I was in the Gombe State from 2009 to 2016,I was at the middle of the insurgency when it was at it's peak.

FYI, the major church in the NE is ECWA church,you will see 20-30 Evangelical Churches in the North before you see one Catholic church, northern Christians are mostly evangelicals,you will hardly see a Catholic among them.
The only thing that annoys me Is that now that Priests and convents are been attacked the Catholic Church has all of a sudden awaken, whilst all along they thought they had no issues, forgetting that it is not about Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox or Pentecostal.....it is about Christians in General.

Let me clear you something,the number of Pastors and Churches of ECWA,COCIN,BAPTIST and EYN Churches that have been killed or destroyed by Boko Haram each surpasses that of the Catholic Church.
Don't forget about the CAN Chairmen of LG's and states that have been kidnapped or killed,go to the front page of Nairaland right now and you will see the news of a Pastor shot,his his two sons killed and the daughter kidnapped.
That had been a re-occuring decimal in the North East long before now.

So don't tell me how it happens over there,I was born and brought up there.

I vividly know each of those Churches you tagged and how they construct their buildings. Each of those Churches, you cannot compare the WORTH (in terms of financial value) of 5 Evangelical or Protestant Church to one single Catholic Church, this i can tell you till eternity.

Now, you mentioned about your stay in Gombe. In the height of Boko Haram insurgency, you dare not mention Gombe before Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe (BAY States). I am a native of Adamawa, precisely Northern Adamawa (where Boko Haram ravaged most in the State), i was born and bred there. What has Gombe seen for you to tell me who personally experienced those tragic incidents ? I was a direct victim of insurgency, not a "them say Nairaland story teller".

I have relatives, friends, associates, and colleagues who have paid the supreme price in those killings. I am aware of the number of Pastors killed in my State, and my family happens to have been close to some of them (being that Northern Adamawa people are close and mostly know each other in one way or so).

I have never asked anyone to tell me about the insurgency cos i have followed up from Gombi, Hong, Maiha, Mubi N/S, Michika, Madagali, to its bordering precincts and hinterland.

And just to inform you, ECWA is not the dominant Church in NE. Maybe it is in Gombe and Bauchi, but not so in Adamawa and Borno. In Adamawa, ECWA is not even a big Church, infact Living Faith is bigger than ECWA in Adamawa. The big Churches in the State include the indigenous LCCN, EYN, then there is Catholic, Living Faith, RCCG, among others.

Boko Haram has been killing and kidnapping Protestant and Evangelical Pastors ever since before 2010,even state and LG CAN Chairmen have not been left out.
The Catholic Church has been quiet since only of recent have they become vocal,with the exemption of Bishop Matthew Kukah, who has always been outspoken.

Personally, you have not experienced Boko Haram rampage i believe. Or have u ever witnessed the invasion of same group into a town or its attack on a target that is your base? I escaped Boko Haram more than twice, the last one i walked for 5 days into a journey of unknown destination....i have been in a clearer picture of Boko Haram insurgency FYI.

In Maiduguri Diocese alone, the Catholic Church did not only lost Church buildings but also Medical Facilities, Schools, Convents, and Houses accommodating priests. Catholic Church is one Church....so call the name of a single Church, lets say LCCN or EYN and compare their individual lost to that of the Catholic Church.

Binani comes from a very influential wealthy and large family in Adamawa. If you can relate to these kind of people that you love them even if personally, they have never assisted you for once....Binani belongs to that type of people. Her philanthropy (i mean a very genuine one independent of Politics) is very very rare in the State. The incumbent Governor is loved too....so if any of them win, it is a win-win for Adamawa.

She is loved entirely within the State, just trust me as an indigene of the State. I don't do politics, so you may rule it that my insinuation is objective.

After being the Senate President for 2 tenures, he went back to the senate as an ordinary floor member. That's embarrassing!
As a Floor Member he couldn't utter words again because it seemed embarrassing. He was docile all through. How could he have addressed another senator as my president when he just left such position only to demote himself? He should have asked the likes of Ken Nnamani, Ayim Pius and many more.

Imagine a former Governor settling for the position of a commissioner. Where does such happen? Maturity & Integrity makes a man & not greed! Such a shame!

This Woman wey u dey see ehn, the only thing that will help Fintiri to win her is his positive antecedents during his 1st tenure. He paid salaries very timely (before 26th), promoted Government workers, and notably his developmental strides within the State. But 2027 if we are still alive to witness by the Grace of God, she will get a clean sheet.
