spicy v: You must have a nice catchy business card. Also, endeavour to reward any client that lands you a worthy deal. Let them know what they stand to gain by telling someone else about you, (maybe a significant discount on their next order). This a beautiful one, will try it out. Thanks for the advice you gave me when l got ban on this thread. A big thanks to U. |
l had a friend post my product on her facebook wall with her contact. For every sale made through her contact she gets a commission. ls a dead end deal because l never come in contact with her buyers though am the one that owns the product. The picture however is getting my product to as many people as possible. ls all about awareness from my point of view. |

fckyourman: I feel so honored to be the first comment. All of my hard work and dedication has paid off. Getting the top comment has been a dream of mine for many years, and i would like to thank those who have helped me along the way. First and foremost i would like to thank god for giving me this opportunity. Next i would like to thank my parents. I want to thank my friend Josh Arcaro, for being really skinny and always there for me. I would also like to thank my pet tadpole for surviving against all odds for over a week. Next i would like to thank the squirrel that lives in my backyard for climbing trees because that gives me inspiration that i need to get through the day. This is a special moment in my life and i would like to thank any of my unmentioned friends and family that have helped me along the way. This moment will be a moment that i will never forget. I just remembered a few other people i would like to thank; Facebook the fish i caught in the third grade, my light in my room bc i wouldn't be able to see the keyboard without it, the internet for letting me go on Facebook my house because without it i would be homeless, and last but not least i would like to thank all the people out there that actually took time out of their day to read this. I cannot stress how much of a big deal to me this is. I have been trying to be the first comment on a post for years, but that has not been possible until this amazing day. Hopefully my good luck will continue, but this is undoubtedly a rare occasion. If you asked me how i did this, i would say, you can achieve anything u set your mind on. To all the kids out there reading this, i would like to tell them to follow their dreams. Being the top comment is amazing, thank you everyone and for your likes.your not first to comment, sorry please edit your post and try harder next time cos nearly cannot win GOLD medal ask mexico. |

mk82: Who are you please? I refrain from trading words with you. I have answered every question so far. I have even replied two people today who asked for this information through email free of charge. it's a trick I discovered n I believed we should not put it on an open forum.Bros no 2 vex, wen ur a victim of somethings ur become very suspicious of many things. |
Incrizz: I use the broadcast feature on bbm to my advantage. I don't mean just BCing an advert to all your contacts. That's different and good too.wow you guys are tiring the thick wall of marketing with your marketing innovations, this is real street marketing am proud of you guys. |
dav8id: All road lead to redeemed camp along keffi abuja road for holy gosh program.when is the programme kicking off |
bodashee: @ jdlight and Amethone. Thanks so much. I'm encouragedWe are learning from you my dear, the thanks goes to you and do not forget to open the thread on your business journey ooo. We are eagerly waiting. |
mayorall: No wahala sha. When I get quality goods, I refer fellow importers to my seller. There will be agreement of certain % I will be getting per what my friends bought. My % is given as discount on my next order.wow, l get the big picture now. You get a discount for referring customers to the seller. Benefits are mostly in discount on previous purchase. |
mayorall: Yes boss. What your friend pay is what you get. I use this method in the reverse direction to buy goods at cheaper price from my clients abroad. How do you use this method in reverse direction to buy from abroad. l cant wait to know. |
mayorall: I am an importer. Basically on a particular tablet.Ck that's lovely, we are trying to see how we can apply your marketing strategy in other forms of businesses. l love your great contribution. thanks, if any other marketing idea comes up don't fail to let us try it out. |
onpoint007: Nudie (clean yaa yansh! in Yoruba)local name will hamper expansion, don't you think so? |
mayorall: Remember its two methods. Different goods has different quality or accessories. The price of Garri now isn't like that of last year. White Blackberry bold 5 isn't sold same price as the black. Let your seller know the shipping charge has been increased and the quality isn't same as the one his friend bought. The one you have now is of high quality. Let him know he will get discount price in his next goods. By the time he comes back, he would be independent, no one referred him. So you sell to him at the original price. You mean you add the referrer fee to his/her first purchase and then knock it off in subsequent sells? |
spicy v: Thanks, hope you're good.i will love to see you revisit this thread: CEOs, Business Owners And Intending Biz Owners; Let's Interact. |
amtheone: Don't be discouraged. I past through this phase you are in right now. I know exactly how it is. I would advise you not to worry so much about how your product will be known. Keep working on how to improve the quality of your product and give utmost attention on packaging then find a way of advertising it online, you will be shocked at the response. And also give room for others to be a part what you are doing such as marketers and distributors.that is beautiful we are waiting. amtheone: U see my brother, any business that has to do with production is quite sensitive. If u are into production of any products, you have to be very careful to avoid running at a loss.thanks your insight is noted. |
Incrizz: Mayorall, I am reading and getting enlightened. But I haven't totally understood your point and I want to. Your explanation is not really clear enough so that one can apply it effectively. You get..?Bros you beat me to it. Its beginning to get exciting with everyday application of various marketing strategies many of us are applying in their businesses. please do not keep mute, share yours. |
Trut: Name your Tissue brand "Oga At The Top"Hmm oga at the top ke. how e come relate na? Incrizz: "AnusDelight"hmm anusdelight! but fragrance no oo, cost increament. |

mk82: @hanlak n @henrimoto,I can see u guys are active in this thread.Pls I'll like you to publish books n give me feedback. That's the purpose of our interaction here.don't let us just b gisting. There are more active people here than you think sir. maybe when we put a copy together we will be throwing our questions. |
mayorall: Lols. I dont sell common goods.Bros what do you sell? |
Chigorkizz: Nation's cup toilet rollBros hmm, so you want this company to only sale during nation cup. |
Business from my observation is all about volume. The greater the out put volume, the greater the profit made. l see this as the reason small scale and medium scale companies hardly survive beyond five years of being in operation. For instance, if a producer makes 1 naira per product produced. He will make 1 million naira if he produces 1 million goods. What if he produces 500 goods, he only makes 500 naira. Taking all expenses out you see the one producing less number of goods will not stay long in competition let alone giving customers gift or the like. From the above observation, a ruthless competitor can easily put the small /medium scale producers out of business by may giving incentives to buyers. What do you think? |
bodashee: I appreciate the op for thinking of a thread such as this. I look forward to gaining useful knowledge from this thread. I finished school in July and I've started a new business (called Touch of Bodashee) which supplies chin chin, crusted groundnuts, coconut chips, cookies at events, parties, and even to coporate organization who order for their staff) alongside the sale of clothing that I was involved in right from school days. I prefer to call myself a hustler (not a ceo). But I've noticed that for enterpreneurs that are just starting out like me, its quite a big deal breaking into the markets, especially if you don't really know people that can give you referals to their friends and family, and the small start-up capital also doesn't put one in a place where you can engage in elaborate advertisements. Pls I'd like your advise on this.Bravo for the insight. |
mayorall: It doesn't affect my profit since its not my money. This sound more like outsourcing, l still don't get it. The goods is yours which the buyer pays for under free shipping (fob) and you still tip the referer of this customer all this from the profit of a goods whose price is well known in the market? |
mayorall: Free on board. I only use it to deceive buyers. Which means the price is only for the product, no shipping charge, accessories, etc.How do you make profit? |
leverage12: LIST BUILDING is the act of getting your Customers and interested prospects Name, Address, Phone numbers etc. Look for a way to be Generous and you will make Money with your LIST, offer FREE THINGS in form of BONUS, make your Customers understand that you are collecting their details so you get reach them when you have PROMOTIONAL OFFERS. Make use of special days like Birthday, Esther, xmas etc to reach the People on your LIST. Make them understand that since its a day of celebration you are giving them maybe one tenth of whatever they buy, but make sure you calculate your profit before giving anything out. Make them understand tactfuly that if they can introduce their Friends to buy a particular amount of Product either gradually or at once they have a gift. People like FREE THINGS, by the time they find out you are doing these things they will make sure they alway buy from you and introduce their Friends and Relatives. With time you will have more Customers than you handle and you will have no other option than to expand.Your marketing strategy is priceless dear. l love it for real. Thanks for sharing this here. |
