TravelRe: Flight From Benin City To Kaduna State. Please help! by Jarus(m): 10:48pm On Mar 10, 2016
No straight flight from Benin to Kaduna.

Benin to Abuja by air, then Abuja to Kaduna by road (2 hours), is what I think can be done.

No big deal in my opinion.

Well educated people use their cars for uber (and drive) in other countries.

Update: The front page headline doesn't say she's a woman. Thought it was because she's an accountant, the basis for me saying no big deal. That she is a woman makes it a big deal.

PoliticsRe: Photos From The Burial Of Nasir Zarummai, Ex-Commissioner In Sokoto by Jarus(m): 12:44am On Mar 06, 2016
You served in Sokoto 07/08? Can you remember the 'corper' that wrote article against governor in the newspaper?

CharlesPhc:
Tribute to Late Nasir (Sokoto State Commissioner on ICT) by a Former Youth Corp member from Port Harcourt who served in Sokoto State during the 2007/2008 Service Year

The news of your demise came to me as a very rude shock.

Sir, I remembered how as a Youth Corp Member serving in Sokoto State in 2007 (immediately after Gov. Wammako was sworn-in as Governor of the State) I was still working on my ICT Community Development Service (CDS) when I got a call from you, as you simply introduced yourself as Nasir and invited me over to your office (formerly World Health Organization (WHO) Office at the State Secretariat) for a brief chat; When I got there, you told me how my project had got the Governor's attention and the Governor had directed you to get in touch with me and make sure I was not lacking in anything I needed to complete the task.

I showed you the timeline of the project and the date of unveiling which in your own words you said “It’s always my pleasure to encourage young men like you who understand what it means to give back to the society without expecting anything in return”

Sir, as we went on together, you did everything possible to bring the Governor to be the Special Guest of Honor on my unveiling ceremony as a way of encouraging me and my work as you had promised and when the Sokoto State NYSC Authorities declined to grant the request for the Governor to grace the occasion, you were undeterred and your presence that day (in your capacity as the SSA to the Governor on ICT) added all the colors and boasted the morale of those Secondary School students you ensured were empowered even though no one knew how you were immensely and extremely instrumental behind the scene. Your passion for the empowerment of young people in Sokoto State through ICT was indeed so inspiring that you would not be forgotten even in death.

Sir, those emails from you even after I’d left Sokoto State were something else and each time I read through them over and over again, I realized the importance of selfless service to humanity. This was why the news of your sudden and untimely demise came to me as a very rude shock which I am yet to come to terms with.

As I write this, I am certain those young men and women from different Secondary Schools in Sokoto State whom you empowered would appreciate the fact that you were their hero and would always live to remember your legacy and the impact you made in their lives.

Adieu Sir..!!! Adieu the lifter of the young generation…!!! Adieu Nasir..!!! May your soul Rest in Peace. Amen

From Mr. Charles
The Youth Corper from Port Harcourt (as I was been called then)

Thank you Jarus.

It's always easy for others to play hypothetical games with other people's money.

I can't even imagine wasting money on a professional Quantity Surveyor.
I finished my Lagos home late last year and already living there.

Just speaking to surveyor now on survey of tge place.

He's billing me some hundreds of thousands. Now, I can do that at my pace. If Ibothered too much on those add ons and had spent all those monies on those things from inception, I may not have finished the project now.

Also, the best way to secure land in Lagos is to start building on it without delay. A close person that we bought the land together is currently battling omo onile for reselling his land while he was still delaying starting due to getting survey etc done before starting at all.

No, but errmm, it saved me time and avoidable 'paparazzi'.

My point is, let the guy start with that simple, probably amtaeur design, rather than have him get all sorts of professionals being recommedned here who may charge him up to 100k which is up to 20% of the foundation cost he complaining about.

Oga, it is when you have money that you think of all these.

I started my Lagos bungalow with a sketch on paper by myself. It was later after foundation is almost half-way that I got architect regularise it.

mourihno destroyed Mikel ,but u can see changes in his games under this new manager .I have always known Mikel to be a game killer ,he doesn't push attacks ,u give him pass at the midfield and he sends it back to the keeper, but now he gives accurate passes, opens up to receive passes and even tries to score. Under hiddink I think we are going to see more of Mikel.I rest my case
It may be 10 years late though.

ZF transmissions are reliable. It must have been poor diagnostics. You would have been saved from even the first change, if done properly.
I agree. It was largely my fault.

Didn't want to use Coscharis and other top companies, went to use roadside mechanics at Ladipo (although Land Rover specialist) who were probably gambling.

does range come in manual drive ?
Doesn't auto use gear/transmission system?

Isn't the difference is, one changes itself "automatically" and the other the driver "manually" changes it?

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Should I Include Every Job I Hold On My CV? by Jarus(m): 8:50am On Feb 22, 2016
No.

1, At some point as you progress, some past jobs become irrelevant. I don't need to put my NYSC experience on my CV again. I had it there 8 years ago.

2, Except the job I'm applying for relates to investment banking, I don't put my few months experience in investment banking 9 years ago on my CV again.

3, If you change job every 6 months and have like 10 past experiences with different companies, leave out some, (like when you were shop keeper in a supermarket, when you were filling station attendant, etc) else it will make your CV unwieldy.
