Will be off to field for soccer in the next couple of hours for today's exercise.
Nairaland General › Re: If You Could Choose To Stay A Certain Age Forever. by Jarus(m): 10:50pm On Dec 03, 2011
I like the 20's. I respect people that achieve a lot in their 20's. I know someone that joined a company at 21 as a youth corper and by 27 he was already CE+ of one of the subsidiaries of that company. I admire under-30 achievers, the Mark Zuckerberg of this world. I set a lot of target for myself before leaving this age bracket, planned to marry at 27 and be a landlord before 30. Couldn't meet the marriage target but just a year later. As for landlord, I still have 9 months!

On the flipside, a lot of things are actually pardonable if you're in your 20's but when you cross that bracket, you have to watch your actions and behaviour more.

I like 20s.

BIGER BOY:
The critical question we should be asking are

Is this woman a real university graduate?

In what language did she studied
Does uniport offer courses in other languages too

How did she defend her thesis, presentensation,

This is an indictment on our education and even more on uniport, but we r too shameless to realise.
One Patience at a time, pls!

Good morning all!

It has been a very bad few days one of siblings has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at age 49 and may have less than 1 month to live sad

It is an terrible type of cancer as it only starts showing symptoms when it has reached an advanced stage and is usually not operable.
So sad, the People's General. sad sad

With the rate at which people are been diagnosed of all kinds of diseases these days, especially the Big-C, I dey fear o.

That's what actually motivated my exercise actually -something I used to laugh at before.
Phones › Re: What Do You Do With Ur Bb? by Jarus(m): 4:36pm On Dec 02, 2011
In this order:

1, Be in touch with NL in particular, and secondarily FB
2, Get instant emails - and reply immediately if need be
3, BBM

I did not include calls and sms because those are too obvious and primary.

Politics › Re: *~ Gbawe Voted The Politics Section Poster Of The Year *~ Congratulations by Jarus(op): 3:19pm On Dec 02, 2011
Ban rule is not new. It was applied last year. What does it profit us to scheme out anybody in an online 'award' that may not add any value to anybody, beyond the fun of it?

Guy, let's be dispassionate, how will it look if someone that, though known for intelligent contributions, falls short in simply abiding by forum rules, being named the best poster in the section? There are rules everywhere and conformity with rules should not be compromised.

Yous ism suspicion is even more surprising. Check out the most banned people on this section - from Desola to Beaf to ajl-harem - tell me if it is skewed to a particular tribe?

In rare cases, it may be possible that x does something 'warnable/banable' but he escapes it because we did not see it. We are human and not machines and cannot rule out imperfections, but as much as humanly possible we try to be fair to all.

Also note that warning doesn't necessarily precede banning; you can be banned at first offence depending on the gravity of your offence.

Let's let go our personal biases in matters like this.
Politics › Re: *~ Gbawe Voted The Politics Section Poster Of The Year *~ Congratulations by Jarus(op): 3:09pm On Dec 02, 2011
Jarus:
NB:
Beaf disqualified by the ban rule. Checks currently been done for Gbawe and Ekt bear for '2-warning' rule.
For those that nominated more than 1, only the first is recognized.

Keep nominating!
Cleared. Ban/warning books checked and their names not found, so they are qualified for nomination.

Car Talk › Re: Choose Btw Toyota Highlander And Honda Accord by Jarus(m): 12:54pm On Dec 02, 2011
I use Honda Accord 2005(which is only slightly different from 2006) and must say it's not a good choice where the roads are not so good, but in terms of aesthetics I will still take it over Highlander 2002-2004.

Highlander, and Toyota generally, is more rugged, but I have issue with vehicles as old as 2002-2004.
Education › Re: *~ Ola one Voted The Education Section Poster Of The Year *~ Congratulations by Jarus(m): 12:32pm On Dec 02, 2011
No benefit, just fun. It's an annual thing since 2009. I'm however talking with Seun/Mukina to consider giving the winner PM privilege for the year.
