primeson1: Just go ahead and register. Get school to send your transcripts and they should include copy of your certificate, quoting the reference number that WES would give you after you have paid. This is to let WES know the documents belong to you. Pay courier money to school for them to use courier to send it cuz WES will send back to school for verification. You need to know someone in school who will ensure school responds quickly to it so your evaluation can be done in time. As for ACCA, just send WES a copy of the notification of your result and ensure you quote your reference number on it. They will put the two together and let you know when your evaluation is ready. Don't bother about the OND, you will only be wasting your time |

The below may be the reason why the provinces are yet to announce their plans and programmes for 2016 The 2016 immigration levels plan The government of Canada is scheduled to table its 2016 immigration levels plan to Parliament on or before March 9, 2016. Among other details, this plan is expected to announce how many immigrants Canada aims to attract over the year and reveal a breakdown in the number of immigrants that will be allocated to the various Canadian immigration programs. This plan is usually presented by November of any given year, but has been delayed on this occasion due to the change in government at that time last year. Interestingly, last December an IRCC Policy Analyst stated that there may be a correlation between the immigration plan and Express Entry rounds of invitations. “We expect that in the new year when our rounds start growing — to meet our new levels plan — that the score will reduce,” stated the IRCC Policy Analyst, who added that “The number of invitations issued per round is expected to increase as the pre-Express Entry inventory of applications is finalised. In turn, it is expected that the minimum score of those that are invited to apply will drop.” With this projection in mind, it may be the case that the objectives contained in the immigration plan will be the catalyst for a further reduction in CRS point requirements for draws from the Express Entry pool. |

ZannyShasha: It can be a daunting task taking a decision in the situation you are in but, the pros are more than the cons. Yeah, the fear of the unknown may be there but don't forget, the greatest risk is not to take a risk at all. Don't know what your level of education is but if your husband were to assess his own, it's deemed the equivalent of Masters and helps one to have a higher score overall than someone with a Bsc however, age also determines your score and you have an edge there. Besides, if the school your hubby graduated from is in Nigeria, getting his MCC done can really take time and it's also costly but, he doesn't have a choice as it's needed for him to even be able to register and take the qualifying exams. From my assessment, if you have a Masters, you are better as the Principal Applicant and using WES to do evaluation of your qualification will be faster than waiting for hubby's own which can only be done with MCC but if it's a Bsc you have, hubby will be better as PA but you will need to be proactive in finding a way by which you can get his MCC done very fast so that you can apply this year. There are 3 stages of the qualifying exams to be able to practice as a doctor in Canada and from what I've heard, if you pass stage 1, you can use it to get a job. This stage 1 can be done remotely(don't need to explain what I mean here, a lawyer knows bigger grammar than an average person ) which can help him get a job faster so, no need fearing a future in Canada. Finally, concentrate very much on your IELTS, whoever will be the PA between you two must score 8.5L, 8R, 7.5S&W, that's what will ensure you guys can score above 400 which may be necessary. Meanwhile, what kind of job are you doing? If it's something other than practicing law, one might be able to see if you can apply for provincial nomination 1 Like |

primeson1: Naaaaa, not relevant. You should certainly start WES as it takes time, besides, it doesn't disturb your preparation for IELTS so, no reason why you should stop one for the other. |

primeson1: If you can get notification of result or something official from ACCA to show you have passed and qualified, then add it to your Bsc and send to WES. Forget about the OND, a diploma in this case is mostly only useful if obtained after your first degree. |

edababa007: Well...he can file for you after one year of having landed in Manitoba as a PR but, as it happens that he's been living there before getting PR, you may need to ask him to find out if he'll be able to file for you immediately after his PR since he's been living there before now |

aykanbi: No you cant. If you were married before entering the EE Pool and subsequently got ITA and you didn't disclose you are married, you have misrepresented and it can earn you a 5year ban from Canada. Even if you got married after you were in the EE Pool but before getting ITA, you still cant add your spouse, you have to decline the ITA and let your spouse write IELTS as well and possibly do WES in addition to jerk up your score to the level where you can get ITA again |

As touching the list of occupation, the one they had in January last year was a bit different from the one they used for the rest of the year which was carried out early to this year as well so, it's what they bring out that people apply for |

Meanwhile, I think some people should take what Irondome said seriously as it happens that it's a bit hard for some people to scale this Canadian immigration, they should rather opt for Australia. The cost is much higher tho but, it should be a good alternative than wasting time on Canada. |
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by JesusDWay(m): 11:55pm On Feb 22, 2016 |
vcole: 1) There should still be someone there who can sign(not write, you should be the one to compose the letter for them and ensure its like 70% similar in job details with the corresponding NOC) for you. If they are not willing, your former supervisor can still sign for you but he will state it that he's no longer there but can then attach a copy of his business card then to show the company's logo. 2) Don't exactly know about this 3) The delay is mostly from your school's end so, that's where you really need to work on. I think the cost is over 600CAD, if not close to a 1k sef. Go their website and find things out for yourself - www.mcc.ca 4) If not 100% of the time, a Nigerian Masters Degree usually gets evaluated as equivalent of a Canadian masters so, there's no question of two certificates coming in. The Masters is higher than the 2certificates thing and fetches you more marks. 5) Your medical degree usually is evaluated as Doctor of Medicine which is the equivalent of a Canadian Masters Degree and that's what you will choose as the level of your qualification I.e Masters, when filling your EE profile after you must have gotten the evaluation done. |

youseuph: Go with what vcole told you and in addition, use the link below to calculate and determine who will score higher between you and your wife and subsequently make the person the principal applicant. Ensure you choose Masters for your Pharmacy qualification and also choose the highest obtainable score in IELTS in each case. See who has the highest score and then check your abilities on who can actually score higher in IELTS between the two of you and then take your decision. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp |

flgd: Yeah, tuition fee for a PR is cheaper than that of an International Student Can't say much about your second question Regarding Ontario, you have to be in the EE Pool and have a score of 400 and above which will make them contact you to apply. You can then prove to them how sure you are to eventually come to their province if they nominate you by using as many convincing factors as you can mull e.g, if you have family in Ontario, jobs you have applied for, steps you have taken to be a member of the professional body in charge of your occupation, etc 1 Like |

foeveryoungdiva: You need to let us know if you were married before he applied or he had already applied before marrying you cuz, if you were married before he applied and subsequently got ITA, then he ought to have indicated he was married. If that is the case, I'll say he can't accept the ITA for now, he'll have to keep declining it till your own IELTS is ready and he then can add your result to his profile and then declare that he was married otherwise, they will see it as misrepresentation which can attract a ban of 5years from entering Canada. If it was after he applied and before being requested by CIC to submit his docs that the marriage took place, I will say he should send a mail to CIC explaining his situation and let them tell him what to do |

link2jb: People with less than 300 exist in the EE pool, the crs score doesn't determine your eligibility, it is the ranking score used in selecting people for ITA. Age, level of qualification, years of work and low IELTS are the bane of fsw |

noblealuu: Apparently, it's a long term thing however, I must let you know that there's no PR without then having work experience so, you need to factor that in your feasibility studies(how they will combine Masters and working a type of job that can give them leverage to apply for PR. Besides, you guys need to pray and be firm in your decision to be with each other otherwise, circumstances more especially distance and naivety about relationships as I see it in your post, may make situation change(it's a practical scenario I'm giving you, trust me) so, for me, much as you can plan things the way you have touted, I will rather suggest that you apply now instead if you are qualified. You both will sort the marriage thing out later. That's my Noblealuu advice as a journey companion on the way to heaven 4 Likes |

tyketurah: Your chances are dependent on the following factors - age, IELTS score, number of years of work experience and the classification of your occupation in Canada(the qualified ones must fall under Skill Level 0 or type A or B), and evaluated equivalence of your qualification. One and half years work experience might not be helpful overall although it qualifies also, one doesn't know if your occupation falls under the acceptable class as I highlighted earlier(use the link I provided for someone in the previous page to find out). You may use the link below to assess yourself: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp |

If the visa office is not far from where you live, go there and ask but I think normally, except you are a PR in UK, you will normally have to come back to Nigeria to apply |

bass7: Your chance of applying is the same for everyone who has been able to migrate there. You start with 2 things, writing IELTS and evaluating your qualifications(which I may suggest you bother only about your MPA), you can do this by having your credential sent to WES(world educational service, search for WES Canada and click on Credential Evaluation for CIC purpose, it will tell you the amount you will pay and how to register and the documents you are to send to them). It's imperative you score, infact aim at scoring all available marks in the IELTS General Training. Also, you need to find the equivalent of the profession you had work experience in, in Canada. Google NOC 2011, click on the link after you have seen it from the search result and then type a key word relating to your profession in the search facility of the website(it's the website that lists all occupations in Canada and you are just looking for the equivalent of your own). When you have both IELTS and ECA(Educational Credential Evaluation) and you have been able to find the equivalent of your occupation in Canada, you are then ready to apply. Below are the links you need for the initial steps: IELTS - https://ielts.britishcouncil.org/CountryExamSearch.aspx WES(for credential evaluation) - http://www.wes.org/ca/eca/ Occupation - http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/Welcome.aspx 1 Like |

noblealuu: Lol.....Whoever is coming back to marry you will do her job to know what it requires to bring you in. I think it's called spousal visa and for each province it seems the duration and modality varies. Go to www.cic.gc.ca and find out about it but, since it's Zandora you are hoping to come back for you, you need not worry your head, she's proficient enough to know what to do which by then I think you would have woken up from your pipe dream 4 Likes |

link2jb: There's no time frame given, I think your strong ties to Ontario or how you can convince the immigration folks there may determine if you will get it. Things like registering with the professional body in charge of your choice occupation over there, job applications you have made and demonstration of your experience in the line may convince them to nominate you |
