Greatihex: I have been in a prison facility before when we went to deliver free medical care to the I mates, and I can tell you the truth, there is no way protesters could have gotten in that prison to release anyone.
In every prison there is always the prison police. Those guys are always heavily armed incase of any nonsense. They walls are always high.
In short, no need for long talk. Na arrangee something. Our politicians can do anything to get the attention shifted from its current state Firstly, it was a government affiliated bus that dropped off people that were attacking protesters..Now, young boys wearing shorts and dressed casually, armed with sticks and cutlass, climbs a prison wall and start releasing prisoners? I'm shocked anyone can believe this is possible. |

larride: But you somehow believe prisoners that escaped from prison will started granting “interviews” with strangers on the road while videoing them.
Nothing we no go see for this country. When I was little, my dad had a business around Kirikiri Maximum prison. I used to go with him sometimes, and I've seen how the inside looks like In my former place of work, a colleague of ours got missing for days. We later discovered he was arrested by the police for wandering at night and thrown into Badagry prison. Our boss sent some representatives to bail him, and that was how I entered A prison facility for the first time Larride, you are well informed and intelligent, but I can confidently tell you that it's highly impossible to just jump over the wall of a prison and start releasing people. There are armed men on the other side. There are armed men inside the facility. There are armed men moving about So suddenly, all their guns couldn't work, while some guys started catwalking over the fence? I never said I believed the interview..You can quote where I said it. But I am confidently sure that it's almost impossible for people to just wake up one morning and start releasing people from a facility Prison no be crèche |

Aunty Kemi telling us something. Lol.. Anybody who believes the protesters did that just wan deceive himself.. Prison no be one plot of land. Even as hardened as the criminals are there, they can't even come out. I was surprised to see a video of people walking on the fence. Walk on that fence and you'll be shot ASAP. It's obvious that was the work of a politician. |

It was in Lagos they said protesters used government bus to scatter protests, then claimed it was unarmed ENDSARS protesters that broke into cells and shot an officer. So shameless I guess the politician that planned this didn't have the patience to convey them in groups He quickly chartered a BRT bus |

donjazet: I swear down, one can't truly understand a situation like he who wears the shoe that pains.
Sometime ago when i watched the news and saw some people run down black lives matter protesters in America, I was like what kind of heartless barbarity is that??
But after spending 5 hours in traffic yesterday because of these fools who don't even know what the're protesting again, my perspective became very much clearer on how those people felt.
At this point, I am asking why we don't just take the win so far and chill and watch how things progress from here.
In America, after the death of George Floyd, millions of people all over the world, came out in support and solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. Trump didn't even pay close attention, he kept screaming law and order but at least he held dialogues with police Chiefs that led to slight reforms on police manhandling.
Before you knew it, the protests started getting derailed to other issues that had nothing to do with the original intent of the protest Good or bad as they might have been), People started defacing all revered monuments, started blocking highways and calling for a total abolishment of the police force. At that point, normal people lost interest and the zeal to still protest and 4 months later, you still have some people protesting for God knows what. The protests are thoroughly unrecognizable from how it started. Everyone is now tired of seeing all these protests in America now that have even turned violent in many cases and would rather the whole thing stopped for now.
We in Nigeria need to learn from that. The protests were very honorable to begin with, with a very simple message #END SARS. The international community has rallied behind us and the government has responded swiftly too. They have banned the unit and assured that the unit is now rendered defunct with reformation for it's members. We have to take this win and bide our time, now the protests are being hijacked with all sorts of agenda from different people. The protests are gradually progressing to riots, the protesters are now a nuisance to the average citizen on the road.
These protests have to end now. LET'S TAKE THE WIN AND BIDE OUR TIME. Else normal people will lose the zeal to continue to support us. I wish those guys could understand this The issue is frustrating now |

larride: What does the government seeks to gain by discrediting the movement?
1.End Sars, the government has disbanded the unit. 2. All ex SARS officer are currently in Abuja. There has been no SARS on the road since the IGP ordered all of them to report to Abuja. Lot of people have confirmed even on twitter that most SARS state office are currently moribund or taken over by the men of CID. 3. Judicial inquiry has started in different states for the victims of SARS abuse. 4. Just 2 days ago 37 officers were dismissed/demoted from the Police office. 5. The IGP said no member of the disbanded SARS will be enlisted to the new SWAT team.
So if the government has been responsive to the EndSars demand, what exactly do they stand to gain by discrediting the movement? Won’t that be counter productive? The protests have gone beyond EndSARS oh Even if they scrap the NPF now, those boys no go comot Decades of frustration have started to manifest. Very soon, Danfo drivers go block road because of extortion.. As long as there's no leader, anybody can champion his own cause |
