Fit2Rule: I feel so much pain when imagine people who are suppose to be reasonable become disillusioned. Nigeria is to intelligent and complicated to have an illiterate as a President! Like it or not. Even if Jonathan were to be replaced now, Buhari is not and can never be a replacement. All of you spewing trash in the name of your so called change, How would you feel having an NCE holder as a boss in your office if you are a degree holder? Of course you haven't imagined it. Now a man without a Secondary school certificate bossing on professors and professionals! God forbid! God forbid! Tufiakwa!! Slow dow your role Mr. Certificate is never a true measure of Intelligence My leader should be one with extreme integrity, dependable and hardworking with good values. Change is dynamic and it's certainly not going to stop after the next election. Nigerians should stop accepting mediocre leadership by way of accepting status quo and praying 24/7 for miracles. We vote these clowns into power so nothing stops us voting them out if they under perform. |

TonySpike: Do you know what is called right-of-way? Building a new railway track on an existing right-of-way is technically supposed to significantly reduce the overall project costs. This is a superior advantage the Abuja-Kaduna railway project has over Lagos light rail project.
For those who don't know, the Lagos light rail project is a dual project that also involves the reconstruction and upgrading of Federal highway from 6-lanes to 10 lanes. A BRT lane is also incorporated into this design. This is in addition to the light rail track been fitted alongside the road constructions. This project is the biggest infrastructural construction in West Africa. Right-of-way is being expanded to cater for the ambitious project hence leading to several demolition of structures and consequent compensations. The OP needs to study more on project management and cost analysis! OP's argument was dead on arrival as it was flawed and majorly driven by sentiment. He has stated severally that he is only interested in pointing out hypocrisy but of course he usually gets tangled in the process. He just doesn't get it that we have the right to criticise our president if we feel he is underperforming |

Matthewbriggs: No I ain't talking about commending. I am talking about giving a benefit of doubt, or rushing to defend his actions like you do to your pseudo change agents. Benefit of doubt when all signals point to one single thing? |

Matthewbriggs: Which do you prefers the man who can see his corruption... or the man who on the surfaces tells you he is a saint but deep down is even far more corrupt. Matthew, GEJ's body language in dealing with corruption is a very big deal. All the people you are referring to should face the wrath of the law if there is evidence to convict them. Oga Jona is our leader and his inactions as far as corruption is concerned will obviously have massive consequences in the long run |

Politics › Re: Why Are APC Railway Projects So Expensive? by jaybee3(m): 8:41pm On Feb 13, 2015 |
Matthewbriggs: I never said that you criticize for the fun of it bro.
I am simply stating that one common trait shared by most APC supporters is hypocrisy . They crucify GEJ for the same offences their masters commit with impunity.
Leme ask you a simple questions if the tables were turned would you start ... speaking all this turenchi you are spewing about Cost per kilometer etc. Yes i would. I've commended GEJ's effort on restructuring the public sector by streamlining the workforce and getting rid of duplication which in time should increase efficiency and reduce waste. This action is even more necessary in this tough economic times. He is doing what a responsible government should do. |

Matthewbriggs: Jaybee if it was GEJ the first thing you would do is shout he is corrupt, he is clueless. You never give him the benefit of doubt like you do to you pseudo agents of change. etc ... here you are rushing to make excuses for clear case of corruption and gross mis-management of funds. I've never criticised for the fun of it bro. Do you have evidence to back up your claim? We also have an ongoing crossrail project in the uk (118km costing about 16 billion pounds). You can't just compare cost per kilometre since the factors considered when costing and components aren't the same. You should know this bro! |

Good move!
Redundant bodies and quangos should always be merged in austerity times. Absolutely no point in wasting already tight resources.
However, i'm interested in finding out how they plan to support those affected. Are the going to give them good redundancy payments? Are they going to offer them the chance to get new skills via sponsored training? |

Even those that sorrounds him are already made corrupt people who keeps supporting him for their own self interest. Gej till 2019 Corruption can never be eradicated as it's directly linked with values. However, a GMB presidency will remove the impunity that has made corruption fashionable |

Hi All,
It's with great sadness to report that DJ has passed on. We received the information late this evening but couldn't get through to any of his family members to find out timeline of events.
We understand this wasn't the news any of us wanted as our hopes was kept alive by the possibility of God's intervention.
We are comforted with the fact that DJ was a true fighter who fought the deadly disease with all he had left in him. We do know he is now in a much better place
We appreciate this is a very trying period for all concerned so we plead that we allow the family grief in private.
We will continue to support them with prayers and update you guys as of when we receive new information
Regards
