aimanosi: I almost wept reading your story. it is the sad tale of life many found themselves. Somebody gave you the best advice which is getting to know God and Jesus Christ. That is the first step really, I am not talking religion here. The bible says you shall know the truth and it will set you free. It is not an instant thing for things to change in the physical I must let you know, but take the step and you will see changes, If you are born again just hold on to your confession. The bible sya anyone wavering is unstable and wont recieve. I prays fro the blessings of God upon your life. For your girlfriend and your baby, I pray for the guidance of God upon them. God bless you my friend crack and bull. the best advice so far is; obamamate: bros, you need to change your mindset for you to move forward. jobs are really scarce in nigeria because we do not produce any thing tangible. People still get jobs on merit. Try to improve yourself, read magazines, newspapers etc . Also look around you and see what you can do on your own without money or very little money. lots of nigerians are living well without being involved in crime/paid jobs. Even the simple call centre girl makes reasonable money to keep body/soul together. Do not be shy or ashamed on what ever you decide to do. |

hammer07: Good morning y'all, this major shakeup to the financial sector may have been necessary but i would have been more convinced that there's no hidden agenda if audits had been completed on ALL 24 banks before a decision like this was made.i sincerely hope Lamido is not acting out someone's script! If not,he should ensure that these 5 banks are protectd from hostile takeovers by selfish cartels. I also expect him to be very visible over the weekend to prevent a run on these banks on monday! Management of this situation is key at this point. Are you suggesting he waits for 'em banks to collapse before taking action? The risk identified by the stress test was probably 2 severe to sit on until the process was completed. |

Extracts from the Independent website How the mighty are falling. The rise and fall of Sir Fred Goodwin is the classic tale of vaulting ambition which o'erleaps itself, of hubris brought low by the very qualities which led to such stellar success. After eight extraordinary years that have seen Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) transformed from a dully reliable regional institution to the fifth largest bank in the world, Sir Fred's departure as chief executive is a condition of the lifeline offered by the bank's rescuers from the Treasury. On the way out: Felled banking giants *Sir Tom McKillop The Royal Bank of Scotland's chairman will leave at the annual general meeting in April without a pay-off. He is out because he presided over the board that endorsed the ABN Amro deal. Critics say that his lack of banking experience made him unable to stand up to his chief executive. Sir Tom, from Dreghorn, Ayrshire, was chief executive of AstraZeneca until 2006. *Lord Stevenson The HBOS chairman is also being held to account for the collapse of the 300-year-old institution. The cross-bench peer will forgo his salary of £710,000 and, like his chief executive, will leave when the Lloyds TSB deal is finalised. He is suffering for his board's strategy to grow through over- reliance on the UK property sector and wholesale funding. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/analysis-and-features/the-rise-and-fall-of-fred-the-shred-960336.html |

Adam Applegarth - CEO Northern Rock David Baker - Deputy chief executive Keith Currie - Treasury Director Andy Kuipers - Sales and Marketing Director
Fred Goodwin - CEO RBS Tom McKillop - Chairman
Are you bleeping high? You think they would put money in those firms and leave the same guys that messed it up to manage it? @ Sag, It seems you are on a one man mission to skool this loons. Hope you going to save the remaining fire in ya belly for footie today sha cos we need you marshalling our defense. Just to add to the quote, the UK government even went as far as harassing the RBS board so they can reverse fred the shred's excessive pension pot. |

dunno and don't give a Bleep as Nigeria's problem is not always one of leadership direction as Nigeria is being ran by mafias that will only go away if exterminated. Anyone can reach the summit (by rigging) but will be frustrated by the crippled infrastructure/failed state called Nigeria. |

whitelexi: I know, but when it happens over and over again, different people with different allegations that are just wrong, u want to know the origin. Its not the first time thoniaslim has accused me before - the other time someone posted on a thread and she accused me of being that person - even after the Moderators came out to say it wasn't me. . .
I get so sick of all these things, but hey, it wont stop me from posting or being myself. They can all rot in hell for all i care now. Agreed it's kinda hard to exercise self restraint when the odds are stack against. fact still remain nothing will ever get sorted or clarified as shit started outside of nairaland (no witness) and should def end outside of dramaland. |
