sexkillz:yea he should change the misleading topic title. He is talking about nigerians abroad. he should specify that. @topic, something else to note is that most of these men have lost themselves culturally too. Or they wish to lose themselves culturally. Again, the whole inferiority-complex is a huge part of it. |
It's really a black race thing not a Nigerian thing. African American men are doing it, Carribean black men are doing it, African men are doing it. I think it's mostly born out of inferiority-complex of blacks who see it as a status symbol or mark of accomplishment. Or maybe it's because life is too hard for them and they see it as a source of pride (and accomplishment like I said) to be accepted by whites or foreigners. Not all of them. but many. I'm sure every race has something to complain about in the opposite sex. but they are still loyal to their race. Except blacks. we are always the exception for all things positive. Wislet:exactly. |
Very creative. It won't solve housing problem but it's a creative and resourceful way of adapting. Africans are particularly good at this.we are very resourceful. |
First i'm going to congratulate you on your decision to move nearer to God. It is a great feat and it's not easy at all. along the way, you may lose friends (who think you have gone out of your mind) and find yourself alone. The main thing is to surround yourself with like-minded folks. If you can only find such folks in Jehovah's Witness, then join it by all means. To be honest, it is not your church but your heart that matters to God. always pray for the spirit of discernment. Eventually you will grow spiritually enough to be able to discern religious dogma and such and may want to change churches. For now, stay with whatever helps your spirituality the most. |
I sense the same. they are hell bent on breaking the country (by 2015). they will escalate whatever violence already exist and divide and conquer like you say. |
I guess we can only wait and see |
Like someone already pointed out i can only say the USA have evil plans for this country called Nigeria.if you look deep they know about boko haram what no one else knows.they are after our resources, soveignty and to dominate us.first they predicted Nigeria's disintegration in 2015 and now they are issuing warnings on bomb threat.I agree. They already did their thing in Libya. Nigeria is next in line. |
This is just a disgrace. The US should be ashamed of itself. It's as if they are masterminding a plot for Nigeria to disintegrate by 2015. All this is part of their step toward that. Deb MacLean, an embassy spokeswoman, declined to offer further details about the threat or the source of the information Sunday. Then just shut up and go away if you are not going to divulge any details. It's like the gossip monger who is always waiting for trouble to happen so as to start her work. |
hon, there is some koko in the eba, is the stove working well? babe, pass me the salt and pepper (make a slightly disgusted face) and lots of water! honey, let's hire a maid to do the cooking. dear, are you pregnant? pregnancy changes the taste buds you know. I'm not feeling this dinner. |
Look at the picture of the lady!! No make up, no jewellery, head scarf covering her ears!! THATS A DEEPER LIFE WOMAN!! What do you expect from them?!
sharrap. if you see her head very well you will notice she's wearing a weave. She probably spent some nights in jail. I don't think women have d luxury of makeup and jewelry in jail. going by your username i'm pretty sure you would have been shouting "Orunmila Orunmila o!!!" if you were in her shoes. stop d hate on christianity ![]() |
The nurse has been the one taking care of the twins and working 22hrs a day. Funny enuf, the incident happend @home. Do u think magic ll b done in a case of cardiopulmonary attack? Yes, she suctioned and Mr. A called 4 help, what more could she have done, reassure the parents that were already tensed? I obviously knw that if she was a caucasian nurse we won't b hearing dz rubbish.exactly |
how many ethiopians do you see walking around in Maryland or DC looking like that? with tribal marks, head turban and all. |
I don't know of any parent, who would gladly do nothing or stand by while their child is in desperate need of medical attention or while the medical practitioner has a mental breakdown.
from the tone of the article I didn't get the feeling that they are pissed at her mental breakdown. They seem to be more pissed at the fact that she said "Jesus" and are bent on getting her fired for that reason. I do not sympathize with them or the media. The whole propaganda is to equate religiosity with irresponsibility. This wouldn't be news otherwise. because like I said, medical irresponsibility and malpractice is COMMON occurrence in hospitals. I've experienced it tons of times myself and feel it is unfair that this woman is taking more flak than is necessary. my personal opinion and last post on this thread. |
Bottom line, the she-goat should have composed herself and did her damn job! I have no problem with her shouting 'shït', 'Jesus', 'Shiva' or whatever word she chooses to substitute--if that is what will help her get through the job, then so be it. The fact still remains, she ABANDONED her job!!!
You weren't there. and besides she said the parents refused to let her help out after she shouted Jesus. Read the article again. The parents had their bias whether religious or ethnic. nothing wrong with that but associating religiosity with incompetence is what i'm irked about. case in point: all the news coverage of this emphasize the fact that she was mentioning "Jesus" So obviously that was her main crime. It's the "Jesus" everyone is more concerned about. If she had screamed "Shit" will she get fired or be in the news? most doctors and nurses are he-she goats anyway. |
I'm quite sure you'd be really happy when you have a child and you child is in need of medical help. Because a child was born with a condition that may lead to their death doesn't mean that the parents or nurse should abandon their duties--that is by far one of the dumbest things I have heard. By the way, the twin boy involved in the incident, although he has made a full recovery from the incident, he is still totally dependent on others for his care. When you find yourself in such a situation, be sure to kindly take a step to the side so your child doctor or nurse can throw their hands in the air and yell out the names of random religious figures.
This is not a rare incident. she is not the only nurse that has panicked in the hospital and behaved "irrationally" her crime was that she yelled "Jesus" No I wouldn't want a panicked doctor or nurse around but also I wouldn't let my prejudice against religion cloud my judgement either. Lots of Nurses and doctors panic in the hospital and don't get fired. why pick on the one that yells Jesus instead of a swear word? |
BlackLibya:hahah. you are only confirming my point further. Most African and African American women don't have ethiopian hair. at least she doesn't https://www.strangecosmos.com/images/content/156905.jpg |
Naledi14:Yea that's my thought exactly. That's panic mode as far as I can tell and Jesus was all she could call for help. Most others westerners will maybe yell "shit shit " or other swear words. Maybe with more experience she will get used to babies turning blue and having heart attacks. but seriously I don't think she deserves to have her license withdrawn. |
To me, the parents are just bitter. The son was going to die anyway. Why do they have to kill another woman's job to avenge for that? |
sharrap there. I'm just saying that I know what the reality is. Women won't be wearing weaves if men were going gaga over nappy hair. just dislike hypocrites. women who go natural are usually doing it for themselves whereas weave wearers usually maybe to conform to society. |
you omitted the Oct 1 (independence day) bombing |
BlackLibya:I like the woman in my avatar. It's Audrey Hepburn BlackLibya:joke of d century. |
gorgeous!! very simplistic styles that can be "worn down" or "worn up" depending on d occasion. goodluck finding them. but let me know when u do. |
^yes at my young age - im still not strong on the issue of marriage Im thinking of getting one of em pregnant and using that as a stepping board Jenni-near what do u think
no comment. OP probably can give u better advice on that (seeing as he did the same thing). |
that's cute. not romance though. more like family. |
@ OP, if the woman with dark hair is your wife, tell her to put her wedding ring back on! because there is none on her ring finger.
shut up ![]() did they tell u im lackin my intake on white blood i kant even remember d last time i saw the bra of a black woman that was like 1964 if you doubt me ask r231 or goldielucks
lol @ "intake on white blood."well, why not open wedding thread with pics so we can all also celebrate with you? |
your son is too cute (although he looks way cuter in d previous pics). keep d pics coming The women.are they the same person? they look like two different women to me (the one in your wedding and the one holding the child).
BROS SHOW ME THE WAY NAA!!! go check with a pastor |
SEFAGO:lol. Yea I have given it some thought because I was natural before and my black guy friends will always make comments like "when are you going to change your hair back to the way it was" or they will say "your hair look better long." These are the same guys that will condemn weave up and down!! That's why I get pissed off at guys like blacklibya. To me, it's just a bunch of hypocritical talk and it's better for him to just be silent. you guys like the weave. so just shut up. women wouldn't wear it if you didn't. I think women from all parts of Africa are beautiful. Same to guys. I have never met a Nigerian guy that melted my heart either. |
well then that's 99.9% of all husbands ![]() |
