bingbagbo:As a striker, his most coveted talent should be how to score goals. He scored goals: Highest scoring record in AFCON, highest scoring African in La Liga; scored in 2 UCL finals and instrumental to winning 3. Do you want a striker to be able to dribble the 22 players on the field before he has talent. The talent expected of him is how to score ggoals, and he did |
chukwudi44:This is not about the North. It is about Nigeria. We're not supporting Buhari because he's a northerner. We're supporting The change train. We have an equally qualified Osinbajo by the side. In any case, the so-called "northern elders" actually don't add to or take away any value from Buhari's popularity. Was Atiku not the consensus northern candidate in 2011? Did they even deliver northern delegates to him in PDP primaries? The so-called northern elders are paperweights, they are part of elite and they have never been the support base of Buhari. Buhari thrives on his popularity among the poor of the north who don't care about any northern elder. |
Some ignorant people still say "CAF give X player APOTY, Hayatou gives this APOTY". The same way some people say "FIFA like Messi and give him WPOTY award" blabla bla. This argument is ignorant, as I have always said. All the African countries voted independently from CAF's final 5 shortlist. Did they all gang up? Will CAF manipulate a result they will make public Anyway, attached is the result of the vote. Each country was asked to give its 1st choice 5 points, second 4 points in that order. 13 countries ranked Yaya highest (5 point), 2 countries (Guinea and Swaziland) rated Enyeama the best, two (Botswana and Gabon) rated Pierre Aubameyang the best, 4 (Ghana, Sao Tome, Zambia and Togo rated Gyan the best, while 3 (Nigeria, Cape Verde and Tanzania) rated Musa the best. Over all, their aggregate scores: Yaya - 175 points Aubameyang - 120 points Enyeama - 105 points Gyan - 94 points Musa - 78 points. |

omenka:FFK and Okupe can tweet anything, but they can only fool idiots. How can anyone blame Buhari for an action of a PDP governor? |
omenka:No, Buhari cannot give order, not even persuasion, to a Katsina state ministry. |
cuteboy2:How does an action of a PDP government concern Buhari? CAN that is the spokesbody of Christians in Nigeria have rightfully called attention to it. Is Buhari, still a private citizen, the spokesperson of Christianity in Nigeria? Anyway, I forgot this is a period of christianization of Buhari. |
I think in the interest of national sensitivity, Katsina SG should drop this. At least we can pretend to be blind to Fashola pulling down mosque in government secretariat two or three years ago. Meanwhile, before the anti-GMB elements come here to shout, let me remind them upfront that the current Kastina SG is a PDP government. |
TheRealAdonye:Thanks, guys. Appreciated. |
I don't support getting personal on social media discussions, but if you insult someone on Social Media, he reserves the right to block you. It is his wall, his space. Eghes Eyieyen blocked me on Facebook over political disagreements. It is not out of place. Interestingly, I was on phone with Bob Dee for more than 20 minutes this morning on this same issue of politicians. He made some solid points which I think are valid. |
Is Ekwueme also a "motor park tout"? GEJ, alongside his advisers, has destroyed PDP, and I think it's good for Nigeria. This was an Ekwueme who was jailed by Buhari and should be at the forefront of a campaign against Buhari! |
Obipat:This morning, coming from my Saturday morning football, I drove past a group of 3-4 men discussing politics, I overheard from the car a statement, "He has disappointed us...". I reversed and told them, from the driver's seat, that I was interested in their talk. They said "Your Oga has disappointed us. We're not voting him this time around". I asked, "who was my Oga?". They said Jonathan. They were artisans, men with not much education who had assumed glasses-wearing "elite" like us are automatically for GEJ. I said I was for APC/Buhari. They all shouted in jubilation, hey APC. I just drove off. These w common men on the street that voted GEJ in 2011. |
Carmal90:Ok. We will meet at the poll now. |
Carmal90:We want to try another "devil" to allow for comparison. Simplicita. |
knightsTempler:And so what? Why must he attend church service? What criterion is that? I have never attended a church service, and don't plan to, how does it affect me? You said Buhari has never built a borehole? Who needed a borehole during his regime? During his regime, there was nothing like borehole because public taps were running. I grew up in the early 90s to witness the collapse of public infrastructure under IBB, GEJ's godfather. You claimed he didn't meaningfully develop Daura? If he did, you will call him a self-centred bigot as you accused him of concentrating PTF projects in his home region (North). What do people want? |
Fashola, ogbeni yen l'enu bi razor. The guy has fully turned into a politician in the last 1 year. |
oyb:My. Barber said same this evening. My company's driver also told me same earlier in the week. And I have a senior colleague, a PH-based Igbo who said he flew all the way from PH to to Lagos to vote GEJ in 2011, but if he has his way today, he would vote Buhari 10 times. |
Lilaex:If Muslim is substituted for Christian in this post, I'm sure it would have traveled far, with screenshot shared on twitter and everywhere. Some people have immunity from "religious politics" |
In Islam, we have rules for everything, not a matter of what anyone feels as I'm seeing here. The rule is simple and straightforward: sex vitiates fasting. |
nicerod:You didn't even read the post. Vanguard is a blog abi? |
Luchitec:It was the guy that brought in after Buhari, essentially to probe, that looted $100m. Read my post again. |
It may not be a scam. It's a possible error. My colleague in Treasury in my former company once did same mistake. This one was even 5m or so. He sent transfer instruction to bank and mixed up a digit in the account number. The bank officer also did not check to compare the account name on the instruction with the account number, which was different. He must have been negligent because it's so routine (company pays tens of vendors almost everyday). He effected the transfer. It would have been easier if it was to same bank (bank will just debit that wrong account back) but it was, like the case of the op, to a third party bank which they had no control over. They contacted the guy's bank, and they said they cannot touch an account without the owner's instruction. The best they did was to get them the owner's phone number, who they called and explained to. The owner then transferred the money back to the company's supplied account. The company later issued a fresh instruction to transfer to the right supplier's account. I don't know whether the bank sanctioned their officer for the error of not checking account names. |
aariwa:On Nairaland alone, we raised almost 1m for him in 2011. |
Arsenal recognise the huge following they have in Nigeria in some of their comments on Africa. |
First, we know how contracting is done, not just in Nigeria, but anywhere in the world. We know there is mark-up on every item by the contractor which is ordinarily not out of place unless it has gone beyond pre-agreed rate. Just calling attention to that, not justifying inflated contracts, if truly inflated. If I can build a house for N10m with direct labour and supervision, if I hire a contractor, he won't spend same N10m. He would probably spend as much as N15m. But more importantly, why did THISDAY not tell us why the "committee members were changed before verification"? That is a very important info THISDAY may deliberately have left out, not to dent the believability of the story. It may interest readers that the Chairman of this Obasanjo committee, Haroun Adamu, ended up to be the one found wanting at the end of that "probe".Rather than Buhari, it was the "prober" that was jailed for looting $100m of PTF funds. When he came out of prison, he wrote a book to confess that their brief was to disgrace General Buhari. |
DeejayTafari:Better chance where? In Rivers only? |
clevvermind:"Very worse". Smh |
Thanks. I think we should all respect her views, it may actually be in good faith. Don't insult her pls. |
Benebaby77 Your view is noted and respected. There will always be dissenting views in a public forum. The blogger sent me a message asking for interview, and I granted. I only responded to the questions he asked. He was even the one that cast the headline. He came to NL to post the interview after publishing it, obviously to direct traffic to his blog. But again, I've been active on public forums long enough to know there will always be different interpretations of things like this. |
cococandy:Well, that is me. It is my household. I am the head. Dem no born that woman that will come and curse and threaten me. Nibo ni month to raye oshi. |
Any woman that will try half of this with me and still remain in my house, has not been born. |
In Islam, it is possible. And this is our belief/explanation: A dead person is gone and can never comeback to come back to life until resurrection. So it is not your real brother. However, a Jinn, called Qareen, that follows individual when alive, has the ability to put on the image of the dead person and do things like this. |
