Itsrm: I was going to tell theflint1 to buy one danfo and hit the road. To better understand drivers reality, he can take one on weekly rentals. He should come back to tell us what his experience is after one month.
I drove on Uber bro.
That money is peanuts. I go swim enter inside flooded estate for 700 naira trip
Then when the Wheel hub starts, 15k never solve the problem
Itsrm: Haha, I like how you guys are punching the numbers. You see, unlike you guys, I actually run a transportation business so I know better. Though its not in Lagos, I doubt there's much difference.
First, most of those drivers you see don't own the vehicles. How much of this thing you're punching actually goes to the pocket of the person doing the maintenance. It's still from this thing you're punching they'll pay lastma when they run foul of the law.
Lets talk about maintenance. One of the vehicles I use recently had engine issues. I spent almost 200k to rebuild it. That was all the car had given me in two and half months!
There are just so many variables that you guys are not considering. Who no go no know
I was about to type this.
It's all Extortion and Wickedness from the drivers until you buy your own car and hit the road.
Itsrm: Afrodoc2 was not wrong. The guy has diagnosis. If I knew his family members, I'll advice they tie him down with a rope before he enters the street.
BlueRayDick: I know, but these guys dey make money for Lagos so it's expected they spend the money in Lagos too. Most times na their reckless lifestyle dey make dem no dey make ends meet. Dem dey date women who sell in parks, dem.dey cancel bottles steady and dey gamble wella. These aforementioned vices would always be their albatross even if they earn tens of thousands daily.
But Ibadan drivers no dey drink, date women and gamble abi?
BlueRayDick: Maybe transportation is cheap in the part of Nigeria u live in; but transportation is not cheap in Lagos. The cheapest u pay from one bus stop to another in Lagos is ₦100.... I mean a bus stop to another which is trekkable within 5 mins.
larride: Even at that, immediately Ayu became National Chairman, they had to make sure the no 2 person is from the South.
It is lack of foresight that makes them give the North the no 1 and no 2 position in the party.
If Wike had won the ticket, with a Southerner as Chairman, Tinubu would have won by December, because it would look like a Southern party.
He did the right thing, but Atiku got to the finish line first
larride: You know when the idea of BRT started to phase out Molue then, it was those same drivers and NURTW personnel that was given first consideration to be in charge of the buses and see what they turned it into before a new model was introduced and Primero was won the bidding.
I think its time the government begins to take some of these stuffs seriously
If they would not fix their vehicles and make it road worthy, they should be ready to collect a Hire purchase from the government.
Let all these scraps of iron that we call commercial buses leave us once and for all
Itsrm: He's trying to be clever by half. If APC continues to win over the next 50 years, is he saying PDP must continue to zone the presidency to the North because the last one was from the South?
Let's not forget that it was this same Atiku who worked against Jonathan in 2015 because it was the turn of the North. So it was the turn of the North in 2015, their turn in 2019, their turn in 2023 and their turn forever.
That is why Pa Adebanjo made sense with his speech. With the political parties, there won't be equity
If BAT loses to Atiku, APC would not present a Southerner as a flag bearer after 8 years. It would be a Northerner. So, would you say the APC in the south is wrong if they ask for the ticket after 8 years?
But if we make it a law to Zone, every party would have to look for his candidate in that Zone. That sounds more fair.
Itsrm: I am talking about the PDP presidential primary. It should have been zoned. If it was, it would have been zoned to the south because the North had it in 2019.
Atiku knew this and made sure the zoning was jettisoned.
We are talking about Ayu first. I'm glad you know that has been settled.
I totally agree it should be zoned to the South. But Atiku's defence was that PDP's last president was from the South. So, he's in line to ask for it to go to the North.
Itsrm: The constitution also states that party and elective offices MUST be zoned. Why was the presidential primaries thrown open and not zoned?
Those who are shouting consitution now were the same people who jettisoned the constitution. They are used to always having their way and bending that same constitution when it favours them.
Unfortunately for them, this time, they have met their match.
The elective office must be zoned when A TENURE FINISHES.
Has Ayu's tenure finished? No
So why should it be zoned? Or Buhari should resign and zone the seat to SE without handing over to Osibanjo?
Her husband bought APC Presidential ticket for 100m and lost scandalously . They could’ve added another 100m to that money, buy 4 fairly used passenger boats like the one below; paint the boat in whatever color and commission it. People would praise them and it would make much sense than this nonsense .
Was she not the one in a trending video sharing bundles of cash to security men?
Well, dem go still vote him husband stooge when the time comes.
I no dey stay Kogi state. Make dem paddle their canoe well
GloriousGbola: E sweet die. No more one hour to link mile 2. No more 15 to 20 minutes of zero movement. Traffic robber economy in the mud. With this, I can link my old office in 30 minutes. Possibly (not sure) to also return same way.
Gradually, Mile 2 traffic would reduce drastically.
Once that rail commences, together with the BRT, most of the commuters would abandoned those rickety LT buses. And those buses are part of the problems too.
So it would automatically relocate most of them to another route. Maybe Mile 2 to Agbara.
So, we know it's only containers and tankers that is our headache
