^ that's not true. In fact in Nigeria, you are more likely to see a Nigerian woman with a oyinbo or lebanese man. even nollywood made a movie (white hunters) about it. but most oyinbo and lebanese women, on the other hand, are not interested in Nigerian men. why is this? |
When you have your own kids, remember your experience and let them marry whomever they wish. |
^ I agree with you. Edo and south south women are most open to foreign husbands. followed by igbo yoruba women are least open to foreign husbands. you will also know that yoruba culture is stronger in general. so yea there is a correlation there. |
that's almost impossible but if you do a prize giveaway (computer, cars etc and make sure to advertise widely before hand) you will get lots of hits enough to crash the website in less than an hr. |
^ who let this chimpanzee out of the zoo? |
Babasuwe is suing NDLEA for =N=1 Billion. ![]() I knew it was a blackmail! at least my gut reaction was that the story was fabricated. because the guy doesn't seem like that kind of person to me. I just knew it |
I knew from the start that it was a blackmail! |
claremont:It means they are not as assimilated to the european/american culture. even the guys are not very assimilated although they are more assimilated than the women. dating for nigerian women is generally not as much about sex and companionship as it is for the men. and so d women's criteria is much more higher. cultural compatibility is higher on the women's list than the men's. women are the keepers of culture for a reason. but of course that culture will be weak if the men tend to be absent and it will not even exist at all if the women are absent. one thing I notice though is that religion/church is usually the nucleus of the nigerian community abroad. this makes sense and is the reason why muslim men are least likely to marry foreigners ex somali, hausa, arabs. same with born again Nigerian men (although they are rare lol). the religion keeps them grounded in their culture. one way you can tell if a nigerian woman is assimilated to the foreign culture is if most of her friends are oyinbo. then she will be fine with dating an oyinbo. in fact, you will most likely see her dating an oyinbo. since that will be the easier route to take. but on the contrary, most nigerian girls prefer the company of their fellow nigerians. and therefore they will also prefer the company of a nigerian boyfriend or husband. it's mostly cultural preference/ lack of assimilation into the foreign culture. |
dayokanu:kids shouldn't be in school from 7-4pm. that 9 hrs is way too much. If not for the fact that more and more women are working and not having enough time to raise their children, school wouldn't even be that lengthy. |
Amaka G29:you are going to be working extra hard to stack up the cash for early retirement. where will your kids be all the while? who will be raising them? I thought about this too. that's why I resolved (in my dream ) to marrying a financially capable guy. and to be honest, he doesn't have to be super rich. just wealthy enough to take care of the family financially. |
ronkebp: ![]() I tried joining this women's club once and they asked me if I worked during the day. I didn't see what the problem was until I found out these women were all millionaires' wives who had no day job!! except for housekeeping, hobbies and their charity organizations. |
Sagamite:is there any question to this? the fashion model is modelling attire for the richest people in the world. the video ho is doing sex tapes to pay her rent. different social class, different tastes. case closed. like I said, Alek Wek's fiance isn't complaining. |
Sagamite:well, you're not the president of France. case closed. different class, different taste. |
Bawss1:hahahaha too funny ![]() |
Pele o But those pictures you put up are not fit to grace the modelling world (or Catwalk) unless they are going to model strap-on or intimacy gadgets for Ann Summers or those you find on a F1 starting grid.
lol. abeg don't listen to him. comparing classless video chicks to high fashion models. ![]() what a disgrace to the likes of first lady of France Carla Bruni (a former fashion model). |
lol @ Emeka and Ada. what a couple. ![]() he should ask for refund. hopefully he's keeping the receipts. |
2buff: ![]() I already said it's part time housekeeping. the rest of the time is spent as an employee or employer. It certainly was the latter ![]() but full time housekeeping when the children are young. |
^ pls get out of here. don't mess up my dream. ![]() of course yea I know reality is different.
I'd have to be threatened, blackmailed or uneducated.
![]() |
what about part time housewife ![]() |
na wa o well I've heard lots of stories like this. While in school, I had several female teachers who say they are not married. and these women are at least in their mid 40s and they say they're happy. They own cats and like to talk about the cats as if they're kids I thought it was an oyinbo thing.didn't know naija women r also suffering from d same. But it is so shameful for us. how do you cope with it? ![]() you must hide a lot from family and friends. better start saying hi to those your oyinbo male coworkers. at least you are doing great career-wise. Maybe you should look into meeting divorced/widowed men? |
you men are not very encouraging. I need more women to post. |
funniest thread i've read in a while. @OP all you have to do is choose between your family and your boyfriend. which one do you love more? think hard about it and make the right decision. people might stick your problem to tribalism but i'm sure your parents have their reasons. Maybe they don't want you to lose your Igbo heritage and become yorubanized. esp. since you already live in the SW and are probably already yorubanized to some extent. parents have these kinds of concerns. they are legitimate concerns but maybe a little old-fashioned. ![]() [flash=490,400] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqwkuZngh5s[/flash] |

On really good days when I've had a nice glass of warm milk before bed, I fall asleep and start to have this fantastic dream. In my dream, I live in a very nice cozy house with my stinking rich husband and two adorable kids. I don't work much professionally (maybe limited part time). Instead I am a housewife. I also have a few hobbies and clubs I belong to to pass time and then . . . . I wake up ![]() who else has these sweet dreams? and then the alarm wakes them up to get ready for work. ![]() |
^ must you show up on every topic? u, lefulefu, need to refrain from posting comments. only sane people are allowed the privilege. |
sexkill since when did u start talking dirty (using phrases like "good in bed," "bad in bed" aren't u supposed to be sound asleep? at your seminary school room? |

I thought it was an oyinbo thing.
