ufobabe: i wish a child can bear d mum's name. All d man does is to put it and spend money. D woman will carry, travail, breedfeed and look after d child.
My xperience was wonderful. My husband was telling d drama because i cldnt remember. D whole labour started at midnite. We both cldnt sleep because i was hitting him as d pain was coming. I began to votim uncontrollably. My hubby was packing d rubbish. We final got to d hospital at 4am and d nurse told me dat my labour has nt started. I shouted, then wat is d pain an going thru called? She no answer me. We went and sat at d reception. According to my hubby, d main action started. I began to turn around, dancing, though i lik dance, bt na labour ajasko. He said, i almost naked myself at one time. I attacked him severally, almost bite off his ear. At a point, i cldnt bear, told d nurse i want to pupu. She took me into d labor room and checked me. Called my hubby to bring my bag dat d baby is set to come out. At abt 9:30am, i pushed and a baby girl jumped out without tear. See, i told my mum dat i owe her a gift. She gav birth to 9 wit dis kind of pain. Glory be to God Almighty.
Gbosah for all the women in this world, we don gree. Una too much.

tolukem: @JDlight there's been a thread like this on front page months back, I read it when I was pregnant, twas. A good read and funny too cos most of the experiences was from the men kiss,
Wow, l wasn't aware.

but do men give birth too.

We need experience from the women that bear the blunt of the real experience. The men tell us what they have to pass through because they got their wives pregnant.

ameenahz: Sorry madam, i think you misunderstood your doctor friend. Yes, sex during the last phase of pregnancy is encouraged as it helps to induce labour in cases of post datism and (supposedly) makes labour easier. But it isnt compulsory. The vaginal/ birth canal is never 'blocked' due to pregnancy so there is always a way for the baby to pass. What do you think happens to women whose husbands are not around during the last phase of pregnancy or ladies whose pregnancies were denied? They all deliver thru cs? There are many indications for c-section, lack of intimacy is not 1 of them
Thank God you were handy to shove this fever away.

when we dey pity una, una dey talk more punishment for una self in the name of delivery.

God l kneel down dey thank you say e no dey compulsory to get intimate with ones wife during pregnancy.

Nikkygold4life: My first pregnancy made me very beautiful, I'm slim and fair naturally but I became white and I was glowing. Due to my petite stature, I feared giving birth to a big baby so I controlled my beverage intake unless d craving was very intense. The pregnancy went well but as I approached my due date, I became so heavy and uncomfortable with d weight. I search thru d net on how to induce labour naturally as its two days to my EDD, I found answers.
First - excercise
Second- intimacy with my husband
I started climbing a mattress in our guest room as if it was a stair case, I kept doing dt at intervals, then in the night,I asked my hubby for us to get intimate, he pitied me but did it cos I insisted. I wasn't pleasurable but I endured, lo and behold, in d morning of the next day around 11am, I felt like I want to wee, wen I was cleaning up, I saw mucus with blood stain, I knew labour has stared,my mucus plug has been removed. D contractns strtd coming but not painful and I was timing it as the Dr said its wen its 5mins apart dt one sld start coming, but I dint wait for dt as it was going to around 9pm and as a first time parent, I dint want to take chances. We got to UCH and d pain has strtd coming but still bearable, wen I was checked, I dilated on 2cm so I still have a long way to go. To cut the story short, at a point, I cldnt bear d pain anymore, I was shouting in tongues and begging d baby to come, I made nail pattern on my husband's hands while holding him during d contraction pain, it wasn't untill d next morning dt I put to bed 7.11, my bouncing baby boy. I lost all feelings, cldnt even feel joy or sorry, d dr sew up my episiotomy and was taked to d ward, it wasn't until I slept and woke up dt I felt dis joy of motherhood. Pains from d episiotomy set in in day but I knwe at d back of my mind dt it wasn't for ever, it will surely end some day. My second journey is for another time...

luvissweet2(f):
I'm back!
So, my 2nd missionary journey:
First of all, please pregnant mothers, once u get close 2 ur due date(as frm 36weeks) exercise as much as u can. Take long walks and avoid staying in one place 4 too long. Don't let ur hubby "over-pamper" u it is 4 ur own good(trust me). Especially if u've had a baby b/4. And plssss pray 4 a safe delivery!
My pregnancy was 39weeks and one day and I was in the office. Around 12 noon, I felt dis mild contraction! I knew it was d beginning of labour so I immediately got my pen an paper and started timing my contractions. I noticed it was irregular, I called hubby on d fone 2 tell him what was going on. He immediately asked if he should come and pick me and I said "no" nobody knew I was in labour as it was still d early stage and could last 4 sometime. My office is up d stairs, so I used d stairs 4 my exercise. My hubby couldn't wait any longer and came 2 pick me around 3pm. We went home and watched d contractions. Drs will tell u during ur antenatal visits 2 wait until d contractions are 5mins apart b4 coming to d hospital.(meanwhile, my contractions were still irregular). We watched and timed d contractions all thru d night, and it was still irregular so we went 2 d hospital early d next morning(Tuesday). D dr examined me and I was not even dilated @all! He now asked me if I kept exercising like he advised me 2 do? I said yes. He told me dat my labour was not progressing becos my baby's head had not "engaged" but dat it is common with subsequent pregnancies. But that once a woman goes into labour d baby's head shld start engaging. I began 2 panic. We started calling family and relations. Dey all came 2 pray 4 me and some of dem left. My sister in-law dragged me by d hand and forced me on a very long walk(almost 1 hour) we came back frm d walk and I was certain dat d baby's head had engaged only 4 d Dr 2 check and d baby was still where he was and I was still not dilated!!! Our fear was confirmed when our Dr said he we shld start preparing ourselves 4 a Caesarian section if labour hadn't progressed by d next day so dat d baby won't go into distress. I cried and cried and everybody even d nurses came 2 console me. My hubby was helpless...
On Wednesday morning I went into the theatre. I was operated upon and my 2nd baby boy was delivered health and strong @3.8kg. Then d real horror began! Pain, pain, pain! I began 2 wonder why some women opted 4 caesarian shocked I couldn't cough, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't sneeze, chai! I was in pains!!! My BP started 2 rise... I was given analgesics @ due times which soon wore off and d pain started all over again. Worst of all, I couldn't eat nor drink anything as I was waiting 2 pass gas b4 I ate something.
To cut d long story short, I'm here 2 tell d story( to d glory of God) and so will every pregnant woman out dia tell her own story someday. Amen.
Cheers!
Can a mother bewitch her child after this kind of thing. l can't stop thinking what is wrong with nigerian prophets and prophetes. lf you no dey do well dey go talk say na your mama dey hold you.
PropertiesRe: Building Collapse:Causes, Prevention And Remedies by jdilight(m): 8:38am On Nov 23, 2013
There are numerous factors that contribute to building collapse, highlighting the major ones :

Soil test: This is the first thing that should be done before any structural design is carried out. Hardly is soil test conducted in nigeria before structures are set up. Soil test will help the engineer design a structure the soil will carry.

Structural design : Here the civil engineer comes in, but the architecturer has taken our job. They draw and duplicate previous structural designs for new building without a look at the soil that will support the structure, the purpose of the structure etc.

Greed: The owner of the structure may pay for a standard work but the site engineer will cut corners. This happened in one of the structures l supervised at chevron drive. l made enermies because l didn't support the use of sub standard materials and sales of materials we were to use for the job.

This problem has many faces like amoeba, it can come from the owner, engineer, manufacturers, artistians etc.

We just try to plug our own end.

2good: Can you share more light on your modelling with respect to how you consider the effect of the exposed surface area of structures in the model? I am a practicing Drilling Engineer and know that when designing a system, the force acting on a system is very much dependent on the surface area so I will be interested to know the components of your model so we can discuss like Engineers and not spiritualist.

To give you an example, in an oil well, we know that pressure increases with depth and at any point in time, the pressure of fluid in the well is giving by P=density * gravity * height.
The exposed area of pipe in hole is given by Area= pi*(OD^2-ID^2)/4. (where OD=outer pipe diameter & ID= inner pipe diameter)
Also, Force= Pressure * Area
The bouyancy force acting on the pipe from below is the product of the area and pressure. we can see that as the ID of the pipe becomes smaller, then the area increases which means that the pipe will experience a much bigger bouyancy force.
To go a little more complex, when you have a situation we call a blow out(i.e flow of formation fluid into a well), you can get a very high pressure to the tune of more than 10,000 psi (689.29 bar) which is an extremely high pressure, while the actual force(bouyancy) acting on the pipe from below due to the influx, is still below the weight of the pipe in the well because the bouyant force pushing the pipe up is dependent on the cross sectional area of the pipe i.e the ticker the pipe, the bigger chances of being forced out of the hole as compared to a thinner pipe. For very thick pipes, there is a bigger chance of the pipe being forced out of the well when it comes in contact with thesame 10,000 psi pressure because the net force acting on it from below can just suddenly go above the tension of the pipe( pipe weight)
We go to school to learn how to reason with brain and so I appreciate it when people that claim to be Engineers/ Scientist show some evidence of their claim mathematically from basic laws of physics because there are lot of educated people here.

This is exactly thesame principle with high pressure wind system.
This is a practicing Engr writing, Chairman abeg lecture the young man.

Adesam01: As a Civil Engineer, I am modelling and simulating phenomenon like Tsunami, Typhoon and Flood. I can tell you that you can't compare the destructive power and potential of Flood to that of a Typhoon moving at a speed of 232 km/h. Imagine how u feel in a car moving at 100km/h. Technically speaking, the statue should not be standing but God is God: He uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise!
You only considered the force acting on the area but you didn't consider the surface area the force acted on.

Your not a practicing Civil engineer or your a bad one. An engineer studies things from all angles before making a claim. Please you need practical experience from seasoned practicing engineers

Only one who wears the shoe knows where it pinches.

From my experience as a Quail farmer, l can tell you that most farmers (quail farmers) are not making a good profit. l have to look into my farm decide which aspect of the farm to concentrate on; bird raising or egg raising.

Farmers that are making good profit from Quail farm knows the thin line between raising Quail for meat, Quail chick and Quail Eggs. Any Quail farmer who doesn't know the different between the three groups of quail farms will not maximize profit from his/her Quail farm.

l was contracted by someone to pick up laying female Quail birds for him, l had to visit some farms. It wasn't a nice experience. The Quails in those farms where irritating and very shabby looking. infact the farmer didn't even allow me get into the farm in the second farm l visited. The best Quail birds he brought for me were the worst l have seen.

l was surprise the amount of time invested in the farm and still the birds are that bad looking. l invest less than 1 hr in my farm everyday, though my farm is not as big as the ones l have visited. My birds are good looking, l know the quality of feed and water they require each day which l give them only in the morning of each day.

For your Quail farm set up consult me, A practicing Quail farmer with lot of experience. For profit maximization.

If you have laying female quail birds for sell contact me.
