Jazzlite: A bread seller, Marian Folarin, on Thursday told a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan that it was her lover that impregnated her and not her husband, Kayode Folarin.
The mother-of-four in her original petition to the court accused her husband of “gross irresponsibility and incompetence” in managing the home.
She said, “My lord, hunger, thirst and wretchedness had been the order of the day with me in Kayode’s house in the last 20 years I lived with him.
“Kayode and I earlier had a mutual agreement not to have more than four children and he did everything not to violate that agreement.
“But he had been unable to cater for me and the children, beside the constant beating which I receive from him.
“I stopped Kayode from having sex with me since 2007 so as not to get pregnant. However, as I speak now, I have been impregnated by my lover, Ololade, a mechanic at Gate area of Ibadan.
“I pray this honourable court to order Kayode to stop molesting and harassing me in the neighbourhood because I am no longer interested in the marriage; I have found new love.”
The respondent denied all allegations preferred against him, saying he still loves his wife.
He said, “Marian is a pathological liar because I always give her my love and care and people can bear me witness.
“It is only unfortunate that she is being misguided somewhere. My lord, I want to confirm to you that I impregnated Marian and not any mechanic.
“Marian was three months pregnant before she left my house.”
Marian’s 14-year-old daughter, in her testimony, told the court that her father was a caring man who did everything possible to satisfy her mother.
She said, “I think my mother is just ungrateful.”
The President of the court, Ademola Odunade, after deliberating on the matter, ordered a court official to take Marian for pregnancy test to ascertain the age of the pregnancy.
He also ordered that her mechanic lover should appear in court, and adjourned the case until May 23 for hearing.

The distraught man revealed that he gave his son N136,000 for school and his younger sister N95,000 as the boy demanded an extra N25,000 from him - which he promised to give him by month end. ChangeIsCostant: After the sex tape which went viral involving a Ghanaian headmaster and a female student, comes another shocker but this time around in South Africa. The Principal of Reiger Park High school named Gregory Finch has got himself trending online after being accused of sleeping with school students and some teachers and also taking videos of them.
One of his alleged sex victim took to Facebook to blast the man for sleeping with them as she rained curses on him.
Photos of the man and his victims have been shared online to corroborate the story.
Last week, video of a Nigerian lady proposing to her man at ICM, Lagos, went viral. Another story even came out the next day from a lady claiming to be the lady's friend, saying the man rejected the proposal because he is a married man.
Fast forward to yesterday, there was another viral video, showing a woman proposing to a man somewhere in Lagos.

CastedDude: A 12-Year old identified as Ojonugwa was reportedly set ablaze by criminals in Ogugu, Olamaboro Local Government Area of the Kogi State because of a mobile phone. According to reports, the young boy knew the criminals who stole the phone and for the fear of testifying against them, they grabbed the boy, rode on their motorcycle to a distant place, dropped the boy, asked him to lie flat and cover his eyes.
The boy obliged, the three thieves drew gasoline from their motorcycle poured on Ojonugwa and lit him up just to kill the evidence.
It was gathered that Ojonugwa then dragged himself and dived into a drum of water after the assailants thought it was the end for him and abandoned him.
Kogi state Chief of Staff, Mr. Edward Onoja paid the young boy a visit in the hospital to show support.
Ojonugwa who has been transferred from a hospital in Lokoja to Abuja - is been handled by team of foreign and indigenous doctors and his situation is said to be improving fast...
