You're definitely a Man of God. My only headache with politicians and people in power is their inability to serve....Deliver the basic for your people. There's no how you would not want to build and assume control of your territory, as a politician. Even if you select based on merit, you still expect loyalty from them. Indirectly, its godfatherism. BlueRayDick: Me and u no dey their inner caucus meeting, even the party people here on nairaland are not privy to some of these guy's meetings where concessions are made and critical party decisions are made.
Aregbe has not scattered the party, he has only frustrated the ambition of the candidate he does not prefer. APC is still a very strong party in Osun State, Aregbe will definitely have his game plan. Let's wait and see. I didn't mean scattering the party. The relationship between his structure and the rest has been burnt. This can either make him, or mar him (likely the latter) |

So Tinubu handpicking Lagos state governor is about the party and not the man's quest to hold on to power for his own interests? Well, I think the two situations are different. Tinubu put Aregbe there. Na the finger wey feed am be that. Even if Aregbe wants to become Lord, no be to scatter am. |

By the way, LP are lowkey PDP Members. They're simply disguising and most of them gonna vote Atiku. Very true |

larride: If you look at it in some ways. Adeoti from Iwo is Aregbe preferred candidate,
The issue go back to 2014 when Aregbe was looking for 2nd term, made a lot of concessions to break Omisore group which included Isiaka Adeleke. Isiaka Adeleke decamped to APC with arrangement that if power goes back to Osun west, Isiaka will get the ticket. Isiaka was a former Gov of the state and the senator of Osun West then. Unfortunately Isiaka died in 2016 or so, Ademola Adeleke (The Gov elect) asked for APC ticket to replace his brother in the senate, Aregbe refused and pushed him out of the party.
Ademola Adeleke decamped to PDP and won the senate seat and the rest is history. Na wa. So what is going to be Aregbe's profit now with this loss? He has no spot in PDP. His party has lost control of the seat. So wetin him gain now? |

Oasis007: Oyetola was actually forced on Aregbe. He's never his choice to succeed him. Aregbe wanted his Successor to be picked from Osun West. He believed it's their turn, coz both Osun East and Central had served.
Oyinlola and Akande are from Osun Central and they both spent 11yrs in power. Aregbe is from Osun East, and he spent 8years. Guess what? Oyetola is from Osun Central as well.
Osun West felt cheated and decided to work against the Party. Though the plan was given the Ticket to Isiaka Adeleke but death took him. Ademola Adeleke demanded the Ticket but it wasn't given to him, hence he decamped to PDP. What zone are the Adeleke's from? Modified: So Adeleke is partially fulfilling Aregbe's plan. I get it now |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 5:28pm On Jul 17, 2022 |
larride: This is unfair to Oyetola. The single school uniform was a ill thought plan by Aregbe that generated alot of controversy. The people were clearly against it and it was right for Oyetola to reverse it.
Aregbe merged alot of schools together, merge Christian's and Muslim missionary schools together, merge schools from LG together and students had to trek or go long distance to their new school. Another ill informed plan.
Oyetola completed alot of roads that Aregbe started, his problem was he didn't go ahead to collect loan the same way Aregbe did for infrastructural development but instead chose to build with what the state generate and their allocation. He reversed the half payment of salaries that Aregbe started and didn't owe a single salary during his tenure. What he owed were arrears from Aregbe time.
Oyetola is a fine gentleman who refuses to invest in PR to market his work. This kind governor dey for this country? |

I guess he was irked by the fact that immediately his candidate lost the APC primary in Osun, his Alimosho people in Lagos turned against him and Mocked him claiming he doesn't even have the Alimosho structure again.
I guess he used this election to just show dem say even tho na Lagos be him original Base, he Don get solid Base too for Osun( Something Ambode lacked which was why “ o lule “ ) But looking at it objectively, did Oyetola lose largely because Aregbe didn't support him? |

patrickmuf: You guys have brought your rubbish football logic here...Why can't you guys be objective for once when analyzing things?
Aregbe messed up Osun so much so that it was always going to be difficult for his successor. The people were fed up and rightfully opted for a change...In 2012/2013 I was a youth corper in Osun and I saw first hand how clueless Aregbe is especially his education policies...I don't even want to talk about how he plunged the state into depts whilst not paying salaries or pension and when he pays, he pays 40% or thereabout...
Come the general elections, they'll queue up behind their own just the same way the East wil queue behind Obi...2023 is going to see each ethnic group queue behind their own...
When the campaigns starts, it will get worse and sadly so... Based on your logic, the NW would queue under Kwankwaso ba? Then the NE would queue under Atiku, abi? |
