akinsadeez:End of discussion! You've said it all |
breadandbutter:Oga, please stop trolling on a serious thread like this. I take God beg you! |
See as you fine like ..... I for just escort you go na ![]() |
The husband is a grown man and should he able to make and stand by his own decisions. It doesn't help that he is being made to feel like an ingrate when the issue at hand hasn't bordered along the line of infidelity nor laziness on his part. The wife simply needs to grow since mum isn't always going to be around. Your husband becomes the default head and his opinion counts once you sign the dotted line It's also very irresponsible of the mother in-law to feel comfortable about the whole scenario as it played out |
Ralphlauren:I guess a good samaritan reading this thread that works at the bank DJ used can help confirm the balance on the account |
Ralphlauren:I think one of the reason why they couldn't at the time was because of the need to bury him immediately according to Islamic rights. We are of the impression that they are worried about having to cough out some money to pursue a death certificate that will only be used to withdraw money that might not be worthwhile. We didn't want to make demands because of the sensitivity hence the reason why we decided not to press further with regards to that issue |
Gboliwe:We certainly did but couldn't press as much as we would have done due to the challenging circumstances the parents are going through. It's always hard to stimulate such discussions when the death is still fresh in memory. You are right with your intuition. He is the absentee first born that suggested the alternative treatment (herbalist) that they received 50k for. We wanted their opinion so we can throw it to the house for ratification hence why we didn't bother shooting the ridiculous idea down at the time. We sort of anticipated that could happen hence why we specifically didn't disclose the balance during our meeting with them. The vibe we got from the meeting is that the mum will happily go with any decision the house makes but there is always a possibility of infighting should we hand over any cash to them as a family. |
rayo2002:The 100k was transferred to DJ as reported on this thread but the mum rejected it at the time as she was more concerned with getting DJ back to his feet. We were told during our last meeting with them that DJ withdrew some money from it but their should be a sizeable portion of that money left in the account. The main issue is they are unable to retrieve the money as they didn't bother getting a death certificate and that's needed to take possession of his liquid assets from the back. We were also reliably informed that the last 150k transferred to him on the day that he unfortunately died was used towards the burial arrangements |
@Ayinba1 I guess it's safe to conclude you are for option 1. Thanks for your input. TeHN will go with the general consensus on completion of the collation exercise by next friday |
@fitzk Thanks for the Info Here is what i think should be done/explored broken down into strategic plans Short Term 1) Halt the disposal of your essential goods 2) Provide contact details of where your broken down car is situated so we can verify and perhaps persuade the samaritan that's interested in helping to repair it 3) Provide details of the school that your kids are attending so those that are willing to help can pay directly to the school. Medium Term 1) You need to cultivate an habit of saving 50% of your earnings for rainy days such as this so i suggest you save about 50k per month from the projected earnings once the car is back on the road 2) You should look into establishing a small business worth around 300k from the next 6 months savings for your wife so you guys can have additional income Lomg Term 1) I know you've publicly admitted your mistakes with reference to the contract ish that got you into trouble but you really need to embrace honesty and integrity with all your dealings going forward. @gazzuzz How can we move your proposal forward Sir? |
Obinoscopy:That's one of the criteria attached to option 3 |
breadandbutter:Building a mosque will not address his primary wish (To ensure his mum can feed) nor is it part of the options presented Sir. Our specific issue with handing over a large sum of money is simply that it's possible for it to be diverted against the intended purpose. |
fitzk:I think you should post your response to me on this thread since there really isn't much to hide Openness will enhance your credibility and in turn open more closed doors |
Scumbags |
Chillis:The dollar is now a safe haven hence the recent strength. Swiss franc might be your best play for now |
I dey laugh ooo |
I no dey waste time imagine things wey no fit happen. I for know wetin i go do If to say na hot gyal wey double as ogbanje |
Chillisauce:Hope your trade is still on the +ve side? |
aljharem:It's our official language ijiot. |
temitemi1:You should at least learn how to construct simple english before you start displaying your lunacy online |
MMIA is still as ugly as Bleep. Airport Staff still professional beggars Tufiakwa! |
UjSizzle:How you take see am? Na only nipples I fit locate inside dark, this kain test na hard work for my eyes abeg ![]() |
eagleeye2:That makes 2 warriors out of how many? Why should they bring SS children into the world and hope they turn medical Warriors? I hope you know there are other issues aside from medical that SS children will experience through the course of their lives. There is the psychological and the consistent/constant fear of unknown derived from the uncertainties that comes along with having such |
Fawklicant:Probability is the likelihood that something may occur so it's not straight fraction like you put it. For every child they have, there is a 25% chance of he/she being an SS. So it's quite possible for all the children that they have to be SS. 25% is a whole lot to gamble with. Makes no damn sense! |
She took the common sense approach considering the fact that healthcare which isn't adequate is also not free in Nigeria. Why tempt faith when there is a high probability that tears will be the end result? |
Evina:Na lie! |
@OP What exactly is wrong with the car? How much was your daily/monthly income from the cab business? How long did you drive the cab before it packed up? Is your wife currently contributing to the household purse or she is a full time housewife. Can she learn a trade? I think your priority for now should be getting your kids back to school. I'm a little interested in the failed contract as i'd love to know specifically if you were dishonest at anytime during the process. |
psalmsjob:He also goofed by trying to appear smart without paying much attention to basic maths. 60% success rate of the test conducted if 65% of the PVC collection rate is simply 39 successful voters out of the 100 sample. Besides, it's only a sample. One sample and it would have been a worry if the percentage error was replicated across all test centres |
I just can't understand the statement that christians (pastors) make about the ONLY way to heaven is by accepting Jesus christ as a personal saviour. Why would God have us reach almost 8 billion then send about 75% to hell fire. Makes no sense whatsoever |
Ademusiwa1:You are technically saying your self acclaimed musiwa kingdom is also occupied by inhabitants of the evil nation so what gives? |
Hi All, This is a brief report of our meeting with DJ's family on Thursday. We (myself, r231 and mynd) met with the family (mum, dad and brothers) at their family house around mile 2. We were warmly received and they were very thankful for the intervention you guys tried to give Hammed. As expected, the loss is very painful and still very much in their memory but they are finding solace in the fact that he is no longer in pain and thus in a much better place. We notified them that there is still some money left unspent from donated funds. We specifically asked them to give us ideas on how they intend to utilise the funds when released to them so we can table all options to you guys for ratification. We specifically didn't tell them the exact amount left of the budget so they can come up with a wide variation of options for consideration and ratification by you guys. As much as the easiest thing to do is just hand over the balance to the next of kin/guardian, we owe it to hammed to ensure whatever we receive a seal of approval from him even though he is no longer with us. In light of this, we will table all options as advised by the family and add our own recommendation if any for you guys to ratify. We hope to provide this info alongside statement of account before the end of next week and we implore that you all contribute to the process so we can reach the best possible conclusion going forward. Lastly, we prayed with them and they have sent their thanks and blessings to each and every one of us that has worked to help Hameed Kind Regards TeHN |
