Etr3y: My argument is holistical not personal... Mails sent on Friday evening were not up to 250 talk more of 1050... If the 1050 mails were sent... The thread would HV been more clustered with success stories Oga, many people contacted me via Facebook and Twitter. Don’t assume this thread is the only source of information about this job. They have contacted successful GT candidates

xfire: Oh okay. A number of people actually declined NNPC offer back then for various reasons. You definitely know one or two of them.
It's usually a difficult situation for a few at the moment. May God bless us all so that we can be spoilt for choice. My close friend and flat mate then also rejected it on my advice. He had Oando offer at the same time and needed to choose one. I advised him to choose Oando. Today, he’s a senior manager in another top downstream major. |

I just saw the announcement. The EH process seems inconclusive. I will try and get some info to understand why. Bro, I was never keen at this NNPC thing. Even by my earning at the time I applied, it would still be a pay cut for me. And now, the gap between what I applied for and my current position has become even wider. So I’m never gonna take the offer if it comes, except God forbid, I lose my job. That’s what I meant. |

xfire: By now, most successful candidates would have realized that you don't need to know anyone to join NNPC.
I don't know of other government agency but I am sure NNPC recruitment is largely merit driven.
Congratulations once again to everyone, whether you got APL or not.
Jarus, we will await a celebration party from you once you get your APL. We full ground.

Firstgentleman1: I have been crying tears of Joy since evening. When I saw that sms from NNPC that instructed me to check my mail and I saw I made it. My hands began shaking almost immediately. I cried my eyes out. The song "Too faithful" by Moses Bliss kept repeating itself in my head.
I was calling my dad, mum, siblings and with each successive calls, the tears poured out more. I don't know anybody. I have no person that is pushing anything. It was just God being God.
I called a guy we went together for the interview and his response was "only God know the criteria wey dem use. E be like say u get people wey dey press button for you there". I cried more.
The greatest pointer to God's work is that I just got fired from my contract Job two days back.. I don't even know where to begin thanking this God.
Jarus I really appreciate you for your humility. You'd chat with me, tell me certain things that gave me hope. Even though we didn't eventually get to see before you later left Offa during the Ileya festival of last year, I still learnt a lot from you just on whatsapp alone. Thank you for your wisdom and humility..
To everyone, APList and otherwise, may God guide our steps towards our glorious heritage.
God Bless us all.
By the way: I studied Economics and I am from Kogi State. I interviewed on the 4th of July Congrats bro. Happy to know you made it. I go to Abuja for meetings. Just shoot me a message when you resume. We can catch up over some wraps of suya one of these evenings when I’m in Abuja. |

Thank you for being matured and helpful during the time of waiting. I would laugh in the office over the jokes made here but your character and all stand out. I have evolved in this thread etc....Indeed, I learnt a new way of life here.
Please sirs, I have two important questions:
(1) WHEN IS THE TIME FOR RESUMPTION?
(2) IF SOMEONE HAS RELOCATED, WILL THEY BE CALLED BY COURIER?
Finally, I would like to say never give up. After the exam, someone laughed at me and said I went to write job they don share? I didnt even have the transport to Abuja nor where to stay, today I woke up this evening and saw the email just dropped. Indeed, thankful.
Please sirs, I would anticipate your response. Thanks. Resumption is May 4. Congrats |

Abeg, If you have gotten success notification without knowing anyone but GOD Almighty, please indicate and testify to proof the naysayers wrong.
I also mentioned the recruitment for GTs and EHs have not been cancelled as against the rumour peddlers of recruitment cancellation. Thank God for everything. I told people this several times. There is no way everyone that works in NNPC will be people that "know people". |

There is a mistake of name in my O'level certificate (neco)... example instead of Written Jarus the wrote Jarius, though have gotten affidavit, But am scared if it will hunt me down in the nearest future.. Anybody with an idea should please help me.. I don’t think it should affect you. My o’level (WAEC) also has similar thing (slightly different spelling of my first name from the way it is spelt in my degree certificate). No one has ever asked me question about it. Maybe because my WAEC cert has my photo and I have 3 names in both certificates, with the two other names perfectly spelt same way. |

Patientnnpctaff: HEY GUYS I GAT A QUESTION, ESPECIALLY FOR PEOPLE LIKE JARUS AND THOSE THAT HAVE GONE FAR IN LIFE.... IS THERE NEED TO BE FORTIFIED IN CASE OF SPIRITUAL ATTACK, SOMEONE SAY BEFORE YOU CAN STAY IN NNPC, U NEED TO HAVE PROTECTION, IF NOT THE WILL HUNT U DOWN... I don't dwell on all these matters. I pray normally, my parents pray for me, and the few people I help within my means pray for me. I don't believe there is somebody somewhere scheming spiritually to stop my progress. If there is (which I seriously doubt), I don't believe the person can harm me spiritually. I only pray for God's favour and blessing not wasting energy casting some enemies (I have a dislike for Nigerian attitude of attributing everything to some usually imaginary enemies). As a practising Muslim (and an Alhaji), I try to live my life normally knowing that nothing happens to a man except what God has decreed to him. That's my philosophy to life, not just in the workplace. If I worked in NNPC, it would not have been different. And to be honest, I think fetishness/spiritual attack is the least of things you can accuse northerners (who dominate NNPC) of. Instead, you should spend more time improving your political skills! That will be more helpful (to your career in NNPC) than wasting your time on imaginary spiritual attack. |

Once met Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr in CDG Paris.
That was October 2017 after qualifying Nigeria for Russia 2018. Had discussions around how he qualified Nigeria for the WC in that tough group that had Zambia, Cameroun and Algeria. He said he was going to his base in Bordeaux.
