Some after asking the usual where are you, you'll be like I am at balogun street the next thing you will hear is "ahh I don't know the place just follow your map".. While the street is the next Street to theirs, I keep wondering the essence of asking me where I am if you can't direct me after all. It's worst with all these ones slaying on empty brains. I see no reason why a rider should also ask for the driver's location cos the information (eta) needed is on their app too. It's just that most are not enlightened, they should be able to locate you on their app if they look closely. exactly, but I don't mind a rider calling me after making an order if they'd be respectful n calm sha. The driver already knows where the rider is. If the pickup location is different from what d map says, I believe the rider will mention it.
I'll rather ask where the driver is and do the time estimation myself than ask how long it'll take to get here. So I disagree that the question is annoying. Mind you, not all riders properly use the gps function of the phone. Some even input a totally wrong street while others a wrong pick up point. Some will be at ikeja and be requesting ride from a point in mushin, meanwhile mushin was suppose to be their supposed destination. If you've driven on uber you would have seen all sorts 3 Likes |

connectgt: Good day my brothers and sisters in this forum. I am about to commence my Australia Permanent Residence Visa application. I understand my credentials must be assessed by VETASSESS. I have a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and a Professional Diploma in Human Resources Management from Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) both in Nigeria. Please, I need clarification in the following areas; 1.) Am I expected to submit transcript for both the B.sc and professional Diploma or the B.sc would suffice? 2.) What VETASSESS address should be used for requesting transcript for Nigerian applicants? 3.) How much is the cost of assessment? What I saw on their website is much o... $880. That’s approximately N237,600 for assessment alone.
If your eyes are fixed on prices you won't forge ahead. Some did assessment for 1000$ some over 1k. Visa fee is just over 3700$, not to discourage you, but you need not allow fees set your bar. Cross the bridges when you get there, although you must plan ahead. The good thing is its doable- coming from someone who also had fears of fees from onset but I kicked my fear in the nuts 4 Likes |

This move is definitely more positive than not. Irrespective of the stance of the new minister on immigration matters ( which is very moderate by the way, compared to our familiar person 'PD'), stripping immigration and citizenship from Home affairs portfolio allows for more efficiency in the department. Putting the two under one minister was just too much power.
Anyways, we hope for better news for hopeful immigrants especially from this forum. Last financial year, there were only about 600 Nigerians that got permanent residence, which included those onshore already (Apologies , can't find and post the source link at the moment). This does not favorably compare with those from India which was about 30,000. This is why we need to continue to help each other with information in any little way we can. Lets keep the zeal burning guys! As for the Indians, you can give it to them. No body waka reach them for the whole world |

Akachukwu123: Tasmanian Government Nomination Recommendation – NOT OFFERED
We refer to your application for Tasmanian Government nomination of a Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489). Based on the information you have provided, the Tasmanian Government has not agreed to support your application for state nomination.
In considering your application, the Department has taken into account all information provided with your application in the context of other applications we have received, and the number of nominations remaining for offer. Based on the information provided, the Department’s decision not to offer you state nomination was primarily due to the following factor(s):
The Tasmanian Government is not satisfied that your application adequately meets the minimum nomination requirements. In order to be eligible for nomination under Category 3A – Overseas Applicant (TSOL) for the Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489), we need to be satisfied of your employability in the state. The employment research and employability statement you have provided with your application is currently insufficient for us to be satisfied that you meet this requirement.
As you may be aware, the Department can only nominate a limited number of applicants across the various state nomination programs as numbers are capped by the Department of Home Affairs. The Department’s decision to offer an applicant state nomination is subject to multiple factors such as the number of applicants,as well as the quality of the applications received.
This non-offer does not preclude other State or Territory Governments from sponsoring you for a visa.
You can lodge a new state nomination application for the Department’s consideration. However, please be aware that it would be unlikely that you would be offered a state nomination if you are unable to address the reasons and circumstances surrounding this non-offer.

I got this email this morning. Can anyone advice on the next thing i should do Sorry about this delay, but I tell you delay is not denial. Believe me I know how it feels, I have been there. You need to tackle the concern head on, as well as clean up any other loophole that might have been in previous application. I strongly believe the first thing the case officer will consider in assessing your nomination application is this employability issue before settlement funds and others. This is the most important part, because it is what qualifies overseas applicant for the category. ●What's your occupation nominated? ●how many vacancy adverts did you submit? ●hope the vacancy had similar/closely related titles if not d same to your occupation? Comb multiple websites for job vacancies Seek, indeed, aurora, jobs each etc. You might find d same vacancy on different site, while you would find some very ackward vacancy that could help on some low-brow websites. So you need to search far and wide. Expect to give them at least 7 vacancies, do not settle for 5 or even 6. Your employment statement again could have shot you in the leg. How did you match your experience and qualification to each advert? Even if you find an advert that you don't have experience in the requirement for the roles, but it's still in your field/discipline, you can state how school courses, IT/internship have prepared or equipped you with requisite skill-just like you have no work experience at all. N.B. what's your occupation nominatedLemme see how I can be of help 4 Likes |

Hence my question. If they person studied estate management for 5 years in a tier two institution,(or 4 years in a tier 1 institution) then it will be assessed as bsc which is good for skill level 1. I think it's more about the certificate issued first before the amount of years used to obtain such certificate. Don't you think? |
