Religion / Re: Tithe: How Would You React To This Picture? by Jacobmanny(m): 8:46pm On Nov 28, 2021
The energy on this tithe issue is just crazy sometimes. I believe everyone budgets his or her finance, so why should one be judged if he/she refuses to rechannel his or her resources for another purpose like charity?
A small formula I learnt years ago from a Wiseman
- 20% savings
- 10% Tithe
- 10% Charity
- you live off the remainder.
If i come across someone in this situation and I have exhausted the money designed for charity, then I walk pass and pray someone with the resources help them out but never giving out my tithe.
I might consider making sacrifices from the remaining money I live off but this emotional blackmail centered on my tithe money will never get to me.

Celebrities / Re: M.I Vs Vector: Jesse Jagz Tweets For The First Time In Months by Jacobmanny(m): 12:27pm On Oct 12, 2019
markdonpuzo:

Is Jagz the only musician that smokes. What about Wizkid, Burna Boy e.t.c. Jagz best work so far was when he was using marijuana more. Moreover that was also when he made more money from music. His return to Choc ended his reign.

Vector never even made claims to helping people, it's M.I that claimed to put people on. I agree M.I is the most successful rapper in Nigeria.
With no doubt No, these guys do but then with limit. Jagz already was a casualty in waiting of a rehab when he joined Chocs and then his brother did what he could do for him. But once you are a rehab junky, the journey gets rough. But still do a thorough check and you will find that Jesse did crazy good with Chocs..
Celebrities / Re: M.I Vs Vector: Jesse Jagz Tweets For The First Time In Months by Jacobmanny(m): 11:37am On Oct 12, 2019
markdonpuzo:
The biggest mistake Jagz made was returning to Choc city. Ever since then my rating for him reduced and his worth evaporated.

Charity begins at home. If M.I couldn't help his biological brother then all his bragging of helping other rappers become bankable is nothing but cheap talk!
very poor assumption. Jesse smoked himself out of limelight. You dont blame MI for Jags personal problem. The fact that Vector is a charity organization doesnt make everybody one. MI is success bruh.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Accept This Job Offer Or Continue Job Hunting??? by Jacobmanny(m): 2:49pm On Oct 02, 2019
I'd advice you take the job. The offer looks like some form of slavery but then the bigger picture is that you gain some working experience and build your profile for bigger opportunities

Education / Success Tips For 'new' Undergraduate by Jacobmanny(m): 12:18am On Feb 08, 2019
After going through lot of experiences and reviewing others through out my years in the higher institution and after, i have come to accept the fact that the act of psychology plays a major role to how successful life eventually turns out for you. A saying goes that an ill guided mind is destined for error so my focus is to give a few tips on the ruling mindset being sold to every newly admitted candidate into the higher institution and hope that others can also add a few to help these guys become the best they can be.
1. "A" is for God.
Never settle for mediocrity, people will come with theories saying you cant get such grades because bla bla bla... Once you create a room in you mind unconsciously to these thoughts without fighting them then you naturally begin to settle for failure.
2. Nobody has ever gotten first class in your department.
Mediocres derive joy in telling you how that the last person to get a first class in your department was in 1952 but then you must ask yourself the right questions like why cant i be the diffence?, Is this enough reason not to get a first class?. You must learn to defeat such mindset with an equal or superior energy.
3. A lecturer not good enough.
No doubt, you will encounter such why because alot of us years back went with higher expectation to learn everything we needed to know about our passion/interest from them but by experience come to realize that no lecturer is a custodian of knowledge and then they are only there to guide you express you passion. So you must go with an inquisitive mind and the desire to push yourself for more knowlege outside what your lecturer gives you.
And finally you are not in higher institution just for books, that doesnt mean you shouldnt read, but play also, grab every opportunity that comes your way, create yourself, socialize, meet people, do business and grow your networks, pray because these are things that will sustain you after school. Feel free to add guys and question also will be entertained.

You are enough evidence to that so the question wasnt necessary anymore
Religion / Was The Garden Of Eden Suppose To Be The Ideal For Mankind? by Jacobmanny(m): 12:27am On Nov 25, 2018
No man has the autonomy to knowledge or spiritual things and i also believe revelation to the things of the Spirit are given hence which makes it progressive. Here is a question from the meditations of my heart: Was the garden of eden suppose to be the ideal for mankind? Lets learn from different perspective.

Let them use it for a couple of years, and if it does not kill them like a bunch of flies, then can then start selling it to Africans.

The last time they gave us something like this, they called it Peugeot J5. We are yet to fully get the statistics of how many Nigerians that flying coffin called J5 killed.

NYSC / Re: Should NYSC Be Reformed Or Scraped? See Twitter Poll Result by Jacobmanny(m): 11:52am On Oct 01, 2018
Not sure reformation will do it any good because at the end of the day everyone take part it just to earn the little peanut given for a whole year. I am of the opinion that it should be scrapped out while more attention(reform) be given to I.T(Industrial Training). This should help every student get hands on experience in relating theory with practical from whatever field of study before leaving school and also earn a job placement from what he knows and not just connections

Please loud the volume o!!!!

They've all been brainwashed. Nigerians are truly backward and blinded! Common 100k! The people arguing this didn't even read how he'll actualise it. They're just barking that they don't want 100k, they want their 25k! Shuu!

I understand that PDP and APC have done a lot of damages but that doesn't mean you should now pack Sowore with that now. Nigerians, try something fresh for once!!! We're kukuma at rock bottom, we can't go lower than this....

Nigerians, what are you so scared of sef? You'll miss the works of Buhari or what? The man doesn't even do anything, doesn't make policies, doesn't change nothing. lol he only travels for check ups.

On the other hand, Sowore has young professionals who are ready to work for the people and actually do their jobs.
I wish you guys understand the diffence between paper work and its application. No government assume office without an agenda but just to fail. Calling everyone myopic because only you guys (pro sowore team) understand and see the possibility of a desired nigeria everyone is missing out on with a sowore victory is also a sign of ignorance. 100k as a minimum wage is possible truly but why pay 100k if you can strengthen our currency value and increase the productive capacities of our systems to serve the average citizen better? You just think with more money then comes less hardship?
I wish you guys can do a more reality check on cabals and how to easily get a policy passed for the benefit of the average citizen too since all previous administration are clueless before sowore comes to take over.
Dont also think i then mean we should settle with what we have but if you are proposing a way forward through sowore then do a better job by showing us the feasibility of these so called promises or agenda(s) and not just empty words like the current crop of people

stagger:
For me, the minimum wage is not the problem. The issue is how unproductive the civil service has been over the years. Go to a typical civil service office. You see 1 person typing stuff on a computer, one person shuffling papers, one person toasting bread for sale, and 6 persons doing nothing but gisting with occasional glances at the office clock, hoping it will get to 4pm fast.

Now are these the people we will pay N100,000 to, when all over the world, small businesses are constituting the greatest employers of labour?

What country can make progress with such a structure? This structure must be fixed first before we now know what to pay the productive ones who will be left.
but really. I am also of the school of thought that money isnt really our problem as a country but lack of productivity. The more money we get and without productivity in these systems the higher the rate of poverty. We need restructuring in our civil system

Story story, storrryyyy!

This is why I am not particularly keen on voting the so called members of the younger generation who want to lead, most of them have little or no experience and don't even bother to do their research well.

You just lost my vote Mr. Sowore undecided
please, dont come about experience as a reason not to vote a young aspirant. How many of the current political office holder were experienced before getting the seat of power? The longevity of years lived isnt enough yardstick to measure ones experiencial knowledge. Those with years of experience has ended up disharmonising the country through religious propaganda and other means to feed their bellies. I aint blindly pro youth either, but we should judge by mere headlines

The governor is no longer popular. Mama taraba took her campaign to takum his home town and the crowd that trooped out to receive her made him loose appetite especially when the day before she came, he held a rally and so many people refused to honour it so.much so he was almost seated alone with his wife on the high table section .

The day before the bye election he was in takum and shared millions of naira as he bought votes and then he hired these thugs to ensure he got what he paid for.

Here are pictures of mama taraba in takum the governors home town as she came for her rally
An easy way to sell a lie to people. You could get picture evidence for Mama Aisha to backup your facts but didnt use the same to back up the governor sitting alone alongside his wife at the pavillion. Anyways i aint all crazy about party politics because the higest bidder alway win which in turn has robbed us of credible leaders across Nigeria but you can do better by not misleading people with wrong info to gain some likes on nairaland
Politics / Re: Nigerians Cannot Afford Mistake Of The Past In 2019 by Jacobmanny(m): 10:25pm On Jul 14, 2018
The idea of being inexperience for a political position as many claim to be a reason to disquality some of these candidates viable for the presidential position is myopic to reasoning. Most of our political figures(god) we uphold started well inexperienced but we play ignorance to their early days in the system as if they were born experienced into the game. I am no totally a pro youthful candidate because experience is needed to operate in this ill infested system. 'Experience' yes not by the yards stick generally upheld by people being how long you have been able to survive in the system without tangible impact to the people of even your local government but your ability to input/contribute positively even when you arent the figure head. Most of these guys mentioned are just survivors to my opinion...Truly we need restructuring, security, infrastructures, and alot other things. Buhari doesnt seem to deliver that. Can Makarfi or Atiku?? My conclusion is that politics is too a lucrative business so it robs us of genuine leaders

This wasnt secondary school though..It was my in primary school days. Didnt know that watching too much of indian movies wasnt going to help my fighting skills but i picked this technique for this moment. This older lady happen to be troubling my life as each day passed by so i planned, watched and learned how to deliver this new trick. The first move was to remove my shirt, push her and if she dares push me back then i unleash. The d day was here.. I was bold enough to block her MYSELf... She wasnt interested in d fight so I pushed her, removed my shirt and the next i recieved was a big stick at my back. Cried home feeling embarrased in front of the friends i wanted to prove my tactics. Learnt never to fight without a shirt on.
