Kindly read the previous pages for an explicit infor about the EE. You can use your Korea work experience if its the same NOC with your IT. Please note that you will be required to submit a reference from all previous employer.

IELTS link: https://ielts.britishcouncil.org You will have access to free materials online after registering and you can try youtube as well.

@ Akexstinger.......there's no cheaper IELTS, it's a fixed price, now for 52k. Register via the link provided for you above. Also, you can't use your Korea training to apply, it's not related to your previous work experience and it's not up to a year, besides it's a training and not work experience so, go with only your IT but I'm hoping 1year will be sufficient in the final analysis sha!

Hi JesusDWay,
Regarding reference letters from former employers. I tracked down my former employer from almost 10years back,he is not running the same business anymore and he his using a different company name now. I told him about him issuing reference letter for my past duties and he informed he no longer had letter head from the previous company anymore. What do you advise I do at this point?

Thanks

If he still does the same business, you have no problem, he can use the new letterhead for you

My ielts results are as follows:

Listening 8.5
Reading 8.5
Writing 7.0
Speaking 7.0

Overal: 8.0

Do i get maximum crs points for Language?

thanks!

What you have is good enough, it may not make significant difference in your overall crs score, you don't need to retake the exam. Actually, CLB 9 requires 8,7,7,7 which gives maximum score under fsw point grid while 8.5,8,7.5,7.5 gives CLB 10, which gives the highest mark in your overall crs score

Thanks for your response sir.

Kindly clarify the following for me please;

1. So next step is to evaluate certificate with WES?
2. My MBA is from lautech, do you know of anyone who got positive evaluation of this certificate?
3. Please I need to know how other bankers were able to get reference letters from their employers. The only reference I'm aware of from my bank is the one we get for tourists visa processing, and those ones are quite generic.
4. How do I go about getting provincial nomination?

My banking roles in the past 7yrs would fit nicely under NOC 0122 (banking, credit, and other investment mgrs)

Can't thank you enough for your labor of love.

1. Yes
2. Yet to see anyone who has finished with their evaluation of Lautech MBA however, i've not seen any Nigerian certificate that was evaluated lower than what it is so, you shouldn't worry
3. The simple info i've gathered is that you have to apply to HR for it(ensure you give them the required information that should be contained therein). Or, get a Superior to write and sign for you but it has to be on letterhead with his/her contact details contained therein as well.
4. You apply.. grin . I keep meeting folks like you who fall under NOC 0122 but, i'm yet to see any province who has a list of occupation they want people for list 0122. Auditing and Financial Sales Rep and Business Development Officers - NOC 4163 is what i've seen so far so, i don't know how you can get provincial nomination in the meantime but you can apply for jobs - www.monster.ca , www.indeed.ca , if you will land a job that will come with an LMIA which is what can help you get 600 just like provincial nomination and ensure you are selected for ITA

Hi JesusDWay,

My score is LRWS 8.5,8,6.5,8. Can i get max CRS point for language with this? Thanks

If you had 7.5 where you had 6.5, you would have had the maximum crs point for language which in turn is a significant booster of your overall crs. However, what you have is very very good enough, you don't need to rewrite

@JesusDway,

I'd like to know if somebody who has resigned in an occupation , for like a year, can apply , especially when the person has over 10 years working experience prior to resignation in an engineering company . And what is the implication of this gap on chances of getting nomination or ITA?

You can apply, there's no implication on your chances

@Taiwotron

Hmnn...good you got NOI but I hope you k ow it's not the same thing as nomination. You are coughing out 1500CAD yet, they didn't say you are guaranteed nomination from their province which for me is somehow. Don't get me wrong, I'm not discouraging you but I would suggest you look at it closely again before applying and paying that money cuz, if you pay that money and they dont nominate you eventually, it might not be funny. You still have another 1040CAD to pay later if they eventually will give you visa, which is apart from medical costs as well. I suggest you research and find out how many people they have nominated and see what your chances are like

@ Strides......Would have been very good if you had 7.5 in those sections you had 7 and 6.5, that would have made you had the highest required for Language test but, its still good and hubby's is sufficient for now.

From my assessment, hubby's IELTS helped you pass the threshold of the required 67points out the 100point fsw grid, you had 71(age is a dropping factor) and you had 319 overall in your CRS which is low, as cut-off draws has been hovering above 450. Note that you must send your qualifications to WES(preferably) to evaluate it and determine its Canadian equivalent(it's a non-negotiable requirement and i based my calculation on the fact the you already did). I also assumed 10years work experience for you, its not likely going to be so at the end of the day as its expected that you would have changed roles over the years, the role in which you had the highest number of years would be most suitable while some other roles may be more considerable as well if we find any province that needs those with work experience in those roles cuz as it is, you need to get a provincial nomination to boost your score so, you may wanna highlight in what roles you spent those 10years.

Finally, you gotta be fast with everything you wanna do, age aint gonna help, remember this year is gone already so, you gotta do quick.

Do not kill the open sharing spirit that has existed here for years. You have been helpful here to many but if your current action will kill this thread then I have to do something.

Whatsapp chat will not be available to google search and many people get to know about this thread through Google search.

This is a selfish act.

I've hardly seen any question or query being asked here that does not get answered, the whatsapp group is for those who have already applied to SINP so they can get to update each other on their already existing application which is a common goal, anyone who needs to know anything here still get answers. All they discuss there is how their application is being treated. Besides, I was added to the group, I don't have any private group neither did I encourage anyone to leave this forum. Even the latest update on the SINP which just opened was posted by me, what else is being kept away from people?

I find your comment very needless, discouraging and very unfair. As a matter of fact, you are the one killing someone's spirit here. I've kept on being active on this subject even when the old thread of over 200pages was closed and this has gotten to over 30pages, answering questions and responding to people's private queries with my time and data and this what someone like you who should know better will spurt out? It's very unfortunate...

Hi JesusDWay or anyone who can Help with answers,
Please I have a question. Can I use work experience from almost 10 years ago? My current work experience is 2 years, but I have work the same occupation when I was a part time student(went to sch weekends) I worked for 4 years. Can I claim points for the 4 years? I.e if I can locate my employer today and get a reference letter?
Thanks

Yes you can, it's still within the last 10years

Good morning all.
I withdrew my EE account and created a new one; this is because my account may have been skipped by Ontario seeing i have more than 400 points.
However, even though i edited my Job bank account to accommodate the new EE reference number and Job bank ID, my new EE account still shows that the status of my new account is pending instead of 'Open'

My questions are:

1) Do I need to delete my initial job bank account? If yes, where do i do that seeing i can only deactivate it. But even if i deactivate, Job Bank database will still recognise my email address when i try to open a new account.

2) Do i go ahead and deactivate my Job Bank account; open another account using a different email address and update my EE profile afterwards?

3) Can i use my pension contribution as part of my Proof of Funds (POF)?

Kindly help address these questions.
Thank you.

I observed that recently, it appears jobbank connection to EE account to make one's profile open takes time(sometimes more than 24hours), so I suggest you wait a bit. If it doesn't change after 2days, you can create a new jobbank account that will be linked to it.

Make pension a support or addition and not main account. It appears they accept it from some people but reject it from others so, better to play safe

Saskatchewan Express Entry Category has opened again. If you are in the EE Pool and your occupation is listed as one of those they need people for(after opening the site, scroll down to look for Application Guide. When you've clicked and opened it, scroll to the last 2 or 3 pages, the occupations are listed there), quickly go and apply before the Indians fill the spaces again:

Hi jesusDway,Can you please share where you got the information that the Diploma must be after the degree for it to be recognized as two or more certs.

Educational Credential Assessments – how to read your report

If you want to become an Express Entry candidate, and you have had an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA), you can find out below how many points you will get.

Points are used to rank candidates once they get into the Express Entry pool.

Your result will be marked on your report as the Canadian equivalent to the foreign degree, diploma or certificate you had assessed. Find the result in the first column of the table below and you can see information about your points.

If you are being assessed to get into the pool through the Federal Skilled Worker Program, there is a separate points grid for this. The points for this grid are included as well.

Okay thanks. Any advice on if it's worth evaluating the 2 certificates? What point difference would the diploma add to the bsc?

The diploma was done before your Bsc and as such, it wont give you extra marks. You only get marks for two certificates if the diploma was done after your first degree

My question;
I'm a registered nurse, I already applied under FSW/EE, March 2015.

I have been scored but very low.

Now, I wish to apply for PNP in order to boost my EE score. Kindly advise on the best/easiest Province to apply for PNP.

Thanks

I've not seen any PNPs requesting for Nurses so, just be on the lookout for their criteria when they roll it out. You may however check Quebec, as they don't appear to have particular occupations they want people for.
