FxMasterz: Who is a Christian to you? Someone who goes to church and bears a Christian name?
Lol. We all know who a Christian is. Everyone claims to be one, including you. But we don't see anything that depicts the christianity. I don't know you or how you behave. So I can't say whether u r a Christian or not. In the same vein, u don't know many other folks that has had mishaps befallen on them, whether they are christians or not, but u r very sure they aren't christians. Isn't that hypocrisy?
If any body (an adult or a child) is chocking the 1st thing that should be administered is water … clean water
Is this the 1st time the four years old boy is eating meat
Meat has never killed anyone in a civilized country
What is this one saying? Even something as small as tom tom candy can choke a grown man. At least try and do some research before commenting on what you know nothing about
FxMasterz: If you walk with God and obey divine instructions, you don't need to pray for safety. You wouldn't even be there when calamity happens in a location you frequent. Only those who have no close relationship with God pray for safety. Obedience is key here. Not prayer. The same applies to good health. Have the right lifestyle and leave the rest to God. As for wealth, God would give you if it would not breed pride in your life and make you an oppressor of men. God is actually more concerned about what you do to men more than what you do to God.
The bottomline is to walk with God, obey instructions (even if the instruction looks absurd) and live righteously. Your life then becomes God's responsibility. Pray only for the sake of fellowship, not because you have a need.
So calamity, sickness etc does not befall christians, right? Okay So let guess,… U r a the only Christian that walks with Yahweh (and thus without any calamity etc) , and the other approximately 100m other Christians that are befallen by calamity don't walk with Yahweh?
MaxInDHouse: First of all you don't believe (trust) in my God so it's impossible for you to pray neither expect anything from my God in whom you do not trust! Hebrews 11:6
The greatest of all believers in my God is Jesus of Nazareth this is how he prayed for safety with certainty:
“Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.” Luke 23:46
He prayed with strong faith and he was heard {Hebrews 5:7} as my God brought him back to life the third day! Act 10:40
That's the safest way ever!
Ogbeni, I said 'if'. I assume you know what that means
MaxInDHouse: Calling on you means the caller needs you but that doesn't mean you must respond the way everyone expected, your system of response largely depends on what you know the caller needs which may not be the way most people watching expected.
So if I pray for safety, how does your God grant me the wish
petra1: Pastor Chris was like a lone voice 4 years ago saying that wearing face mask and social distance was not based on science. A lot of people especially Nigerians insulted him saying he wasn't a scientist nor a doctor but he kept saying " I know what I'm talking about . I did my research . It appeared as if Christ Embassy Church memebers were crazy since it was the only church that didnt wear mask those days
Dr Faucci who made the whole world wear mask has finally confessed that the mask they forced people to wear and the social distancing they made us do was not Science
Please where did Fauci agree that masks are irrelevant? Yes he didn't wear his mask there. Does it mean masks are useless? As a physician who uses masks and know how useful they are, I'm abhorred. I just wasted 10 minutes of my life watching a video that is in opposite to what you said. Thanks for letting me know you are just another Pastor Chris stooge bent on deception
FxMasterz: God does not do what man can do. If the matter is within your means, like in this case, making concerted efforts to douse the fire while awaiting the arrival of the fire service, God would not get involved. He doesn't like people who are lazy and who can not use the senses He gave them. God would involve Himself if the matter is beyond you. That means you've tried your best to no avail. Call upon God and He'll intervene.
For example, before raising Lazarus, Jesus said to the men "roll away the stone." That's what man can do. God would not roll away the stone for man. After they rolled away the stone, He called out Lazarus. That's what only God can do. Man cannot raise the dead. After Lazarus was raised to life, He asked men to loose his bounds and give him food. God would not loose his bounds and give him food because man has the capacity to do all that.
Lack of good understanding of the ways and nature of God is what has made men to lack miracles in their lives.
It was men who failed in this fire incident, not God. But ignorant men would go about blaming God in their ignorance. God is a God of rules and order. Just see the order in the universe . You'll understand. If you don't follow His rules, He would never bend because of you.
MaxInDHouse: If someone say you should "call in him In times of trouble" what exactly should come to your mind? Are you to expect him or her to do something he doesn't always do or what he always do? Well calling on God is one thing but knowing how He always handle cases is another thing.
His only begotten Son according to the Bible is Jesus of Nazareth when he was in trouble he called on the same God what he got from God is salvation as in assurance of his resurrection not instant relief!
Image123: There's time for everything. Nothing stops you from praying while taking action. They were probably being mocked for their dead faith.
Jas 2:20 KJV But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Neh 4:9 KJV Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.
Eph 6:18 KJV Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
These three scriptures clearly show that biblical praying is accompanied with reasonable actions.
Lets do an experiment. If u are faced with a distressful situation, say burning house, 1. Call the fire service, BUT DONT PRAY. 2. Call the fire service, BUT PRAY BEFORE CALLING THEM 3. Dont call the fire service, JUST PRAY
Godfullsam: There is a reason why the Bible said "wisdom to profitable to direct".
I won't say more
Why do you guys quote the Bible to counter the Bible? Same Bible said God can do everything if you just call on him. Same book also said even if your faith is as small as a mustard seed, your prayer would work. Can you make it make sense?
Amumaigwe: The right call to make is to fire service not to God. The miracle God will do is to make them pick their calls and arrive early . God doesn't answer calls that men have been charged to answer, He doesn't support dereliction of duty. Most of what we pray to God for in Nigeria are handled by government in other climes. Government is the institution responsible for welfare of citizens, not God. Christians should unlearn what all these charlatants have taught them and embrace the true gospel.
So if God can miraculously make them pick calls quickly, why not quench the fire and save everyone the whole stress? I mean he's the omnipotent dude here, nothing is impossible
helinues: Heaven helps only those who helped themselves
With all their years of praying, should there have been fire in their house?
Was it God that put fire in their house or their recklessness? Why can't they fixed that first before reverting to their God?
Was it God that made christians hungry? Was it God that made christians sick? Was it God that endanger christians? Yet they pray to him for food, good health and safety. Your post obviously doesn't make sense. Besides God said call upon me in the time of trouble and I would answer you. I guess you'd have to tear out that verse of the Bible and similar verses cos your post is dead on arrival
Lawag3: So all Christians are followers of Samson.
This is how we Christians train our terrorist
We remind them of Samson.
First of all Samson isn't a good moral compass he disobeyed God, his parents, had affairs with women which lead to his downfall. His enemies capture him cut his hair plucked his eyes . Unlike your terrorist.
He got his strength back and collapse the building his enemies were in asking God for permission to die with his enemies.
That's exactly how Moslem terrorist operates.
Yet, Yahweh granted him strength to destroy himself with his enemies. Awesome
Image123: i am the one full of love, joy, peace and righteousness. On the other hand, you're still full of insecurities, hate, doubts and lots of questions that trouble your sanity. Do you even know the meaning of knowledge?
You have knowledge? So do you know your Bible was copied?
The City Manager of Carlsbad, California won’t allow police chaplain JC Cooper and fire chaplain Denny Cooper from concluding prayers at some events “in Jesus’ name.”
One of the chaplains was even told his prayers were a form of “harassment.”
Earlier this week, First Liberty sent a letter to the City Council urging it to revoke a recent order by the city manager that forbids the chaplains from praying in accordance with their religious beliefs.
JC Cooper is a local pastor who’s faithfully served as a volunteer chaplain for the Carlsbad Police Department for six years. His father, Denny Cooper, has served as the volunteer chaplain for the Fire Department for 18 years.
JC and Denny provide support, encouragement and prayer to first responders as they face traumatic situations. When asked by the police chief to give the invocation at the Carlsbad Police Department Awards Ceremony, JC concluded his prayer, consistent with his long-held beliefs, “in Jesus’ name.”
He was later told by the city manager that unless he removed “in Jesus’ name” from his invocation, he would be subject to discipline. He was then told that he could refer to any other name for God, just not “Jesus.”
Dating back to the Continental Congress in 1776, America has a robust and widely recognized tradition of both public prayer and chaplain programs. What’s more, courts throughout the country have long upheld government chaplaincy programs as constitutional in many different contexts.
The U.S. Supreme Court itself has explicitly held that governmental bodies may begin their meetings or other events with a prayer or invocation. The nation’s highest court also upholds chaplaincy programs even where the government selects a single chaplain to serve as its routine prayer-giver and that chaplain prays in accordance with his or her particular faith.
Our attorneys point to the landmark Supreme Court case Kennedy v. Bremerton, which held that the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause does not require government “to purge from the public sphere anything an objective observer could reasonably infer endorses or partakes of the religious.” Instead, “the Establishment Clause must be interpreted by reference to historical practices and understandings.”
Perhaps the city’s decision to prohibit chaplains from praying in Jesus’ name stems from a misunderstanding about the law and Supreme Court precedent. That’s why First Liberty has offered to assist the City in developing a constitutionally appropriate chaplain policy. And of course, we’re offering our assistance free of charge.
Censoring public chaplains betrays the history and traditions of our country. We urge the City Council to revisit the decision to censor the chaplains’ prayers. It should instead follow the Supreme Court’s clear statements with respect to prayer and allow them to pray according to their sincere religious beliefs.
