His lawyers replied oh

Settled ke?

Infact, they will retract whatever they served him grin

His lawyers maintained that their post was dubious, because they offered a discount that wasn't there in the first place

They also said they have reported them to EFCC for transacting in dollars, and they listed the Section blah blah blah that they violated.

Concerning this. I.was going to the Mobil station I usually buy fuel in my area (opposite Christland Idimu), and I saw that the Mobil has turned to MRS. Lol. I asked the girl that sold fuel to me when this happened, and she said on Sunday.

Dangote and his cousin really mean business.
They are now franchising

Meaning, the pump can still be cheating people, but people will run into it because it's MRS.

Since the MRS wave started, some useless stations have changed to MRS.

Well maybe it's a bubble, even cost of renting apartments isn't smiling.
I understand that there are definitely going to be properties that are pricey

But the truth is everyone is joining the trend.

Transformer is around 7-9m
If there are 50 properties in the Estate, it's 180k per house

If there are 100 properties, it's 90k per house

So what exactly is so huge in providing a transformer that will warrant a house having extra millions on it as the cost?

Yea, nobody if forcing them to buy...house cheap for Shaga and Ipaja but dem wan stay Lekki so dem gats pay Lekki price grin

There was some realtor who did a video analyzing the expenses that developers in Nigeria have to deal with that developers in other countries have no business with...things like getting transformers, constructing roads and drainage, electric poles, and others...all of this gets added to the cost of land and eventually price of properties.

There was even a post by Jarus where he said the cost of constructing a property in Lagos, Abuja and Kwara, is pretty much same, but it's the cost of land that's the big difference.
A very flimsy defence, in my opinion.

How much is transformer and Pole? Something wey my mama street for Badagry dey contribute buy?

All these ones na Lamba.

And if you say the main Koko is the cost of the land, Scott is asking what gave it that value?

Yes I have seen his videos
I don't think it concern the government, I agree on the overpricing but we need to know no one is forcing them to buy.
I only think government should find ways to tax them certain percentage on every property they sell maybe that will make them regulate it
It has to concern the government, especially when people are listing in dollars.

In his defence, these outrageous prices is putting pressure on the economy, which is true.

Two years ago, we were looking for an Office space in Lekki. The Agent gave us 400sqm at 120,000 naira per Sqm

That's 48,000,000 on rent, yearly

If I am paying 48,000,000 only for rent, what do you think the cost of my goods will look like?

Yes, you can say it's Lekki, but the madness is now on the mainland.

It's market capture, some idiot somewhere has seen that the solar industry is booming, and instead of looking for how to compete with others, he's trying to use his pull with the FG to corner to entire market to himself...and probably won't be doing any local production sef.
The thing shock me.

One industry that others should emulate is the wire and cable industry.

The Nigerian local producers didn't have to force anyone to stop importation. They simply improved on the quality of the cables and the pricing.

Today, Nigerian cables are preferred to anything China in the market.

The market is not familiar with any local panel yet, you wan stop importation. Ohh grin

You saw differently. They didn't scold Oby because the Senator had already done the needful and not because he interjected and called Oby and his team, unserious as you claimed.

The Senator should have asked the chairman to ask for apology for the foul language used on him. Trust me, the chairman would have asked Oby to apologize despite the senator interjecting.
I didn't claim oh. I said "Maybe"

That was an organised session, and I would like to believe that if the Senator had interjected, and Oby didn't say anything, they would have cautioned him. True or False?

I am not defending her insults. I don't even see why I should insult an adult.

The only reason I engaged you was you tried to paint some form of innocence on the Senator. He insulted her. Even when Oby kept quiet, he refused to stop.

All these back and forth ehn, it could've been saved if u had just said this during the Edo governorship election " ....that you were wrong in 2023 when u said anything PDAPC was bad and that only a Labour Party candidate in different state and House of Assembly elections can save the country "

If u had said the above, most people would've allowed u support Asue in peace; at most they will call u hypocrite for changing ur stand within one year, but then that's where it ends.

Have u ever wondered that the same way u feel about Asue being the man for the job in Edo despite supporting Obi for president is the same way people who supported Obi for president and Sanwoolu's re-election also felt ?

Exactly these politicians are assholes that play stupid antics just to disgust you and once you let your emotions betray you they will ride on it
So, maybe I'm wrong, but this was what led to the whole thing

Oby and her team were being interviewed by the committee (The Senator was not part of them. He was for Akpabio's defense)

The Committee said Oby and her team cannot speak yet (They were trying to explain why)

Oby and her team too were trying to give the Committee reasons why they need to. All these was without arguments

Senator interjected and said "Since these people are not serious....."

That's when Oby told him to shut up.

Maybe I am wrong, but that was what I have understood from the whole thing.

And maybe that is why the Committee didn't reprimand Oby, because no one asked him to speak, talk more of calling them "Unserious"

Oby is reckless with words.

But what is funny is you saying he was shouting. No, that's not true. He insulted her

He said "You're a fool" up to 5 times
He said "You're an insult to womanhood" twice.
