I am not surprised.Simps are like that.Common sense is not common. I too was raised in a traditional family where cooking is believed to be woman's exclusive.l grew with that mentality till I finished secondary School as a day student But I later learnt the hard way when I was alone in the University ,NYSC,and thereafter. Knowing how to cook is a big advantage to man. Give us this day our daily bread ...we pray in our Lord's prayer. It is embarrassing if one could not prepare his meal for whatever reason. |
Haykinx98:If you really want to know, draw closer to the Catholic Church. |
midolian:You said it as it is. May I add that what Bichi and his ilks have been doing is the whole essence of desperation for "change" in 2015 & "next levrel" in 2019. And once anybody from the south or middle belt mentions restructuring or secession, they would try to literally devour the person raw. Only God knows for how long a house built on poor foundation (injustices) would stand. |

Like #Sai Baba, Like #O to gee, Like #Edo no be Lagos.... A power slogan can truly change the narratives in political circles. |
[quote author=SecretSpy666 post=94082921]Greetings Nairalanders, I want to seek for you peoples opinions regarding my family challenges. I'm from a broken home. My parents divorced when I was a child of two years. I'm the only child from their union. My father and mother abandoned me and remarried to other spouse each. I passed through hell growing up with relatives who insulted me with all kinds of names and I was treated like a slave to their own children. Because of public outcry about my dehumanizing treatment, my father came to village and took me to the city. It was from fry pan to fire experience as my father's new wife was maltreating me. At a point, my father asked me to leave his house that since my arrival, he don't have peace with his wife. I packed to the house of a relative and work in a block industry to help myself. Most times, I slept in a CAC church close to the relative house as the two-room apartment is not enough for his family. My mother never care if I was alive. She never call me nor reply to letter I sent through someone to her. I continued working in the block industry and started a part time programme. I completed the part time programme and did my NYSC and master degree. I got a job with University of Ado Ekiti with the help of a course mate, managing myself now and surprisingly my mother and father started calling me often. Both of them have 6 children each with their respective second spouse. Mother want his son to come and live with me, I refused and my father too have been requesting for financial assistance which I also refused. I don't want to have anything to do with both of them. My father's daughter recently called me to help her with school fees, I bluntly told her to ask her mother what she did to me and caught the call. Since then, she never call. I'm alone and have just two friends. I don't have family. All of them calling now are just looking for what to get from me, not that they care about me. My mother never call me once to ask about my welfare even when I sent my phone number to her through her relative. I wrote WAEC, completed degree course before she started calling me and it is only to request for one thing or other. I'm planning to get married without telling them and build a separate family. [/quote If everything is truly as presented here, you are not indebted to either of your parents. A friend in need is a friend indeed. A father in need is a father indeed. A mother in need is a mother indeed. A brother/sister in need is the brother/sister indeed. Indeed.com. |
There is power Mighty in the Cross of Christ,if that is really what somebody is invoking. However, Christ Jesus watches our hearts to see if the hearts meditations and wishes conform to the expression of the mouth. |
Congratulations. Thanks be to God. |
UbongCR7:No sane person supports divorce ordinarily, but when life is threatened,or when infidelity sets in with no plan to repent on the side of the unfaithful partner, then divorce/annulment becomes the last resort. |
euniselfyahoo:May God have mercy on us. |
TheRealProphet:You are in order. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 17:5 "Woe to the person who puts his trust in man" |
Take everything to God in prayer asking for God's forgiveness in whatever way you have offended God and be ready for amendments. Get a good lawyer to take it up legally. Pray to God of justice for justice in the matter. Best wishes. |
A very big challenge to other varsities in Nigeria, especially East of the Niger. Is it that other varsities don't have quality teachers, or is all about infrastructural and utilitiess challenges ![]() UNN,the Lions den has been challenged oooooo and lions are never found slumbering. |
I join all the league of all saying MAY GOD BLESS THE OKADA MAN. No matter how sinful the society may be ,we tgan God there are still some God-fearing fellows in the society to the glory of God. Congratulations to the business woman. |
nineone:Humanity are generally subject to vagaries of life, including conflicts and wars, sicknesses, pestilence, natural disasters and famine. There were records of all of that in several places in the Holy Bible .No part of the world is an el-Dorado without life challenges.Life of man (on Earth) is like a warfare(Job 7:1) However ,at God's own appointed time,He puts an end to life challenges,as it pleases Him. Be guided, please. |
Thanks be to God the Father Almighty. The figure is now two digits, far below a hundred. To God be the glory. |
Serious indictment on successive administrations of UNN. Fundamentally caused by outdated hostel structure. Modern hostels have bathroom and toilet attached to each room,so that the students would be responsible for cleaning of their toilets and bathroom. A situation where multitude of students from overcrowded rooms gather at one end of the hostel called toilet would produce the ugly scenarios posted here, especially in the absence of adequate supply of water, cleaning materials and disinfectants ,and even poorly motivated cleaners. Too bad. |
guru90:Don't talk what you don't know. We all live by God's grace, not because we are better than those struck by thunderstorm. Thunder kills even innocent children. |
joyandfaith:Government signed mou on relativity with doctors in 2014 ![]() ??So what happened to the relativity put in place at the debut of CONMESS and CONHESS under President Yar'adua and Prof Babatunde Osotimehin (Minister of Health then) (may their gentle soul rest in peace) ![]() ![]() Injustice does not stand the test of time. |
ridwanlawal:Well regulated herbs is even better. |
Racoon:A country where history, laws ,justice and agreements are not taken seriously will definitely find it difficult to make steady progress as a people. |
The Western world should keep some of their useless laws to themselves. |
Iceyjayzz:The only comment that made sense here. |
The quest for more is a life long struggle . The more you grab, the more you look forore. Vanity of vanity. All is vanity |
Amotolongbo:No be small thing oooooo |
heykims:Enugu has been recruiting non-indigenes long before indigeneship policy by some other states started . |
luvissweet2f:What is the problem, please ? |
The man is one of those quota system type of human beings in government house, who does not even know that landmass is already part of the factors used to allocate resources |
NOI is a goal. Thanks be to God. Congratulations NIGERIA. |
