There is an old article that talks about Apostates in their website. They said since the Laws of the land kicks against stoning or killing, they cannot kill Apostates like they were stoning people during the time of the Israelites. So, it is not because it is a sin to kill but because the Laws will not allow it. Which means if it was allowed, JWs will stone/kill Apostates once Watchtower asks them to do it since Apostates are the most hated by JWs. The funny thing about JW is that they devote a lot of time in trying to bring in Converts and have published an article where they say people shouldn't be forced to choose between Religion and Family. They even prepare their Bible Students they teach to expect opposition from Family and friends if they choose to convert to JW. Yet, the same JW persecutes their members who choose to leave by making sure they use Emotional blackmail to seize their families from them so as to force them to come back to the Cult. This is exactly how all Cults operates. When they face persecution from Authorities, they like to claim to be Victims who are not enjoying Religious freedom yet they don't dish out the same Religious freedom on their members. Why should a person be forced to remain in a Cult he or she is uncomfortable with? Is it by force to remain in a religion? Why must there be consequences for leaving a religion? Did Jesus at any time force anybody to join him and remain with him?
