What is the loan's tenor?

What is the repayment plan?

Are you paying back principal + interest at the end of the stipulated period?

While banks charge higher, I think soft loans should be easier on the individual involved. 20% is on the high side for me. Except you are using it as working capital for a very established high-returns business.
Thanks for your contribution.

About repayment plan; the duration is either 6 or 12months (He asked me choose between 6 and 12months). And I will pay both the capital and the interest at the end of the agreed period.

But I later talked to him this morning to slash the rate to 18% 'cause it's too high, and he agreed. Do you think it's advisable for me to take it at the 18% interest rate with the above repayment plan?

I want to get a loan of 2m wih 20% interest from my cousin, but I want to know if the interest rate is not too high. And if it's too high, what rate is reasonable? I just want to use the loan for my business.

Your advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Politics / Ajaokuta: Gov. Yahaya Bello’s Scam Exposed by Jetland(m): 7:53am On Aug 11, 2019
Ajaokuta: Gov. Yahaya Bello’s Scam Exposed

Preamble :

On the 2nd of April 2019, President Buhari rejected the $1b Ajaokuta Steel Company’s completion bill stating amongst others that “the nation can not afford to commit such an amount in the midst of competing priorities “ .

As disappointed as many were... losing hope was a far cry.

Financing was indeed a major concern for such a revolutionary project which intends to operate in service for the benefit of the people and industrialize Nigeria. At the same time, privatization is off the option racks as that would mean the profit going into the pockets of a few individuals at the detriment of the host communities, state and country. We have witnessed the “investments” in the oil sector and learnt from the degraded Niger Delta environments which birthed : Rich “investors” ... poor exploited hosts.

But they say, where there is a will, there is a way.

A Ray of Hope

From the 18th to 22nd of June 2019, the African Import-Export Bank (AfriEximBank) under the leadership of Nigeria’s own Prof. Oramah, held its 26th Annual General for the first time in Moscow, Russia.

There the Russia Export Center (REC) (which is a developmental institution established by the Russian government to export financial and technical support for foreign countries in need) expressed intentions to be a stakeholder in AfriEximBank committing $50billion towards African projects specifically in areas of mining, railway and major industrial development.

Thousands of delegates cutting across the bank’s shareholders, authorities from countries and business communities participated in this conference which redefined Africa- Russia relationship as it were in the 70s/80s.

Sadly I couldn’t attend because of our senatorial tribunal case.

However, it was a rewarding event as the Nigerian Government representatives engaged adequately and returned home to Nigeria to begin putting in place measures to have Ajaokuta receive its $1b funding from the Russian Export Center’s $50billion stake in AfriExImBank.

AfriExImBank is currently excited about the possibilities of financing Ajaokuta Steel Complex’s resuscitation for the greater good of Nigeria.

President Buhari in Russia

On 22nd and 23rd of October 2019, President Buhari is expected to attend the first ever Russian - African Economic Summit where leaders of 40 African countries have confirmed attendance.

The Nigerian presidency is currently working very hard to ensure that a direct Government to Government agreement is entered into by Presidents Buhari and Putin in October in Russia with regards to the revival of Ajaokuta especially now that the funding challenge has been sorted.

Deal is; to get the Russians to resuscitate, operate alongside Nigerians for a few years, transfer technology to Nigerians leaving Ajaokuta plant a wholly Nigerian People’s owned company transparently and efficiently administered under a restructured system for maximum benefit of the people and nation.

The Devils in Sheep Clothing

As everything was going on smoothly, Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi state and his crony in the person of Alhaji Musa Bello have dug up their shell company Ajaokuta Kogi Nigeria Limited and want to acquire Ajaokuta steel while accessing the $1b financing from AfriExImBank.

Refresher :

Who is Alhaji Musa Bello?

This is a “self-acclaimed business man” whose character oozes the impression that “corruptions is the way of life in Nigeria so you must join the corrupt to survive”.

Musa Bello manipulated the Ajaokuta’s Arbitration case in London with the help of some unpatriotic Nigerians and together with Gov Kayode Fayemi ended up deceiving Vice President Osibanjo into handing over Itakpe Iron Ore complex to him in lieu of the $550m which they say Nigeria is supposedly owing Global Infrastructure Nigeria Limited, a company now belonging to Musa Bello.

Global Infrastructure Nigeria Limited is the company which stripped assets off Ajaokuta, Itakpe and Delta steel.

Now, Itakpe Iron Ore was given to Musa Bello 3 years ago on the 1st of August 2016 yet no operational activity is going on there.

What is Ajaokuta Kogi Nigeria Limited?

By mid 2017, a shell-company was uncovered to be created by Musa Bello and Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi State to fraudulently acquire Ajaokuta steel company for their selfish interests. Remember Malabo Oil? This set up was similar.

Upon investigation, DSS recommend the deregistration of the company as it didn’t hold in trust the intent mentioned in the numerous letters sent to CAC by the Kogi State Government (letter’s from Folashade, the Sectertary to the Government House and Asiwaju the Commission for Finance ).

Surprisingly, the company has resurfaced to live up to its intended evil of shortchanging not only Kogi state but Nigeria at a large because Ajaokuta steel is a federal government asset.

Let the Corporate Affairs Commission know that for all that it may, CAC doesn’t have the constitutional powers to regularize an irregularity.

Now Back to the Devils :

As we speak, Gov Yahaya Bello is using the authority of his office to misrepresent Ajaokuta Kogi Nigeria Limited (AKNL) into partnership with a Russian private company named Metprom before Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) and even Russian Export Center that AKNL holds trust for Kogi State and Nigeria.

Last week Kogi State Commissioner of Finance Mr. Asiwaju accompanied Musa Bello to a meeting with the presidency to push for privatization and access to the $1b.

The presidency told them straight away that the Federal Government is not interested in privatizing Ajaokuta are desirous of a Government to Government agreement with the Russians.

This didn’t go too well with Asiwaju, Musa Bello and Yahaya Bello.

Immediately, Gov. Yahaya Bello by the seal of his office facilitated MetProm’s deception of Russian Export Center into having an agreement that every transaction with Nigeria with regards to Ajaokuta steel should be through them (Ajaokuta Kogi Nigeria Limited and MetProm).

As at today, the presidency is upset at the mutinous manner in which Gov Yahaya Bello manipulates BPE, the AfriEximBank and the Russian Export Center into deceptively privatizing a Federal Government asset to himself and cronies.

Let every Kogite and well meaning Nigerian stand with the presidency on this great move to resuscitate Ajaokuta steel company.

Ajaokuta steel company like many others have suffered greatly in the guise of privatization. Privatization is simply a excuse for a government’s inefficiency and if we find the federal government trying its best to streamline processes to eradicate corruption in corporate sectors, let’s support them.

AfriExImBank would release funds to revive Ajaokuta but would prefer so upon a direct Federal Government to Government agreement not through a Yahaya Bello’s Ajaokuta Kogi Nigeria Limited Shell.

God bless Nigeria .

Good News For Rohr As West Ham Goalkeeper Is Set To Play For Nigeria

Good News For Rohr As West Ham Goalkeeper Is Set To Play For Nigeria
Nigeria’s goalkeeping problems may soon be a thing of the past after reports emerged that West Ham’s U-18 goalkeeper, Daniel Jinadu is set to pledge his international future to the Super Eagles.

The Super Eagles have lacked quality in the goalkeeping department since former number one, Vincent Enyeama retired from the team.

The goalkeeping trio of Francis Uzoho, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi have all failed to convince. Calls for a new number one intensified following the conclusion of the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations where Nigeria third position.

Although the third-place finish was seen as a success in many quarters, there was a feeling it could have been better if the team had a top goalkeeper.

South Africa based goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi was chosen by Rohr as the team’s number one at the tournament, but the Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper came in for criticism over his lack of confidence.

The 32-year-old was criticised for his inability to instil confidence into the team and also his inability to deal with crosses. He was blamed for Nigeria’s semi-final loss to Algeria with many saying he should have done better for Mahrez’s last minuted freekick.

Following the tournament, the team’s manager, Gernot Rohr was implored to start looking for a goalkeeper that the team can trust. And it seems the German tactician wait search will soon be over with reports emerging that West Ham U-18 goalkeeper has had talks with the NFF and he is poised to commit his international future to Nigeria.

The 17-year-old has represented England at the U-15 and U-16 levels but is set to represent Nigeria at the international level.

Oh, Im sorry to answer this. U do not expect the host to bear the entire cost of the event. The host has already spent so much hosting the competition. The host has already bought all tickets for their matches. The host wont go about buying the tickets for other participating teams.

I want u to calm down and research how many Liver pool fans traveled from liver pool to watch their team play UEFA champions league final this year. I want u to find out how many Brazilians traveled to watch their team play in the world cup, the same goes to all other participating countries.

Participating nations in tournaments should have their citizens and well wishers buy their match tickets and not expecting the host to do so. That is where we get it all wrong. We expected Egyptians to come out en mass to buy match tickets for DRC, Benin, SA, Nigeria, Tunisia, etc. Does that make sense to u? Nigeria should at least for example, have over 30k fans travel down to Egypt to watch us play, same with DRC, Tunisia, Uganda, Senegal, etc. The participating teams should have their fans travel down to Egypt to watch their various teams, that is how it is done.

I pity the organizers becus they may not make much money. One of the benefits of hosting such competition is to attract foreigners to visit ur country and spend money in ur country. That is how it is done. Over 30 fans of the two English clubs traveled to spain to watch their teams play UEFA champions league final. They didnt wait for Spain to host and buy the entire tickets. That is not business.

How many Nigerians traveled to watch eagles? Oh, we are waiting for the Egyptians to host and buy entire tickets too? lol

My brother, what u are seeing in AFCON is an evidence of hunger across Africa, over 90% of the participating nations dont have many citizens who can afford to travel for such competition.

The average ticket goes for 10k naira, when u add flight fee, visa fee, booking hotels, feeding, transportation, womanizing, etc u should be spending over 2 million naira to travel and watch few super eagles match in Egypt. Now, how many Nigerians earn such in a year? Most football fans are broke in third world countries, they cant afford to travel.

Also, flight logistics in africa is poor. Africa is very large and lacks intra transportation system like we have in Europe. Normally, each participating nations should at least attract nothing less than 15k travelers to buy tickets and watch their matches, that way, the few Egyptians and tourists who may have interest in some of the matches beside their national team, will add up to the numbers.

Imagine 20k Nigerians buy tickets for our matches, our opponents also have 15k of their citizens traveled and bought tickets, stadium never full?

Abeg, i dont blame the Egyptians, African leaders have failed. Middle class citizens who form majority of the football fans cant afford 2 million for a competition.

You nailed it bro

Hello, webmasters.

I've been having issues installing wordpress and plug-in on my new wordpress site. Whenever I try installing either theme or plug-in, it returns the error as it's shown on the screenshots below.

I, initially, thought the problem is because I used the latest version of wodpress which might be due to the fact some themes and plug-ins are not compatible with the latest version yet. I now decided to downgrade it to the oldest version (4.9.10) of WordPress, but I'm still experiencing the same error.
Please how can I resolve this?
I'v explored all the possible solutions I now, but now positive result yet.

Thanks

Modified: Please note that I was not installing the theme or plug-in as external files, I was trying to install them directly from my dashboard.

Update: I have fixed it. Thanks

Business / My Bad Experiences With Onlinenaira.com by Jetland(m): 12:35pm On May 14, 2019
I got to know onlinenaira.com 2 months ago and I decided to be using their platform. The first transaction I had with them wasn't as smooth as I expected.
I initiated withdrawals for the past six days now, but these guys refused to credit my account. Whenever I chatted them up, they would tell me they are experiencing some problems, and that my account will be credited ASAP. The first time I transacted with them, I had the same experience, but they told me it was simply because they were having issues with their banks, so I believed them.

This second time, I was supposed to be credited 3 days after the withdrawal is initiated, but now, today makes it 6 days and they are yet to credit my account. I've been contacting them since 3 days ago and they keep telling me the same thing, "we will credit your account ASAP". One of their supports even told me they are paying pending orders that are in the queue. I wonder how many customers they have that they can't pay their orders for the past six days. Even companies that have many employees don't take a long time to pay their employees.

I don't understand why they have to be lying to their customers.

Well, I'm waiting for them

Nairalanders, what's that creepy incident that left unforgettable scars in your memory?
Though I've had many bad incidents, but let me share the most recent one.
I was travelling to Jos together with my elder brother when a red Honda sped past us. In the car was a young man who waved at us with a very unusual and amiable smile across his face. My brother responded with a horn.
We got to a village close to Kaffanchan some minutes later. There was a heavy traffic because two cars had collided. It involved an Opel vehicle and that of the man who waved at us moments before that. We saw the moment his corpse was brought out of the car by some men. He was on a white attire that got totally soaked in blood.
We were really shocked that day. The incident leafed through my memory for many days.
The year I lost my 3 brothers, that was in 2016.

Family / Re: My Wife Has Reduced Me To A Common Trash. by Jetland(m): 5:07pm On Feb 26, 2019
Capensis:

Will you pay attention and stop this victim mentality. It is either you will take advise, since you brought this matter to the court of public opinion, or you will narrate your experience, believe your wife is the worst woman and conclude that you are leaving a marriage. You are sounding emotional and your feedback system has totally clouded your judgment.

Pay attention:
Being a husband is a full-time job. Just like any job, it comes with serious responsibilities and repercussions if you fail to understand how the game is played.

1. It is your responsibility to get the money, pay the rent, pay kids school fees. You are the chief medical officer of your home, so everyone's health including your wife's and kids', are under your care.

2. You are the chief security officer of your home, you must check that all doors are locked at night and ensure the safety of everyone in the family.

3. You are the chief romance officer, you must master how to play women with sweet words, give her massage every evening, and make sweet love to her during the massage sessions, and I mean this. Get a massage table, it goes for about 180K to 300K for a good one. If you cant afford that, then buy massage mat. Prepare the oil and get some candles.

4. You must join her in the kitchen, even if there is a maid to do the chores and help her out, you must learn this. Wash those plates sometimes.

5. You must lie down with that woman on bed after sex, hold her face, and tell her truths and lies of how you love her. Then if you have nothing more to do, do some gossiping with her. Stroke her nicely and tell her how hard you are working to ensure your family is financial stable for the next 100 years.

6. You must stop thinking like your ancestors. Define your own path and ignore customary and traditional ways of running your home. Times have changed. Why wont you fetch water and wash your own hand. Seems she is the one doing all the kitchen work and you are the African man waiting to be served. It is not mandatory, besides do you know if her mother used to serve her father that way? It might be she got a different kind of training.

7. Do not ever think you have done enough, cos you havent done jack. If you feel that your wife is cheating, then rent a place somewhere else and move towards a different location. It does not matter if you own the house you are living now. Go and rent someplace nice for a year and move there and change your children's school so as to forget the shame and embarrassment your quarrel may have caused. If it is your house, you can return back after a year.

8. Always remember that most women are like babies. You must master how to lie to them if you know that truth will hurt. Learn all those skills from yahoo boys how they control white women and use it for your marriage. If you do it right, your wife might be giving you pocket money sometimes and you all will fall in love again.

Do you think your wife is bad? You have no idea. No one will tell you what is going on in their homes.

Master how to manipulate women, and you will control them like a intimacy gadget.
