I served there. In my LGA there were only 2 doctors. I was in one town as NYSC doctor and there was one permanent doctor in the other big town which was the LGA headquarters.

Outside government civil service jobs there is basically nothing else happening there. It is the land that time forgot.

But whoever formulated that NBS data suppose collect National honours for stupidity.

That data cannot make sense whether you adopt am or not.

GDP per capita for Jigawa is $990
GDP per capita for Anambra is $163

Ahn Ahn.....

I feel that data was cooked to achieve some political score and most likely favour a particular region (name witheld).

Yobe sef pass Anambra.. grin grin grin

In Yoruba tradition , nobody cares whether u sleep , kneel or stand to greet an elder at a funeral. Elders don't even go to funerals in Yoruba tradition .

We need to put things into context here . That was a funeral service and not some meet and greet gathering .
I asked about greeting an elder.

I did not ask about a funeral

His point is wrong in that the fact that she did not stand up to greet this one man at the occasion of the wake keeping of her father, mother, and brother IS NOT evidence of her lack of home training.

You can't conclude anything about her background from this single picture taken in a situation in her life that most likely none of us has ever faced.
Well..

Unfortunately this not the first funeral and it won't be the last. It is actually true. If the lady was used to standing up to greet elders she would instinctively stand up, bereaved or not.

U don't sit to greet an elderly person under normal circumstance .

U think say the girl dey normal for that scene ? Somebody that lost both parents and brother ( who happens to be her closest friend ) all in one day; na that person dem dey expect to stick with normal protocol ?

If na me sef I fit no greet anybody sef . I have lost a loved one and I know what grief can do to people .
