simonjassy:Bro, we will just be going back and forth again I agree with you bro. Everything must be proven |
simonjassy:That's what I've been saying na Because you don't believe something does not mean it doesn't exist or work. That has been my point since |
thelastorca:Like you have doubts, so did I I don't believe in it. But I saw a living experience. If you were me, would you argue, or just let them be?? That's why I said everyone should just stick to whatever you believe. Because you no believe no mean say people never experience am |
hypernikao: You'll be shown on Sahara reporters, Daily times and NL front-page as a car jacker.... Nobody would even allow you explain anything. Don't try it abeg. It's better a car has NO REGISTRATION, than a fake one |
Skimpledawg:Many things cannot be explained oh. |
https://www.nairaland.com/5789553/chad-gives-nigeria-april-22 Larride, what do you think about this? I think Deby is now full of himself. Which one be deadline to withdraw troops and HE WONT PARTICIPATE IN OPERATIONS OUTSIDE HIS NATIONAL BORDER? |
Raumdeuter, let me just drop these two stories here. They are the experiences of two people I know...One is my uncle, the other is a colleague where I worked. I actually did not believe them sha, but it did happen to them. So whether I believe or not doesn't matter. It did work ************************************************** I have this uncle of mine. He's the richest in my extended family. He imports in one of the markets in Lagos. In fact, he's a known name in that market. A multimillionaire to be specific. This man is religious and so believes in tithing. To the extent that his sales girls must calculate his tithes from every day's sales and pay it in the bank that day. If they make any sale after they've paid, they will add it to the next day. He has a particular bank account for his tithes. Now me, I'm not a consistent tither. I pay when I want and if I want. But when I discuss with my uncle. He tells me "If you know where and what tithing has done and taken me to, you won't ask me to stop" So what should I do? Argue with him that it's a lie? It's his experience. It's his testimony. I don't believe in it doesn't change the fact that he saw something in it. Second story In my previous place of work, one of the secretaries was my friend. We talked and all that. So one day, we were discussing about spirituality, and I said I don't believe in Witchcraft ( truly o don't). S She laughed and told me I know nothing. She told me her story. She has only one child: a girl. She was barren for 17 years....17 good years. There was no form of healthcare they didn't try, but they could find nothing. They even tried surrogacy but it failed. Until one day, a relative called for her and started confessing of how she is the cause of her not giving birth. And pleaded for forgiveness. The next year, she gave birth. She had her only child at the age of 43. Showed me pics and everything So do I argue with her? Or ....... I didn't believe in Witchcraft, but here was someone it happened to. Like I said, because you don't believe in something doesn't make it false. Let everybody do what they feel works for them This life sometimes cannot be explained |
BlueRayDick:How many Nigerian billionaires have monopoly over their markets? Adenuga Otedola Maduka Chukwuma BUA group guy Which one is enjoying monopoly?... Let's leave that argument first ![]() So if Maduka, Dangote, Adenuga tells you they became rich because of God and giving, will you argue with them, or just let them be? |
raumdeuter:Bill gates is the richest man in the world(I think) but he doesn't believe in God. Religious billionaires all over the world cannot smell his back In Nigeria, Dangote is the richest man. He is a Muslim. In fact, the billionaires in Nigeria (almost all) have some form of religion. They believe in a "God". They pray and give alms, probably tithe too. Yet no Atheist billionaire in Nigeria can smell their back So would I say our billionaires are stupid and confused for practicing religion? Or do I just conclude that whatever they do works for them, and I should just find and accept whatever works for me? |
raumdeuter:No evidence to you? Okay No evidence to them? Wrong They believe it happened to them, and that's their own beliefs and cup of tea Like I said, because you don't believe in something doesn't mean it's fault. And it's funny when I see people argue with others over their own experiences I don't believe in juju. Never seen it, never experienced it. But if someone tells me his life story concerning juju, I don't argue. Because I don't believe in it, doesn't entirely make it false. That's my point |
Singapore1:Ohh. Didn't know that So it must be very pathetic that someone as educated as that, at such a height, believes that tithing got her to where she is |
raumdeuter:But if the first class student says it was prayers that aided him to make 4.5 CGPA, why do I have to dispute that? Is it every body that study hard that makes first class? Is it everyone that works hard that is a millionaire, talk more a billionaire? There are so many atheist billionaires, and there are so many religious billionaires. It's what is working for them.. And yes, if people give me money, I'll definitely become rich. The argument is not whether it makes the pastor rich or not. The argument is why they believe so |
raumdeuter:And I know billionaires that attribute their success to God Dangote, Maduka, and a lot of others attend churches and mosques, and they believe whatever works for them. So we can agree that they all are confused, and don't know what works for them? There are people who believe that when they give alms, they receive it back. Does that mean they are being defrauded? Or that they are stupid and confused? Yes, I agree that some pastors are fake. At least this Covid-19 is revealing that. But because you don't believe in something doesn't make it false People pay millions as tithes. And to them, it's what's elevating them. You and I don't know them better than they know themselves. |
raumdeuter: Raumdeuter, you're far too smart to bring such comparisons The question you should ask is Is this supposed falsehood working for them? If yes, how is that our headache? People like Ibukun Awosika, and very enlightened Nigerians go to these pastors, worship on their churches, pay tithes and tell you it works. To them, they attribute their success and prosperity to their tithe paying and obedience to their "GOD" How is this related to what Yahoo boys do? |
Ishilove: Lockdown |
Ishilove:I will remind you of this again... You see that your hairy nyash? I must see am |

airmark:Airmark, my hand no dey |
thelastorca:That, cannot be proven |

Ishilove:I wonder if that lady can actually sit down. People don't feel confident in their bodies anymore. Someone will spend millions on a surgery just to get validations from men? Without even thinking of the adverse effects I feel for her. She had to learn by experience Meanwhile, pictures of your pancake buttocks please ![]() Don't make me beg,...Abeg |
This news has been having rounds of attention lately, and no agency has picked it up The lady sef should file a lawsuit against the Slay queened doctor. IG and Twitter no be court |
diggz:I didn't even want to quote him on that Ibime lives in the abroad, so it's possible he isn't aware. RCCG, Winners, DLCF and a good number of churches were already doing that decades before now |
It's only in Nigeria that the people will queue under sun to vote Buhari and Jonathan, then come back to ask for good roads and hospitals from their churches ![]() Every tithe preaching pastor is a thief? Let me agree with that. Did they force Nigerians to pay tithes? I am a Christian and Adeboye, Oyedepo, Oyalhilome, and all of them have never eaten my #1. So how are they thieves? If their members feel they need to pay them for whatever reason, how is that the problem of the country? Some say their members are poor and they are living large....Maybe you should attend a service in Ota or Oregun, and see the calibre of people paying millions as tithes. Whether these men are dubious or not, successful people believe them and pay their tithes. The strength we use to label pastors as fraudsters and thrives, if channeled to your LGA chairman, we will have basic amenities in abundance Our pastors and Imams are not our problem. It's the useless people we will vote in 2023 that will be the problem again |
