Anyways as to your point, where have I ever said "igbos developed Lagos"? I mean some certainly did, in conjoining with several others but the federal government, pre and post colonial were certainly the biggest developers of Lagos.
I don't know what you intend to gain by posting some of these tweets.

Lagos is not No man's land
Lagos presented us with opportunities. And that's why we are here.

Opportunities are the catalysts for migration. I don't know any Igbo that woke up, took his hard earned money and travelled to Lagos just to build houses and contribute to their GDP. He definitely found and opportunity here, exploited to his advantage, and did that.

You say you're not a tribalist, but at every single opportunity, you throw jabs at other tribes.

Govt services can only work optimally if everyone there is an angel. If you bring Americans to Nigeria within 6months they will start collecting bribes,

Why do you think Joe Bidens son in this same America is floating a consulting company and collecting money from Ukraine for many years because he is connected to the big boss,
Why do you think Dick Cheneys Halliburton got most of the Iraq contracts.
Why do you think lobbying is one of the most productive jobs in Washington DC

Doing well compared to Nigeria but not doing well compared to private sector in the US

Ask any American who has had to call the IRS, visit Drivers license office or visit Social Security office and tell their experience. Its always vastly different from the private sector
But would we really say "Government" in general, or the FG?

Because for example, Lagos state runs some sectors perfectly well. That's Government too. I wouldn't know if corruption is rampant, but the services are very okay...Example was when I visited LASUTH. Transport is another example too

So why is the case different with the FG?

the major marketers bore the brunt of it. they took it back and blended it.

when you have a batch of fuel with kleg [too much of substance X /litre] you simply mix it with a much larger batch of fuel that is alright, until the volume of substance X per litre is acceptable.

if your fuel has 7% methanol - mix it with the an appropriate volume of 2% methanol fuel and it becomes 2% methanol

i am tired so the short answer - take 200,000 litres of that fuel - mix it with 10,00,000 litres of ok fuel - and it is all ok

that is what was done. no answer on whether NNPC repaid all the marketers who had to pump out the fuel from their stations, deliver to their depots and blend.

sai buhari and 0 consequences

until NNPC is broken up and sold to private owners, this nonsense will continue

everyone will just manage because it is govt
Anything the FG is managing should just be privatised. Corruption won't make us manage anything.

Do all Nigerians like Messi ? No ! Are there Nigerian footballers with National appeal ? Yes ! The target market of Pepsi should be Nigerians . Not Messi fans . So it will be good if the money given to Messi goes to that Nigerian player.
I understand what you are trying to say though . But do you realize that Pepsi has enough money to pay whatever the added cost of using Messi to the detriment of local models ? Just by using a Nigerian model and content creator , resources will flow into the industry and help boost the sector while the Ad budget of Pepsi won’t be that high .
Then exorbitantly charge them and move on.

If Pepsi can afford it, another person won't
obviously.

Because we want to promote local content, doesn't mean we should outrightly ban foreign ones.

I disagree . Let them use local content . The fact that most adverts are made abroad isn’t a good one for the country . Let these companies pay local models and content creators so that the money will flow within . Do you know the billions in dollars a lot of these companies use in ads ? If just 60 percent of that money goes to Nigerians , it will be good for our economy .
Nigerian youths should see this as an opportunity to start Ad agencies and build great companies . No be every time criticism.
A Pepsi advert with Messi will sell more than one with Burna Boy

Instead of banning Messi's own, make it more expensive. Its either they settle for Burna or pay higher. Either way, it favours you.

We have tried this path of banning and adopting local products. Yet, it didn't change much.

Culture › Re: Nigeria Bans Foreign Models & Voice-Over Artists In Advertisements by izzou(m): 6:22pm On Aug 30, 2022
Is this the best way to solve the issue?

Why not add more requirements and increase the fees for ads with foreign artist, voice overs and contents?

That way, you encourage clients to go local, and also make more revenue if they insist on foreign names

If you want a robust comparison of the 3 men, Tinubu will come out tops but then, his age which comes with its attendant health challenges is his undoing...

In the end, he would have lost either way. Tinubu measured his risk and picked what he thought would be the lesser of two evils.

Time will tell whether it is a decision that will pay off.
I would be shocked if he wins. I still don't believe he will.

I just find it funny that suddenly, we believe the idea of competence would change people's mindset.

In this Nigeria where millions are illiterate?

There are millions that are illiterate
There are millions that are very tribalistic
There are millions that are very religious

Then you'll just convince them with competency?

If you are cloaked in righteousness then rather than focusing on the belief systems of each member of the 20m Tinubu supporters and that of the 20m Obi supporters (none of whom is running for President) people should focus on the belief systems of the main protagonists who are the ones actually running for office. Any other thing is an agenda aimed at subtly maligning a whole tribe in order to besmirch the character of the candidate from that tribe.

What we know for a fact is that one candidate is married to someone from a different religion and included people from different states and tribes in his government while the other one had a government filled with people from the same state and religion and actually kicked people from other states out of his workforce.
If you are saying we shouldn't focus on the belief system of the candidates, why would one candidate select his vice based on his belief system?

Tinubu has never set us same religion in the Lagos he built.
Buhari, with all the Fulani agenda hung on him, has never ran with a same religion ticket.

It's only online I see people act like it doesn't matter, when in reality, there's enough bile between both religions.

Obi is just cashing in on APC's loophole, and yes, they have given him enough room to explore.

While there are people here who put their tribe first, there are people who put their religion first. Some people no longer believe in tradition and its rites because of their Bible. Those people would definitely vote the Nsukka 3rd class graduate.

In the core North, you cannot buy a land and build a church. They usually allocate lands at the outskirts, and all churches would be there. Those Christians would definitely vote him, irrespective of whether he's a Northerner or not.

I no dey defend Obi achievements, my doc. Nothing concern me with am.

I'm just saying while APC thought Obi was a spoiler for Atiku, they gave him free space to cash in. He will definitely spoil votes for them too.
