itoldu:what? ![]() |
that's not right. seems like Fstranger's family to me. |
redsun:lol. what makes it trivial? maybe It is just more important to them. I notice the same as well. women do discuss politics. but mostly on things that matter more to them. and especially among themselves. that's why with more women working in male dominated work environments, the more politics they will be involved in. mainstream politics, on the other hand, is a predominantly male sport. I don't see how it changes anybody's life if Tinubu did or did not forge certificate. lol |
na today? there are worse than that in Lagos. but to be honest, a lot of times, schools abroad aren't much better (esp public schools in US). Not in terms of infrastructure but in terms of actual education. |
Freiburger:
Miss imo and benue (Y), osun too is pretty though.
it's not a boob contest. haba ![]() but miss imo definitely wins in that dept |
Tosinville:your friend is a male prostitute. plain and simple. If a married woman is taking you shopping and paying your rent in exchange for sex, you are not a man. You are a boy. a boy toy. a prostitute. stop cheapening yourself. grow up and be a man! sex tourism is very common by the way. If you have never heard of it. |
Ms Osun needs to fix her hair, then we can talk. Miss Ekiti is cute (Not because I'm from Ekiti), but that hair does not complement her face. BTW, most of this women were just given a state to rep, they may not be indigenes of that state.
the ekiti girl has nice dimples although I agree she needs to change her hair.
^^^ Like tpia said, those pictures are the unedited pics. the airbrushed/ edited airbrush wont make them recognizable again.
makes sense. She looks so much better in d second "airbrushed" pic. |
This gbemisola girl is cute (Miss Kwara) although she doesn't look as good in the 2011 photoshoot. maybe the camera angle/light https://cdn.bellanaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/Gbemisola-Shotade-401x600.jpg |
My favorites (by order of preference): Miss Katsina (Habiba Jilani) https://www.jaguda.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/MISS-KATSINA-STATE-HABIBA-JILANI-M20.jpg Miss Akwa-ibom (Utibe Ibom) https://www.jaguda.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/MISS-AKWA-IBOM-STATE-UTIBE-IBOM-M3.jpg Miss Abuja (Abisola Omolade) https://www.jaguda.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/MISS-ABUJA-ABISOLA-OMOLADE-M37.jpg Miss Abia (Racheal Abiriba) https://www.jaguda.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/MISS-ABIA-STATE-RACHEAL-ABIRIBA-M1.jpg Miss Oyo (Folawiwo Fashanu) https://www.jaguda.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/MISS-OYO-STATE-FOLAWIWO-FASHANU-M30.jpg Miss Osun (Deborah Adedeji) https://www.jaguda.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/MISS-OSUN-STATE-DEBORAH-ADEDEJI-M29.jpg |
interesting topic. what's your motivation to move to Nigeria? I wasn't born or raised abroad but I still will feel apprehensive to move back to live in Nigeria |
If it was BABE she would turn her back and show the guy nyash then he wont see face, bosom or puceee I know how that Girl thinks
you mean turn her back and use the towel to cover her nyash. that way he sees NOTHING. lol |

yes, I think she should be proud (esp. if she's one herself). but the question is. . .how will she be able to tell? |

can you post pictures of the planes? |
SAFO:You know I've never thought of it as a "sale" until I heard this argument. I always thought that the husband paid the bride's family to show that he is capable of providing for his family. basically to prove himself. The more he pays for bride price, the more convinced the bride's family is that this man is capable of taking care of their daughter. this is the same way I see engagement rings. the guy buys an expensive one to prove himself as financially capable. ![]() at least that's the way I see it. |
dayokanu:something I notice is if more women are hosting serious type shows, women will watch it. ex funmi iyanda, oprah etc. yeah men are more into sports while women are more into fashion lol |
I believe Seun had a deal with google to retire Nairalist, and also to help promote Google Trader. I'm positive this is what happened, cos I cannot understand why he would be the first to come on here and announce to us that the new site is finally up. Again, he might very well be the administrator of Google Trader for all we know.I agree. |
ekt-bear, you make a good point that it might be partially due to "fundamental gender differences" but I still think that women could be more involved if gender expectations weren't so rigid. Countries where these expectations are less rigid have more female participation. |
"I promised women a 35 per cent slot in my cabinet and I fulfilled that vow, because it is my desire to ensure a level playing field in Nigeria by heading an administration where ethnicity, gender and religion do not hinder qualified persons from fulfilling their potential. It is also the reason I ordered the admission of women to the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) a first in Nigeria. Women should brace up to be all they want to be in life as this administration will be an enabler of your progress" -Goodluck Jonathan . . .Yet, the women in Jonathan's cabinet are more of the same: political appointees brought on to fill the quota. http://odili.net/news/source/2011/sep/9/330.html ------------------- In Nigeria, the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2007 passed a law against indecent dressing. The press and the public condemned the massive arrest of girls and women by the police on the streets of Lagos over what was termed as indecent dressing which resulted in victims illegally detained, allegedly violated and their money extorted. The law was eventually scraped. http://thelawyerschronicle.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=55:indecent-dressing&catid=35:focus-on-the-law&Itemid=53 ---- just so it doesn't sound like i'm making things up from thin air. there really is an existing quota for females in politics. and this quota is set up by UNDP a UN arm. and Nigerian (lagos ,a state not under sharia) legislature did have a law that banned women from wearing certain clothing. 90 women were arrested for "indecent dressing" in one case. infact there is a topic on Nairaland about it. so, isale-gan, my post and argument may have sounded bizarre to you but it really is based on concrete stuff on gender politics in nigeria. ok i'm out. |
We started with the basic premise that we would provide news and informed opinion fairly and accurately to the public, based on the best judgment of the editors and none other, uninfluenced by money, political or other affiliation.all newspapers always start out on that premise. It just never lasts long before they succumb. |
