First Intamin P30 on way to Nigeria (10/19/11)
Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Intamin's all-new P30 monorail train has been completed and is currently on its way to the Rivers Monorail construction site in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The P30 has been designed to increase passenger capacity in a state-of-the-art lightweight car body, operate with a higher top speed and meet ever-increasing industry standards for safety and sustainability. The P30 has an advanced suspension and guidance system which Intamin says will reduce noise and vibration to achieve higher ride quality. The propulsion system allows for speeds up to 80 km/h, which matches the speed capability of the majority of the world's straddle and suspended monorails. Shorter headways are expected when the P30 is paired with the ATGS-P30 automatic train guiding system. The Rivers Monorail is slated to open its first phase line in October of 2012.

The moment Fashola leaves, that is the end of ACN.
Also, if these newly elected governors are shit, that will also signal the end of ACN.

Are the needs of a Yoruba man different from the need of an Average Igbo man?
Very good question.

alj_harem:
One question Dayokanu

why is tinubu dressing like Awolowo, is it that he needs to be awolowo first before he can implement good services for the people of the SW region ?

Did Awolowo dress like Sango or oranmiyan before he could rule ?

Where were you when the same lack of respect Odechukwu labeled Yoruba people and their leaders RASCALS?

Respect cuts both ways.
He said Yoruba land will not be left in the hands of rascals (or there about). Since when did ACN= Yorubas. If the leaders are trading insults between themselves, how does that concern Yoruba people?? I hardly see Ijaws insulting Yorubas and rightly so, since GEJ is not=  to the Ijaw nation as ACN should not be =Yorubas.

alj_harem:
I agree, Dayokanu is getting annoying what is rain of insult on Jonathan. but the way nyamarias always turn things to ethnic issue bits me.

For once in there low lifes, let them relax and post objectively instead of subjecting every issue to ethnic or tribal ranting.
But Alhaji, you are also insulting them (Igbos), aren't you? How does two wrongs make a right?

Ahlaji, some Yorubas have lost it on this forum. They keep insulting the elderly. I thought respect was part of the core values of the Yorubas. Its is a shame!! Don't defend them.

These are the kind of idiotic posts you find here on NL. You come here and insult a whole tribe's mode of dressing because you are God abi? So you think your tribe dresses better or are superior in some way abi? You just show that you are immature and unintelligent. You also show you have never travelled out of the hole where you live. So shallow minded and a complete dunce. And you call someone the age of your father a retardeen and you think you sound fashionable or smart? You have no clue how low level you are. You are only laying up curses for yourself in the future because every lousy insult you dish out will bring pains to you. Especially when you insult a whole tribe of people in ungodly arrogance. Pride goeth before a fall!
I totally agree!
From the constant assault on the president to superiority complex. PRIDE GOES BEFORE A FALL!!! Shame on some of the Yorubas on this forum. The truth is that they do not know that they are also insulting themselves. Aworis and Ilajes also use wrapper. Odes!!!
PoliticsRe: Oyedepo Foresees A Revolution In Nigeria by jason123: 1:30pm On Oct 20, 2011
Is it not obvious?? With the way things are going, it will soon become unbearable for EVERYONE. It has nothing to do with GEJ.
I wonder why some Igbos on this forum are crying more than the ND themselves and trying to instigate everyone against the Yorubas undecided, its highly unintelligent. Poverty does not know an Emeka and an Olu.

How I have missed Dr Faseun  from his days in NADECO.

Now people are beginning to wake up.

NADECO fought so much for democracy and having landed democracy, they went away without ensuring that the people in power were good people.

If NADECO is coming back by pulling the igbos, hausas and yoruba youths in the form of CENN, i ll say this is the best news I ve heard so far this year about Nigeria.
We ve been clamouring for coordinated actions against oppressive govt policies.
I think NADECO CENN, provides that united coordination.
I was saying it a few days ago that poverty knows no ethnic group or religion. Its when poverty is involved, you'll see unity grin.

GEJ's advisers are not doing a proper job. The revolution and protest that will accompany this will be a shock. Even the Ijaws and in fact, the entire ND will feel the pinch and will react similarly.

Lol, JOKERS!!! The Ilajes, Itsekiris and Edos will NEVER allow such a state to be created! Over our dead bodies! We ( Western Ijaws, Itsekiris, Ilajes and Edos) are ALL EQUALS, no one is greater than the next but my Ijaw brothers should not allow greed to have a say in their judgement.

If the Ijaws say they are marginalised, what are we going to say about the Ilajes in Delta or the Itsekiris in Ondo? huh Ijaws; let there be peace and harmony between us, GEJ will not be there forever. Let us stop this land grabbing, please. Thank you!

Next year will be interesting. When the "common man" is trapped between the devil(hunger and unemployment) and the deep blue sea (inflation cause by the removal of subsidy), he has no choice but to react. Something has to give way!

By ABDULWAHAB ABDULAH
LAGOS— Major ethnic nationalities in Nigeria, yesterday, vowed to join forces with the National Labour Congress, NLC, to stop the Federal Government from its planned removal of fuel subsidy.

The group, which promised to bring the government on its kneel, if it goes ahead with the hike in prices of oil products, said, it was high time the Federal Government realised that Nigerians have suffered by the removal of subsidy by previous administrations since 1973.

Addressing newsmen in Lagos, the group under the aegis of the Coalition of Ethnic Nationalities of Nigeria, CENN, comprising Igbo Youths Congress, IYC, Ijaw Izon Community in Lagos, IZC, Supreme Egbesu Assembly, SEA, Arewa Youths Congress, AYC, Niger/Delta Student Council, National Coalition of Arewa United Association, NCAUA, noted that the repeated excuse by government that fuel is cheap in the country was a display of insincerity by those in government against the governed.

Promising to resist the removal of the subsidy, the coalition said it will use everything at its disposal to persuade government to drop the idea, but will resort to force if their pleas fail.

Noting that the removal of subsidy will endanger the nation’s nascent democracy, CEEN said, President Goodluck Jonathan “stands to lose the goodwill of a majority of Nigerians. In fact, an increase in price will endanger our democracy. Forcing Nigerians to pay a higher price for fuel will unleash a rippling effect of inflation, which will spare no sector of Nigeria and the economy.”

CENN’s President, Dr Fredrick Fasehun, said that the consequences of increase in oil price may engender a reactionary move by Nigerians.
