Thou you said your opinion, but it's good for your opinion to always have back up. You have to ask yourself which of these state have I travel to, or provide pics. Places like Owerri, ancient City of Ibadan, and KD on list can never be ahead of Delta and Anambra. Even Ogun is expected to be ahead of them. They are just being over hype on the media.
Are Delta, Anambra and Ogun cities?
PhonesRe: Recommend Good Andriod Phone For My Aged Mother by Jarus(m): 7:15am On May 22, 2016
If she's educated, get her any of the Samsung s-series.

If she's not educated, just get her a simple torch phone.

50s is not aged though. I was expecting 70, 80s when I saw the topic.

My unlettered mum, who's in her early 70s, uses Nokia torch. She has used like 6 of that in the last 5 years. Just 5k. Simple to operate.

A privilege to get a mention from you sir.
Perhaps there is something so unique you would like to share with the young man to further help him.
He can also try informal networking opportunities.

Send your CV to friends, senior friends, seniors in your school who are working, just anyone you know that works somewhere.

Politely ask them to help drop (electronic copy of) your CV to their HRs. CVs submitted internally stand higher chance as the internal person knows the right place to drop it in the organization, plus informal follow up.

All these said, you don't need to panic. It happens. I have first class friends that also spent a year or more at home post-NYSC but they're doing well today.

nmreports:
Two things only, for me, could be accountable:

1) The jobs you apply for do not match your qualifications in terms of the courses you studied in your first and second degree.
2) Your grades and degrees are higher than the positions you have been applying for.

By extension, it could be that your resume has been filed and you may just start getting those invitations soon.

Suggestions:

1) Understand the kind of job you are looking for and tailor your resume to match those jobs and each company you are targeting.
2) Visit those companies and drop your resume addressing it to the Human Resources Manager using an A4 sized envelope. Remember to include a very powerful application letter. Don't stress yourself by walking around, just target particular companies.
3) Use LinkedIn, it's a very powerful too. You have great qualifications, leverage on it by building a network with people in your line of career path or discipline. There are numerous groups you could join there.
4) Keep applying online. Not as one without direction but as one with purpose.

And yes! Walking up to companies does work.
My humble suggestions.

Lastly, but more importantly, pray. It's the key. God is the one who lifteth up. Promotion comes not from the east, west, north and south but from above.
You have said it all.

Possibilities

2, They couldn't get ENOUGh people from the interviewed.

3, They're fulfilling all righteousness as required by their internal policy to advertise

4, The first recruitment was canceled.

IslamRe: Occult Activities Of The Jinn. by Jarus(m): 1:19pm On May 13, 2016
Op, thanks for the enlightening post.

I did similar thread here in 2009/2010.

Jinn activities are very rampant in our society. The only issue is even our people that are ordinarily knowledgeable in Islam still find it difficult to believe this thing they term "paranormal".
IslamRe: Occult Activities Of The Jinn. by Jarus(m): 1:10pm On May 13, 2016
MakeWeTalk:
Guys the True God cannot create Evil, you need to be evil to create Evil.

Jinns were created by allah.

Allah says :

"Indeed We created man from dried clay of black smooth mud. And We created the Jinn before that from the smokeless flame of fire "
(Qur'an 15:26-27).

The God of the bible created angels who rebeled and became demons.
He did not created demons, but the angels that became demons

Isa 14
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

So my brothers choose now between the God of the bible who cannot lie.

Titus 1:2
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

And allah of the quoran who is the greatest deceiver

Surah 3:54
But they (the Jews) were deceptive, and Allah was deceptive, for Allah is the best of deceivers (Wamakaroo wamakara Allahu waAllahu khayru al-makireena)!

Qur'an 7:99—Are they then safe from Allah's deception? No one feels safe from Allah's deception except those that shall perish.

Qur'an 8:30—And (remember) when the unbelievers plotted deception against you (O Muhammad), to imprison you, or kill you, or expel you. They plotted deception, but Allah also plotted deception; and Allah is the best of deceivers.
1, You cannot apply your own rules to our own. Islam has its rules.

2, The author never said all Jinns are evil. There are good jinns. Jinn are another creation of Allah like human being. They have freewil to be good or bad. There are good human beings and bad ones. Let's assume it is your God that created human beings, why did he create bad human being?

NB to Muslim readers: We're not permitted to interfere with Jinns, good or bad.

3, I see you have to go to the extent of inserting words into qur'anic verses all to sell your Jesus.

4, You also went to the extent of lying that you're a Muslim just to be able to post here. Now we see who's "deceiving" before selling his religion.
IslamRe: Mispronunciation Of Muslim Names by Jarus(m): 12:25pm On May 13, 2016
My name na number one on your list. Lol.

Meanwhile, I see no big deal in the corruption of the names. Yoruba corrupts anything, not just Muslim names.Try as much as possible to correct people that mispronounce your name, but no need to fight or quarrel with anyone over it.

After all, some people prefer the corrupted version. I had a lecturer in the university who told Muslim brothers not to call him Dhikrullah, that he is Sikiru. And he is a Muslim.

BusinessRe: My Experience Using Gtbank *737* Transfer Service by Jarus(m): 7:23am On May 07, 2016
Stalwert:
Hi,

Just Moments Ago....

I was in pickle I had great need to transfer money to a certain someone ..... Well thank God for Gtbank *737* platform which makes transfers convenient requiring only a functioning 1g phone to transfer money so easily.

*737* Fails me twice in a roll tongue

So I picked my phone copied the account number paste it after typing *737*2*10000*#!!@!@!×# and presto... supplied all the information requested and waited for a confirmation the money has been transferred but instead it said "sp service timed out"....
l was like first you don't succeed. try again huh

So I tried again and got the same response again ...sp service timed out. huh

Waited for a while

Then I tried it the 3rd time ... this time it confirmed that the transfer was successful.
I simply put my phone back in my pocket and sat down. grin

Invasion of the text mssg

I brought out my phone to browse and saw a torrent of. messages 6 in total. and opened my text box and saw all 6 mssg were from GTbank .... Immediately I knew they have done me real good. undecided cry
I opened the text mssg and saw that 10000 was deducted twice to the same account. One of the service timed out had actually timed in and transfered the money. I was outrage lipsrsealed angry I won't stand for this and even the paralyzed won't sit for it either.

Frantic call embarassed
I dialed 737 the line was so poor I droped and googled GTbank hotline which gave me 070 line which I dialed and followed the prompt. .. a nice and cordial lady picked up the line asked a series of questions which answered thinking I will get my money back only for the lady to say e pele sir please call the person you sent the money to refund your money there is nothing we can do for you ( no she didn't say e pele na sorry) huh cry undecided lipsrsealed angry angry I was utterly disappointed.

Why would the bank service that timed out send my money and pretend that it hadn't while waiting and lurking around for me to send the money again
and then deduct my money twice?
And the bank cannot do anything about it?

This is just so grade A crappy crap if you ask me.

lalasticala abeg come tell my story make country people learn small lesson.
Actually, once money enters someone's account, only that person can take it out. No bank can remove money from someone's account without the account holder's instruction.

I also had challenge with GT's 737 service few weeks back, but my account wasn't debited.

GT are dropping guard in their customer service, but I'm very loyal to them.

lol. I give them 10/10 also.

I hope they won't change this their commendable attitude towards customers when their customer base increases.

I remember GTBank used to be like that until they became 'big boys', now they send you to queue outside the bank, before you now progress slowly into the queue within the banking hall. Not to mention their insulting & lackadaisical attitude.
GT's customer service is seriously changing for worse.

Before, I used to get my issues resolved on twitter. Not anymore.

Even now, their 180 line no longer has "speak with our customers service agent " option. Just some pre-recorded messages that are too generic to solve one's issues.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by Jarus(m): 7:14am On May 02, 2016
vantage7:
Okay first, NLNG is not a "gas exploration company" as you said. Basically what they do is receive feed gas from suppliers (the oil and gas companies) and they process, liquefy and export as LNG and natural gas liquids, NGL. Then there's also the LPG branch for the domestic market. Oil and gas companies do the gas exploration and production. But a lot of the time, the gas is that which is produced from oil wells alongside oil unintended (called associated gas, AG) which would have been flared, but then there are dedicated gas wells which the bulk of the feed gas comes from.

Now, the gas to power you are referring to, that has nothing to do with NLNG. The gas power plants in the country are being supplied by the Nigerian Gas Company, NGC, which is a subsidiary of NNPC. They gather, treat, transmit and market natural gas to major industrial facilities like power plants and factories like Dangote's cement plants, which means they operate a network of pipelines. That is in addition to their gas export mandate via pipelines like the West African Gas Pipeline, WAGP, to Ghana, Togo and Benin, and the proposed Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline to Europe. I think that is where your attention should be. With the MSc you should be looking at the power sector. With your mechanical engineering background you'd want to be at the power plants. Hence power sector, upstream - generation.
Very good explanation.

However, NGC is not the only company that supplies gas to power plants and industrial users. Seven Energy (through its subsidiary, Accugas) also does. Among the customers of Seven Energy are Ibom Power Plant, NIPP (Calabar and Alaoji) and industrial users like Unicem (cement) and Notore (fertilizer)
