Current exchange rate is 1AED to 133-135NGN - this changes flunctuates. Simply go to

https://dubai.dubizzle.com/classified/

Once u see anything which you would like to buy, make the exchange rate conversion, then I will tell you cost of gas + cost of item and we go from there.

For the first 5 customers, I am ready to ship for free.

Shipment takes maximum of 3-5 days to get to lagos.

Lies from the pit of hell. Last time they claimed something similar happened and posted a video. It was more or less of a poorly scripted drama in which old men who claimed to be in danger could be seen bringing out their phones to record the “attack” and smiling while feigning a scamper for safety.

Naija is built on lies.

Good afternoon Ladies/Gents,

I currently reside in the UAE and recently while trying to get some gym equipments for my home gym (the gyms were closed as per lockdown policies) i found good offers on dubizzle.com for used equipments . shocked shocked

Same equipment that was going for 2000DHS (220k Naira) on amazon was sold to me by a ghanaian brother i met on dubizzle for 850dhs(around 90k) and i got to make a new friend also grin

I browsed through the listings and i saw alot of juicy offers (no thanks to this covid19) for iPhones, laptops, washing machines, fridges etc. - People are having to dispose off unnecessary gadgets in order to raise cash.

So i have decided to offer this service to fellow nigerians. I Just need you to send me the URL of the item you want, the phone number of the seller and your own whatsapp number. I will then meet up with the seller and send you pictures and my opinion on the item. If you like it i will proceed to buy it and ship to you.

Out of my own goodwill and a way of getting the game started, The first 5 customers to use my service will only have to pay the cost of the item + the cost of shipping the item to nigeria.

Also, To gain trust, i don't mind depositing the cost of each individual's item into an escrow account (If there is anything like that) Or Nairaland Head Honcho @seun's Account in the course of our business.

It isn't that different overseas.. Just that they have more course work in terms of practical classes and much more streamlined course content. You can't do a broad CS in most Universities overseas. It has to be a key area, Web development, Multimedia, Information systems or of recent cyber security or security systems. This gives you a much more narrow range in terms of expertise instead of doing everything from Fortran to Laplace transforms.

CS is extremely wide and the way we teach in Nigeria is just where the trouble is . It needs to be unbundled to individual course content before students can appreciate it better. I redid a course last year which was targeted at 1st year students of computer science in the UK and difference in what i learnt was way advanced and useful than all i did in 100level to 200level here. In Nigeria we were bogged down with Plant biology, Physics and chemistry and i did only 2 CS courses in 100level here which was grossly inadequate.

Most of what i know now were leveraging what was taught and going further to seek more but you can't discard the basis it gives you. There is a clarity of purpose when you really studied CS. Why we think someone learning programming is much more better is because we don't use IT that deep. If you worked on embedded systems and you start understanding how low level machines react to every bit of code you wouldn't discard your understanding of Machine Language you learnt in CS and this can apply to everything from arrays to pointers.

You are so on point my chief. Stay blessed.

Absolute bullshit

You can learn whatever outside the four walls of the classrooms but a CS degree is far beyond just writing codes that this self taught courses gives you. I can bet a lot of all these so called "Software engineers" don't even know what data structures are which is the basic building block for all programming languages. I still have to sometimes reference my 2nd year text books on primary keys in projects. Now imagine someone who never even glossed through it.

That things have been abstracted to the point that you can drag and drop doesn't make you more knowledgeable than someone who understands the inner workings of the system. I would take a CS graduate with a few years of experience programming than a so called " established self thought programmer". In the long run the difference is extremely clear. The western world made the mistake in the early 2000s trying to outsource software development work to Indians who self taught and didn't go to traditional schools. When the quality of work dropped and the turn around time in terms of what jobs were completed and the errors they had to fix after. No one told them before they started withdrawing such critical aspects of the Software dev cycle from their hands and looking at home made CS graduates.

The same issues happens in the GIS field with people who just learnt how to use QGIS on Udemy believing because they can draw maps they are better than someone who studied the basics of stastiscal analysis for years before laying hands on the tool itself. What most of these courses don't teach you is why are you doing the things you are doing. They only show you how. That's a big gap of knowledge that still needs to be covered for you to be fully certified as a knowledgeable person in your field which sadly is something most self taught won't dabble into to learn more about.

The question is would you give the Civil engineer who understands concrete and sand ratio, soil analysis the job of building an important bridge in your city or give the job to someone who learnt over YouTube that if you are building a bridge you just have to add 50% cement and 50% sand to the beam to make a bridge without considering that each environment has their own peculiarities?

I beg to differ, i am computer science graduate my
And I think the university education system in Nigerian has a way of numbing down the minds of aspiring computer scientists with just theory upon theory and little to no practical.

What separates the self taught guys how ever is that they are mostly practical and learn by doing as opposed to just cramming stuff.

I didn’t study abroad so I wouldn’t know how it is over there but from my own experience of computer science I’d say NIGERIAn education system doesn’t do much justice to the field in terms of what u gain after 4 years in the university.

Greetings Sir !

Please recommend a user-friendly online platform where I can learn Python for free.

I used codecademy but the free version is limited to only the intro and basics.

PS: I am presently doing my NYSC and eagerly want to learn programming.

Regards.

Don’t use books or courses that teach u just basics such as computing arithmetic operation using python etc. they are a waste of time and you might get bored quickly or have a false confidence in your abilities.

I Been there also, better to start learning with a hands-on approach where u solve actual problems while learning.

Use this website to learn the basics: tutorialspoint.com

As for real python coding, use : ‘automate the boring stuff’ - just google it.

And remember, once u start, you don’t stop(you learn new things always), coding is for life not only a temporary means of putting food on your table.

Metasploit is a framework for penetration testing even the biggest experts in cyber security use and it takes great skill to use which a script kiddie lacks.
Personally i have above average skill in programming (python, C, C++), Linux OS and the command line, add that to a bachelor's degree in software engineering and a CEH version 10 certification from EC council you will agree with me am way more than a script kiddie, i write scripts for sport.
Empty clout chaser, you're in the wrong place.

Script kiddie check list:
- defining metasploit for no reason - check
- bragging about knowing abc languages when we both you have never written an exploit in any of those languages before - check
- bragging about CEH (a course that teaches how to use ready made tools, hence making u a script kiddie) - Big flag
- calling me a clout chaser when u replied my one liner with a whole wall of text - makes u a kid.

Enjoy your day lmao

Babe you just described me. I shock when I saw the title of this post until I read that y’all are still in school.

I used to be lovey with my girl whilst still paying her bills back in school also, all the lovey shit all lasted a whole year and ended up setting back my hustle (I work in IT, you have keep up with the times, technology grows faster than you can imagine).

I still pay her bills (she also lives in my lekki apartment while I work abroad) but I hardly call. She’s always doubting my love for her but I love her whole heartedly just that it’s hard for young partners to find a balance between hustle and relationship.

I’m also in my mid twenties and trying to improve. Our relationship is also 3years old.

While I got my bad boy side also, I won’t be footing bills of a girl I don’t love and this applies to all guys. 10k bi weekly isn’t a lot but paying your rent is a thing guys do only for girls they got in mind. Your man loves you babe ❤️

150k is more than enough.....

Since u are not putting gate, and it's just the front, u will need just 60 blocks total for a 100 feet for a roll, then u will multiply 60 by 8.. That's 8 coach... That's 67, 200, that's even 9 inch, at 140 per one,

Then u will get 12 bags of cements at 2200 per bag, this gives u 26,400.

Two trip of sand, 5k, or 8k per one depending on your location, that's 10k or 16k,

Your neighbors already have water, buy host of 2k and connect, workmanship should be more than 20k, then stones for the foundation, one trip which goes around 10k to 12k..
Total... Around 135k..... Is even more than enough, and it's roughly a 3 day job

Sorry where are they selling cement at 2200 per bag?
