Okay i see alot of you here making posts and then putting a link to your website or blog for more juicy details for the visitors.

First of all what is a backlink? A backlink is a link from your website on another website referring back to your website, you understand? Backlink goes a long way in driving traffic to your blog and the no of hits your backlinks has the better your chances of having a better index and SEO results thereby increasing traffic and of course more money to your blog. But have you ever sat down to think of what constitutes a good backlink and why it's favoring others and not favoring you? Well here is why:

1.) When creating a back link make sure it's about something really interesting and really catchy.

2.) Let your url contain keywords that actually refers to the topic being searched for.

3.) drop your back links with quite a reasonable amount of information if not all information thats actually contained your website, don't just write:

for more visit : www.latestnews.com/buhari-dances-shoki

nope this just definitely going to get you the desired traffic for just that one post from novices who don't know the strategy bloggers use to drive traffic to their blogs, cause no experienced web surfer is ever going to click on that link as he obviously knows your just trying to pull traffic to your blog.

instead drop all the information about the post then refer back to website via a backlink for more or other juicy details. With this the web surfer is sure to know that yes you have more contents on your blog if he visits it.

take a cue from chizzyblog, viviangist etc notice how they make posts full juicy posts about a story and then make referrals back to their websites via backlinks indicating more juicy contents if visited...

1.) Depression

I don't usually frequent this section and my post is not to incite disunity or create tension but I just have to ask some very salient questions.
Question 1- Why do we have only a Muslim subsection here?Thought this is a Religious section and every religion should be given equal opportunity and treatment.Why the preferential treatment.
This to me is also aiding in deepening of the religious divide in this Country.
Islam having a seperate section has a far reaching negative effects on many.
This section of Nairaland should preach and be a symbol of peace,equality and unity.
This religious divide in this section is not a healthy one.

If Islam can have a subsection,then I also advocate for a subsection for Traditional African Religion!

Note- I'm in no way against Islam,I have so many Muslim friends even though I'm a Christian.I'm only been logical.
