Hello nairalanders...

I don't know if this is the right place but I am scared and depressed...A lot of stuff and changes have been happening recently in my office .i have seen my colleagues playing office politics and how aggressive the result came out ....now someone just played that politics with me and i heard i have been transferred to the post of a supervisor....oh lawwd, this is my first leadership role...i am scared,i am way to friendly too open,a talkative, these stuff have been used against me in the past..i have read 48 laws of power and i am finding it hard to use those rules...people i have trusted at work do their stuff behind me without uttering a word,i start seeing results and i am get caught in the middle of nowhere.

How do i cope with this office politics, how do you guys working in corporate organisation cope without loosing friends or making foes??
Your purpose on earth is not to keep and make friends.

lt is not too late to vammoose, although securing western visas to the western world is very hard now especially as a Nigerian applying from Nigeria, you have options of the Australian / Canadian skilled workers program or via the US, Germany or Finland via students visa but all that I mentioned requires owobe, ego, kudi or money, I don't think or see Nigeria changing with the current set of wicked cabals, rogues, gangstas ruling that country, it is up to you to leave or remain but I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel in Nigeria, Nigeria is a failed state after the order of Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, South Sudan, Libya and Somalia, Nigeria is beyond redemption, that has been my position for years, but zombies and patriotic citizens have called me names on here but I don't really care, let them continue calling me names and enjoy all the killings, kidnapping, cultism, ritualism, robbery, senseless killings, hunger etc going on in Nigeria, every indices of a failed state is in Nigeria, it is the headquarters of extreme poverty in the world, 6th most miserable country on earth and also a country where 21 states has been declared unsafe for western visitors, but again zombies and patriotic citizens will disagree with me, let them enjoy the country, QED
To leave is the goal

Nothing makes any sense here. Hope is dwindling every day by day

Good evening brethren.

We requested a ride on Uber this morning but the driver's profile did not have his car license plate details. We cancelled immediately.

Although we tried to contact Uber, there wasn't an option to click to report such an incident.

This evening, we have been able to get the 400 naira cancellation fee reversed.

I don't understand how a driver can operate on Uber without license plate details on his profile. Especially when riders can report when the plate number of the car that arrives is different from the one on the driver's profile.

Can anyone explain what happened this morning? I think it is an issue of rider security.
Good evening ma

I think it should be a glitch in the app. A driver does not have any control over what you see on your riders app(except his phone details). And besides, he can't even come online without a car attached

Most likely it's an app issue.

You can't let it out however you should be willing to face the consequences of his actions, all past, present and future actions. The wife is complicit. That rape is bigger than her marriage.

It is situations like this that encourages men and women to continue. Another man will do such, beg for forgiveness and expects to be forgiven.
As a wife, can you do it?

Lots of our "wonderful mothers" of the past covered such. Women are still covering it till today. I will definitely let her family know, what they choose to do with him is up to them, because I really won't have any use for him again.

Lol... the thing is, that can never be a secret, it will get out someday and it will be more shameful and deadly.

I understand your view, but to me Justice must prevail. However, I won't be outing my man just like that, it will be on agreement. I will compel him to do it (confessing to the child's parents) Now whatever they do with the confession is left to them. After that we can seek ways to help him because he is obviously sick to have done that.

Honestly covering up isn't safe, It does more damage than good. Although I don't pray to experience such sha.
I pray so oh

God, save your children from sick husbands and wives

It's really hard if it's a family member, but the point is, we have to develop more tick skin and subdue emotion, so has to do the right thing.
Way back in school, I heard the story of a chief gudge in PH, who prosecuted her husband and sent him to jail for impregnating their tenage house maid. The society call her horrible names, but I think she did the right thing.

So many families here are guilty of this crime.

Sometimes, when your house help is been wicked to your children, pay attention to her, most times, she's been abused by your husband.
But do you think you can do it?

I know people can

With Bolt's (Nigeria) poor management structure, i wonder why they still charge drivers 15% commission for actually doing what?

No wonder policemen now readily scrutinize your papers, in the past once you tell the police that you are a uber/bolt driver, they simply let you pass.
I thought I was the only one that noticed this

Even with my former partner's tinted Camry, all I need to say was "uber" and they'll let me go, unless my rider looks suspicious.

The other time around 1am, I was coming from Allen with a rider. Got to Billingsway and police stopped me.
I greeted him and told him its uber and I'm on my way to the island.

Na so them say make I park. Them check all my papers, check VIN, check trunk...Na so the rider para for them(He works at the police headquarters in Abuja). Dem come beg us, free me grin
