jumper524: all these doesn't take away the fact that doctors now scam people. See the way the reap of Mr IBU till he died. Cut off his leg yet he still had complications that killed him. With the excessive money they spent in hospital, how on earth did he had complications stills.
I've someone who you've almost destroyed with medications all in the name of treating blood pressure. Same blood pressure my god father manage with herbs that's not expensive and he's almost doing well. I'm certain of agbo didn't cure malaria, the treatment would be a going concern. You turned people to cash cow and your banking on success of paid treatment. Almost all private hospital are now adopting CS for every pregnant women. Even govt hospital doctors are recommending multiple test that cost a lot for common malaria all in the name of proper treatment that would bring you back to hospital. Those test can only be done on labs that would give the doctor prescription yet always your striking with massive salaries while you under pay nurses in your private hospitals. Omo Una be thief and the world would see it someday.
Plastic surgery should never be legal but you do it in a legal way as a source of cash flow. Thieves. I realized you are like most Nigerians: grossly ignorant, so lemme educate you 1. Mr. Ibu's case. He had type 2 diabetes, and he was wasting time at home, NOT GETTING ANY TREATMENT, and I remember he said that he was 'jazzed' and was going from one 'jazzman' to the other. When that failed, he started going to churches, most notably Omega Power Ministries, where he was said to have been 'healed'. With all these shenanigans, he's wasting time, with major organs like the kidney shutting down gradually. And of course, he was taking some herbs that worsened his prognosis. He only got to the hospital when he was swelling and developed foot ulcer which were major symptoms of chronic kidney failure. Now once diabetic foot ulcers get to the bones, it has to be cut. Simple. If not, the sepsis, would kill him. So the foot was cut but his kidneys have already failed and he ultimately succumbed to it. There are many people that have diabetes that go to diabetic clinics daily, living their lives to the fullest. That should tell you we doctors are doing our jobs well, ONLY IF YOU PRESENT EARLY TO THE HOSPITAL. You can imagine someone that is enlightened as Mr. Ibu is still thinking diabetes is jazz. 2. Hypertension is a manageable disease. I don't know what you mean that doctors destroyed you with antihypertensives. If you feel a particular antihypertensive is bad for you, report back to your doctor/cardiologist and let him investigate or change meds. If he refuses, change docs. There are many people that are managed for hypertension and other chronic conditions til their 90s or more, especially abroad. 3. You said agbo cures malaria. Have you heard of resistant or complicated malaria? If you don't, please google them. Agbo cannot handle those, and may worsen them cos it can fvck up the kidney. Those complications can be fatal, especially in children. They can also cause miscarriage in pregnancy. So you still need doctors and hospitals. 4. We go for CS to reduce maternal mortality. If you check online, Nigeria, despite being populated by enlightened and educated folks, is one of the highest in maternal mortality. Women die in large numbers. Most times they die from avoidable causes, thus we have low threshold for CS. Also in these days of litigation, we opt for CS to prevent getting sued for maternal and fetal death 5. So going for strikes is now a problem foe you? Are you objecting to the NLC strike? If not then you are a big hypocrite. And what is massive about doctors' salaries? Do you know how much bankers etc earn? Do you know the work hazards and long hours we spend? 6. So you complain we underpay the nurses, so where do you think we should source the money to pay them more? From heaven? Or your papa pubic hair? Is it not from patients we make the money? If we increase drug, investigation and theater costs, you would be the first to rant online. Are you also aware we underpay junior doctors too, who are our own colleagues. 7. Are you aware plastic surgery is the reason people with polydactyl(multiple fingers), cleft lip/palate(hole in the mouth), disfiguring burn scars, all live normal lives? Just cos some people decide to increase their ass size doesn't make it bad. Its their body and their money. Same way you decide to buy Hummer SUV instead of Nissan SUV THANK YOU. |

You may not beleive me, but doctors are one big set of scammers we so much believe in this world. The covid 19 scam should be enough to make any sane person think. All the sickness these days have no cure, only management till you kick bucket. See how they wrecked this beautiful lady. … and to think an innocent and dutiful doctor managed your birth, and probably would be managing you when you get older with a chronic disease. Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them

The difference is that, they were educated enough to verify every single information they get from the bible before believing it to be true, while Africans do little or no verification before believing.
Do we value quality education in this Africa at all? No!
To verify means that you are intelligent. Not verifying means that you are mumu, black monkey.

You can not safe life if you don't have the equipment which you will have to buy with your own money and FG won't supply that for free to hospitals. I blame NMA for taking all the rubbish from politicians, they have also failed in public enlightenment. One silly politician will say safe life first. smileyoo: am not saying you should lender him free service, read my post again. have you never heard of some hospitals detaining their treated patients until their hospital bills were completely paid ? i still prefer that, than allowing the patient to die, because life is precious and irreplaceable.
People should be careful of the type of society that they are advocating, because anybody could be a victim of any inhuman policy in the system hence nobody is totally immune to accidents or misfortunes. Lol. Those patients don't even complete the bills. Several times the hospital keeps the patient, at a point the patient just relaxes and enjoys the free accommodation provided by the hospitals, and worse still, the patient is occupying bed space that another patient could have used, depriving the hospital of revenue. Las las the hospital gets tired and accepts a fraction of the bill. And of course the patient NEVER completes payment once they step out. They won't even pick up calls once its the hospital calling. Some even escape the hospital custody. Where u wan find dem? Lol, Nigerians are really wicked |

Obviously u r not a healthcare personnel. I'll forgive you for your ignorance. The truth is Nigerians don't like paying up. Treat them, and when its time to pay, the stories you would hear, would make Superstory episodes. I learnt that the hard way during my NYSC. I sutured a road accident victim who had scalp lacerations. This woman begged me that she didn't have money and was traveling, that her sister would bring money when she visits. dangermouse: Standard procedure would be to commence treatment immediately and then informing or inviting the the police when the patient is stabilised.
Was once bitten on the arm by an angry dog around Ikeja and was to rushed to the Naval hospital nearby. Treatment was immediately commenced. Questions were asked due to the wound resembling a bullet wound. One gory hole at the front of my arm and another at the back. Looked just like a an entry and exit wound from a bullet.
The police was informed and an investigation was quickly carried out while I was being stitched up.
The Alsatian nearly also bit one of the police man who went on the investigation.
Hospitals should learn this and save lives of unfortunate Nigerians Abeg. I was a victim of this. Policemen came to my clinic to arrest me cos I treated a stab wound patient(not even gunshot) without getting a clearance. Stab wound. This was in Anume Clinic, Eleme, Port Harcourt So please take up your grouse with the police and leave us alone |

blowjohn: I agree completely. At the same time, FG should also make it mandatory that emergency patients also carry money along to the hospital.
I have see many people, both male and female who would rather spend money on alcohol/woman or hair than spend on their health.
I was involved in one recently. This guy, apparently, had gone to flex with a girl he just met and aside the cigarette, weed he smokes, must have taken some other drugs too.
Was leaving a hotel when he stumbled in and immediately lay on the cold floor. He was coming from a hospital where he was asked to pay some amount which he didn't oblige to.
I read the referral letter and noticed his breathing had siezed for about an hour and his SPO2 was 75 percent.
So he need urgent help.
Oya do u have funds? He kept saying he has money in his crypto account. His friend kept trying to make me me attend to him that they will pay later.
I asked him if it's air I'll used to administer salbutamol.
To cut the long story short: these guys had hundreds of thousands hiding somewhere as I discovered the day after. In fact they checked into a hotel of 20k per night the next day.
Case 2: a lady called me to complain about lumps on her breasts. I told her to go see a consultant in a certain hospital. Also told her to take some money , like 30k.
She shouted that it's too much. So I kept quiet. Then I called her back and asked her if she knows anything about breast cancer. She said no. I told her that God forbid the lumps are cancerous, the red Toyota Camry, the house she lives in, and her dry cleaning business will be like nonsense to her.
U see, I think people have a very hard time understanding that money is nonsense when a Heath threat is involved.
U rush to the hospital for help and u cannot pay. For what nw?
As for doctors and nurses who won't attend to emergency cases, they shud be dealt with decisively and the hospital sanctioned. Most a times, the reason why we don't treat emergencies is cos they don't like paying. Advanced countries have health insurance. Instead of you guys to hold your government and ask for good health insurance, you want the hospitals to treat you free. Clowns |
