Renovate house and buy car in 6 months. Is it not that same agency wey my cousin be dey work? Their salary is just average, slightly better than Ministry. Most of their young ambitious staff are leaving. Overrated piece of crap. Its an incredible story. |
Phones › Re: We Should All Be Making Whatsapp Calls Instead Of Regular Phone Calls by jclassiq(m): 12:07pm On Nov 24, 2021 |
Crystalom3: I think it'll be more cost efficient for everyone to switch to internet calls.
They are less expensive and for the most part more stable than regular phone calls.
Internet calls of 30 minutes cost less than N50 while video calls of the same length cost less than N100.
Regular phone calls cost twice as much. For N100 you might not think much about it but instead of spending N1k you are spending N2k and instead of N10k recharge, you are spending N20k on the average.
Internet calls not only is cheaper but will solve the problem of double recharge. Nowadays we spend more to buy data. After that, we still recharge for regular airtime to use for phone calls.
Internet calls cuts that cost by almost 90%.
I think it's better if we can adopt this as a trend and use regular phone calls for emergencies. Do you consider timing? Not everyone lives on the internet every minute of the day, so how do you reach them on your own time? |

Crime › Re: Professor Felix Anyaegbunam Arrested For Defiling 12-Year-Old Pupil In Ebonyi by jclassiq(m): 12:44pm On Nov 22, 2021 |
PoliteActivist: He didn't concoct anything. That's exactly what the girl said because that's what happened. Happens all the time. Exact same thing happened in 1885 (see excerpt below, a true story narrated by Frank Harris.) ------------------
One day in mid-winter there was a new deve- lopment. Smith was in doubt how to act and con- fided in me. He had found Professor Kellogg, in whose house he lived, trying to kiss the maid, Rose, entirely against her will: Smith was emphatic on this point, the girl was struggling angrily to free herself, when by chance he interrupted them.
I relieved Smith's solemn seriousness a little by roaring with laughter: the idea of an old Professor (who is also a pastor) trying to kiss a maid by force filled me with amusement: "What a fool the man must be!" was my judgment; Smith took the high moral tone.
'Think of his disloyalty to his wife in the same house", he said, "and then the scandal if the girl talked and she's sure to talk!"
"Sure not to talk", I corrected, "girls are afraid of the effect of such revelations; besides a word from you asking her to shield Mrs. Kellogg will ensure her silence."
"Oh, I cannot advise her", cried Smith, "I will not be mixed up in it: I told Kellogg at the time, I must leave their house, yet I don't know where to go! It's too disgraceful of him! His wife is really a dear woman!"
On Smith's urging, I spoke to Rose. "Oh Rose", I said, "Professor Smith has been telling me of your trouble: but you ought not to be angry: for you are so pretty that no wonder a man wants to kiss you" "There's only one thing, Rose", I went on: "the story would hurt Mrs. Kellogg if it got out and she's not very strong, so you must say nothing about it, for her sake." "I'm not likely to tell", said Rose: "I'll soon forget all about it: but I guess I'd better get another job: he's liable to try again though I gave him a good hard slap", and she laughed merrily. Buy Rose couldn't have been 12 years old i am sure. |

It's a damn shame. The devil is a liar.
But what the fvck is wrong with this reporter? How do you concoct rubbish and say the young girl said it? So a 12 year old girl slapped a big man of that stature and "pushed him out of my room?" What is wrong with you? Is that how you report? Quacks and liars everywhere. |

SundayNightGist: Honestly, I used to believe some things belonged to the red light district. Or is it just me? Seeing that I was raised a church boy with little to no experience chiking babes, I couldn’t imagine myself ever dating a girl that now makes me think twice. Like, am I now mad or what? How did I get here?
Since I met this my new girl, it’s just been as if the veil of "ignorance" is beginning to fall off my face; abi guy man don dey spoil go be that ni?
Or how else can I explain to this honorable forum that my current girlfriend, though a manager at her company, likes to wear waist-beads? I mean she even wears it to work!
Although I somehow like the sight of it on her waist, I just can’t get the idea of thinking she might be a corporate olosho out of my head. This thing is sowing seeds of mistrust in me and I really don’t know what to do again. And it’s not like I haven’t told her. Everytime I do she will just look at me with a side-eye, rub my head, and laugh briefly. Shey I never carry load wey no be my own like this? Abi na my mind? Make e no be say na person glory dey on the line so o. The thing dey fear me walahi.

I swear, when I lived at Orile Iganmu between '02 and '07, there was a boy child in my compound of about 2-3 years that had this challenge. He was always crying out in pains, and always scratching his entire body. The parents were frustrated because there didn't seem to be any solution to the problem. As an emotional person, i was always close to shedding tears seeing the boy's pain and his parents frustration. At some point it got so bad that his whole body turned into sores -- much like Job in the bible. This made me extremely sad because I couldn't help him. But i always made sure to carry him when i can, with all the open sores and the fluid that usually come out of them -- and that's how I realize that it's not contagious.
But lo and behold, these things suddenly started to clear up. I was as stunned as i was happy. The parents didn't tell me what happened, and i didn't bother to ask. All i know was that my lovely and precious "Bobby" was healed of that mysterious skin illness and he was transforming into a very handsome young man full of life and vitality. No more painful cries. No more parents frustration. I pray that your daughter be healed just like my boy Bobby. Amen. |
