Pa James/Ajirebi.

All the 4 four guys the OP listed can also make you tumble in laughter on their days. But Pa James/Ajirebi is my man anyday.

Live in Ajah, work in VI. Its the same everywhere. I salute people saving money in this Lagos.

My own expense net a little broader - Married last year, weeks old baby, car maintenance, younger siblings and their 'bros, abeg I need 10k for this, for that', friends that wait for month-end to send those texts asking for money, regular household expenses, food, subsriptions, etc spends not less than 300k per month on these stuffs.

The annoying thing is that these expenses increase almost naturally with income. When income increases, they also rise.

Katsumoto: Jarus,

With the way you have worded the first topic, you can't determine which is for or against.

It should be

FIRST ROUND - 1914 AMALGAMATION - A BLESSING? or you can word it differently

FIRST ROUND - 1914 AMALGAMATION - A HISTORICAL MISTAKE?
Ok, thanks. Copied and pasted smiley

OK. We have enough endorsements already. I declare the topic settled. We are debating SNC.

TOPIC FOR OCTOBER
FIRST ROUND - 1914 AMALGAMATION - A HISTORICAL MISTAKE?
FINAL ROUND - SOVEREIGN NATIONAL CONFERENCE - ULTIMATE PANACEA TO NIGERIA'S PROBLEMS?

DATE:
First round: Saturday, October 27, 2012
Final round: Sunday, October 28, 2012

DEBATERS:
To be decided latest Sunday, October 21
Express your interest and after scrutiny, we shall settle for 4 Nairalanders, 2 opposing, 2 supporting.

NOTE:
This is based on conviction/ideology, not just a make-believe position only for debate purpose.
In the first round, they will be paired, and the two winners square up for finals.

emmasege: Is martins still relevant for a competitive shirt in Nigerian football?, his legs to me seem tired and can no longer fire. it's better we encourage younger strikers and start featuring them b4 2014.
I dont think Martins is finished, at least for this 2013 AFCON he should be useful.
Sports › Re: AFCON 2013 - Super Eagles Team by Jarus(op): 4:42pm On Oct 17, 2012
I think we have too many options in attack, all doing fine in their clubs

1, Moses
2, Musa
3, Martins
4, Emenike
5, IK Uche
6, Ideye
7, Peter Utaka
8, Osaze
9, Anichebe
10,Ejike
11 Uche Nwofor
12 John Utaka
13, Uche Kalu
14, Ehiosun
even Yakubu is not finished

Too bad only 6-8 of them will make it. It's going to be highly competitive.

bin gbagbo: apart from gervinho ande yaya toure, all the above names are overrated dead decayed footballers. .. ..seriously.. .dem cant match Ghana grin
Drogba will kick your ass as he kicked Senegal, which in is even more star-studded than your Ghana cheesy
Politics › Re: NL Monthly Political Debate by Jarus(op): 1:27pm On Oct 17, 2012
Since nobody is suggesting any topic, I propose:

SUBJECT: BREAK-UP/SNC
First round - The 1914 amalgamation - a blessing or a historical mistake?
Final round - Sovereign National Conference (SNC) - the ultimate solution to Nigeria's myriad of problems?

OR

SUBJECT: OIL

First round - Is Nigeria better off with oil?
Final round - Oil and the nation - way forward?

Open to modfication

We have to close this out soon, so that we can begin preparation in earnest for the October el-Classico!
Sports › Re: AFCON 2013 - Super Eagles Team by Jarus(op): 10:49am On Oct 17, 2012
What then do you want CIV to say? Drogba, Kalou, Yaya Toure, Kolo Toure, Tiote, Gervinho etc

Well, apart from Kwadoe Asamoah, Painstil, Muntari and Dede Ayew, others are less known average players.

Sports › Re: AFCON 2013 - Super Eagles Team by Jarus(op): 9:00am On Oct 17, 2012
I think we have surplus options up front, especially on the wings. Our centre forward (9) remain Ideye, Emenike and Martins.

I have some confidence in the three of them. I believe Emenike is a good 9, we only have to be patient with him. Other forwards we have are either wingers or supporting strikers.

The first 11 I want to see; 4-3-3

---------------------Enyeama---------------------------------

Echiejine----------Yobo-------------Ambrose-------------Taiwo

-------------------------Obiorah---------------------------

-------------Igiebor-------------------------------------------

---------------------------------Mikel------------------------

Uche-----------------------------------------------------Moses

----------------------------Emenike----------------------------------

Then 2nd half, Martins to come in for Emenike and Musa to replace either Moses or Uche (depending on who is having a better game).

If Emenike doesn't deliver, we start Ideye next match and replace with Martins in second half as usual.

If our midfield is not doing up to expectation, we switch to 4-4-2,replace the main culprit with Onazi, bring in Kalu Uche to further fortify the midfield(Mikel falls back, Uche goes to 10 position), sacrifice the wingers, and use Uche - Moses upfront.

On paper, after CIV, I think Nigeria has the second biggest individual talent at the moment. Ghana and Mali also have quality players.

The 23 men I want to see at Nations Cup 2013

2, Agbim

Defenders
3, Yobo
4, Efe Ambrose
5, Echiejile
6, Taiye Taiwo
7, Oboabona ( abi wetin be the guy's name)
8, xxxxxxx

Midfield
9, Mikel
10,Nosa Igiebor
11, Obiorah
12, Gabriel Reuben (if he recovers before NC)
13, Onazi
14, xxxxxx

Forward
15, Musa
16, Emenike
17, IK Uche
18, Ejike
19, Martins
20, Ideye
21, Kalu Uche
22, Moses
23, Osaze (not exactlt sure we need him)
Campaign about what? Moving threads from Politics to the Islam for Muslims section? Kindly cite where you and I have discussed this. Since evidently we've done this more than twice, it shouldn't take you long, yes?
Case pathetic? I see threads being moved from politics to "Islam for Muslims", when clearly the threads were started by non-Muslims.

I was under the impression that the only people with the power to move threads were the mods of the forum, and presumably also Mukina and Seun.

Is it completely unreasonable to suspect that one of you or OAM4J moved the threads?

Stop crying like a little girl, man the f up.
You've been on that campaign for long and I have explained to you in the past, not once, not twice.

And you were categorical that it was me in some of your posts. That is character e-assassination. There are 4 people capable of moving threads, why the attack on me always? Oh, I have forgotten I am a Muslim and you once said you can't stand Muslims. Good for you

Jarus: use your brain, use the 'view log' button to see who did what. Stop ranting.
Ok, I can see that 'view log' button is not visible to non-mods.

These are threads I don't even know anything about, never even sighted, got to know them through your posts, which popped up in my regular search for 'Jarus' on NL to see where my ID is being mentioned.

Your case is pathetic. The threads, from what I viewed from the log, were moved by Seun. So go jump into ocean.
Well, hopefully we will find out whether it is Jarus or OAM4J who is moving these threads. My suspicion is the former. But we shall see soon..
Much as I would have preferred to ignore this, I wonder why it is difficult to use the 'view log' function at the bottom of every thread to check who did what on a thread - which would have showed you it was moved by Seun.

If not through my regular search for my name on Nairaland that linked me to this thread now I wouldn't have known this thread existed. Never even sighted it until my search for 'Jarus' now brought me to this post.

Why don't you come out to tell me you hate me because I am a Muslim, than all these hits in things I don't even know anything about.
