Ishilove: True freedom, not made in China comes at a sometimes steep price. I'm stuck in traffic too as I type this, inhaling noxious fumes, but I recognise these times are historical and we must endure for the sake of posterity. I was in traffic twice today; back to back and it's no longer funny I wholeheartedly support the protests, but I think it would be more effective if it's channelled to the right people Police stations Police HQ Government parastatals NASS building and their members houses Today wasn't funny abeg. A large group blocked a whole lane, and was showing cardboards to us in traffic |

I think the protests have a solid foundation now, and needs to be moved to another level While we are clamouring for EndSARS, other questions should be asked, other people should be called out The educated and enlightened ones should hijack this protests abeg. I'm tired of celebrities using it for photoshoot. But if you see the traffic I entered yesterday ehn, . I was so mad but when I got to the point of the protest, I felt happy again and there was this little hope I felt towards Nigeria I pray we see this change come to pass in our generation |

eph12: As far as Lagos is concerned, there's no need to continue the protest. Sanwolu has agreed to most demands and things are in motion for others. This was as at last night. If the protest continues today and into the weekend, the protesters may be biting more than they can chew. Is Sanwo-olu in charge of the Police Force? The highest any governor can do is agree. They can't do anything about it. |

Those guys protesting are doing it for us all, the least we can do is to support them if we can't join. Everyone in my office has been having a hard time commuting from their various homes to the office since Monday, yet we all are in full support of the movement.
My MD asked us to work from home today after we all agreed that the protest is what Nigeria needs at this time. This one come dey talk say ehn they should protatest and not block road....blah...blah black sheep It's through these protests that I found out that a large number of average Nigerians are very comfortable with how the country is Their papa no dey government Dem no dey benefit from the hardship But they are quick to oppose who is demanding for something better My advice: Just leave am. Whether it's the government or not, we can't say But I think the plan is this.. Provoke the protesters to engage in violence, and then it loses its virtue of peace, and then the protests would be banned But the issue now is that the protests have started gaining momentum. What is left is who will hijack it now... because definitely it would be hijacked. Either by the opposition, or Nigerians that are tired of Nigeria They now have fundings (a crucial need to fuel it) Sincerely bro, this may be one of the worst times for the APC. |

I did not advise anything out of the ordinary If any driver feels he can't meet up with rentals any week, just go and park the car... Personally, I think a lot of us here like to make decisions from our emotions. We are emotional about little issues, and we want people to understand us through emotions too... We are very emotional about how a rider talks to us, answers us, ask us to do anything, and we also want partners to understand us from the viewpoint of emotions....Life doesn't work that way I am not advising any driver to sleep in traffic. But if you know you can't meet up the rental because of traffic, just take the car to your partner and go and rest...Life is really that simple |

The reason the protests are on is exactly because of situations like this. There is zero trust. We don't trust the IG, the President, the governor. A40: SARS is just a tip of the iceberg. Our problems are hydra headed. Our leaders and too many people in leadership positions don't have basic dignity and human decency.
Even in life and death matters with clear video evidence see how they are still shamelessly lying. [bLASG lying for no reason at all to cover up for Nigeria Police. Se afise ni?
They can't even train their officers how to aim and fire. Just arm miscreants with gun. Cock weapon and inshallah You don't expect the government to say the truth, do you? If LASG had kept silence, it would be indirectly interpreted as admittance of guilt, and may lead to violence If they had said the truth, it would lead to violence too No disrespect to the dead, but that lie you see there, is part of the reason why we still have "peaceful protests" ongoing. SARS was disbanded, and the same officers have been integrated into other units of the Police Force Then a new tactical unit would be formed.. So maybe, we get to see the same officers, with new uniforms and names doing the same thing people protested for. After all, it's not SARS anymore. As much as the protests is tiring, it's funny how people are believing that the mission has been accomplished because the IG said so. Is this the first time SARS has been disbanded? I know that this protests would lead to something else...Make we just leave the protesters abeg |

BlueRayDick: Haba! Guy You really need to stop now.
Somebody talked about policemen profiling innocent citizens because of their hairstyle, clothing and general appearance....somehow you think the reasonable thing to do is to refer to pictures of police men who dressed irresponsibly carrying firearms like robbers is what you should use to make as a basis of argument..... Does it not occur to you that the reason why we are having this discuss is because the so called police officers are even dressed worse than those they are trying to correct with the bullets in their gun? I mean does it make sense for a SARS official who himself has a tattoo trying to shave off the deadlock of an upcoming artists they meet on the road?

DontBullshitMe: I'm just offering a different perspective to the discourse.
Because I don't think being badly dressed and being a good police officer are mutually exclusive unless you can prove it.
The pictures can still be re-uploaded. What I saw were SARS officers with dirty clothes and I don't think they are INCOMPETENT because of that. For all I care, they might just be coming from a gun duel with kidnappers from the forest.
Your response had emotions written all over it. You don't even know if I support appearance profiling or not, your blood was burning hot.
I asked a question. I did not posit anything.
Read calmly. Yeah, you're very right. It definitely has to be the bolded |

DontBullshitMe: The pictures of badly dressed SARS officers that were in circulation to further discredit SARS trended at some point.
Was that not appearance profiling too? Because those SARS officers might just be the most decent SARS officers in the Country. How does this example relate with what he said Someone said you shouldn't profile citizens by their dressing...You are saying we shouldn't profile policemen by their dressing? A policeman? Someone with a weapon and is supposed to be in charge of lives and properties is who we shouldn't profile by his dressing? May God have mercy on what we read here sometimes |
