My friend's husband is also the relative of a very prominent figure in the local Nigerian community here, and my husband is practically unknown. So I don't know if that's a factor, too.

my neighborhood is actually very ethnically diverse which I love. just that only white people go running around here. wish more black people did then I wouldn't feel conscious about going. lol

Last week the weather was warm and I wanted to go running but I felt extremely self conscious about doing so, therefore I stayed home and ate a pint of vanilla-strawberry ice-cream. Why did I feel self conscious about going for a run? Well, because I hardly see any black people running out and I didn't want to be stared at like a crazy person
