relative among the two ladies to turn a new leaf. .Naija police mad gan, after dem collect ur money finish, dem go come advise u.
I think this is part of their course outline in Police Colleges
They will advise you and sympathize with you, as if no be dem just obtain you now now.
Some go as far as giving your their phone numbers to save, in case you run into trouble.
BlueRayDick: Dem no dey file those statements; if no be major issue and u don pay the premium bail/bribe and they release, best believe dem don already trash the statement.
Really?
The fact say I even write am still dey vex me.
Ihebu4chelsea: Na God dey save person for this 9ja ooo, No be by who smart pass, can you believe uptil now I have never had any business to do with the police, Like I have not been to a Police station in my entire life.
Abeg keep that record till you die oh
That place no be where anybody suppose reach; Whether na to find help or answer query.
If I had my way, I will break into the stations where I have written statements, and tear them up
BlueRayDick: This guys spent 10 years in prison for manslaughter after he wrestled with a big man who tried to do LGBTQ with him forcefully and the man died in the process
KingTom: He has become a victim of the system and feels the outside world has nothing else to offer him, he'll prefer to even die in jail since that's all he's known his whole life 😔
Yes oh.
He asked them to leave him there.
Nigerian prisons will take away your destiny, and live you to watch yourself become useless
When you eventually come out, nobody will want to associate with you. I dey see Oyibo documentary of decent ladies dating men that went to prison.
Omoh, nobody go near you for here. Even soap wey you wan use do soapy sef no go gree comot from the pack.
BlueRayDick: Exactly! It's just like buying yam at 1k per tuber in Otukpo Benue state and trying to disprove someone else's claim of buying yam at 5k per Tuber at Mile 12 Market in Lagos.
The only satisfaction I get from buying cheap food items from one region to another is because I am the one consuming it.
If na to sell, you will obviously understand the hard way, why people actually sell it at that price.
semid4lyfe: Well, I live in the South Eastern state that is famed for cultivating rice and here foreign rice is barred so we majorly consume local rice that we buy directly from the rice mill, not supermarket stores so that may also be a factor.
I remember well cos I went with a bag from home to the rice mill that day, and when I got there, I discovered they had changed their bags so I had to buy the new one for N500. Na the rice we still dey chop for house, though e don nearly finish.
My total expenses that day; Rice - 25k Bag - 500 Destoning - 500
Total - 26k.
Una dey chop local rice? Trust me, its tastier and more nutritious than foreign rice, and you'd love it. As rice dey cheaper here, maybe I fit dey supply una.
Oya try waybill 10 bags to Lagos, and hear 5k for each bag (after you lose your voice through pleading)
Then when e reach Jibowu, you charter bus wey go carry am reach your shop. Another 30k on top.
When you do plus and minus, you go end up with 42k cost price, wey Blueraydick buy.
monerozi5590: Emefiele in his own wisdom, knowledge and capacity as someone in charge of monetary policies was trying to manage the exchange rate by banning AbokiFx.
You are saying it was late Buhari. (RIP Sir)
When you want to talk about who built the 2nd Niger Bridge, I never hear you say it was Fashola
When you want to talk about who boosted rice production, I never hear you call the Minister of Agriculture
When we talk about the problems of his regime, you cherrypick individuals and save Late Buhari.
There is God oh, Maigida.
At least, you didn't accuse me of disrespecting him.
KingTom: My brother you've told no lies, worse still for people like him who aren't even serving a sentence, they don't know when it'll end they just cling on to whatever strand of hope they have left. Looking at that boy's body, he must have been sexually and physically abused since the tender age of 12, and the abuse must've turned him into a completely different animal. I pray his reintegration into society is seamless and smooth
He even has a family to return to.
Some have no families and friends anymore. No life outside those walls again. From good people who made mistakes, to monsters who have no hope.
A lady and her team went to the prisons and sought the release of a prisoner on trial. Omoh, Baba no gree comot prisons oh. E say e nobody dey find am for outside
BlueRayDick: Shebi na here we dey when they were suggesting that consumer protection goes after market associations, superstore/supermarket owners, etc to force them to reduce price despite inflation figures on the rise. Dem say na the market sellers wicked.
Reminds me of when Late Buhari blamed and banned AbokiFX for the rising exchange rates
BlueRayDick: No matter how u advise some people , they won't listen; dem plenty on social media wella. When I read some of them's takes I just shake my head.
Look at the two in the link below, on top matter wey no concern them they will spend 2 good months in remand before the judge even hears their case or appeal for bail. They carried placards alleging Mohbad's widow killed him. That one petitioned the police to have them arrested and prosecuted and the presiding judge has ordered for them to be remanded till September.
BlueRayDick: There’s propaganda and there’s actual governance .
Below is a tweet from one of the useful ediots parading themselves as influencers who was gaslighting people with the reduced price of rice about 2 months ago .
About that same period he claimed rice is now 55k for 50kg , Bokku which is arguably the cheapest retailer of rice was selling 25kg of their cheapest brand for 40k .
Funny thing is u will see people who don’t live in Nigeria but supporting the government from afar will be referencing those tweets as evidence that prosperity is here
Nigeria is very beautiful to live online.
Dangote reduces fuel from 870 to 850.
Then you will see Online citizens shouting that greed is why transport, school fees, house rent is not reducing, since fuel reduced by 20 naira
Forgetting that a driver only saved 2000 naira if he buys 100 litres of fuel. How can that be significant?
KingTom: Or dies and forgets about you, or even retires
It's really crazy oh.
Imagine awaiting trial for more than 8 years.
To anyone who stays in Nigeria, avoid anything that will make you reach the gate of a prison. Yes, we can only be careful to an extent, but your Eleda sef go know say you try.
Nigerian prisons are not what you'll wish on anyone. The whole process will render your life useless. Death no go kill you. Depression sef no go kill you.
You'll just waste years of your life with no hope in sight

This is the Modus Operandi of the current APC government, they will dish out so called facts/stats that don't align with the current realities of the everyday Nigerian and when u challenge if they will either call u blind or claim u are an enemy of good news.
I remember how there was a propaganda campaign on Twitter around may/June this year talking about how 50kg of rice now sells for as low as 50 something thousand naira; only for me to buy 25kg to gift to an acquaintance few weeks after for 40 something thousand. 🤦♂️
I don’t know when these people will realize that propaganda is not governance at all.
You no price am well nau
According to OasisX, it's 5,000 naira in Benin Republic, and without custom duty, it should be 7,000 in Nigeria.
Wey that funny mathematics wey circulate here that time?
