Vlain: Pic told u Nigeria’s infrastructure will forever be behind SA. I guess that’s thesame thing they said about china and US .but see today despite china’s population US infrastructures is a joke compared to their. Pls check ur head sir.
USA ranks much higher than China in terms of infrastructure...........don't kid yourself.
iblawi: please we need details of the parts and spares produced by Denel.
To the best of my knowledge SA haven't produced car engine not to talk of helicopter engine. Till date less than 6 countries can produce an helicopter without getting key components like engines from another country.
SA is nowhere close to the bolded above.
obviously never heard of Atlantis Diesel Engines.....
Anyway don't take it from me...... Take it from Denel :
"Rooivalk Attack Helicopter (AH-2A) is a Denel product. Denel Aeronautics a subsidiary of the Denel is the Design Authority and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)."
ACCRA (Reuters) - Ghana’s economy is projected to grow by around 5% in 2021, while inflation is expected to return to its targeted band of 8% plus or minus 2 percentage points, the West African nation’s parliamentary affairs minister said on Friday as he presented the budget.
Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu told parliament that the 2021 budget sees expenditures at 113.75 billion cedis ($19.9 billion) up 13.7% compared with the previous years as the West African nation introduces measures to recover from the coronavirus pandemic.
well idont need to wail that ours is over 30billion $ bro..money govt can spend...
Mkenya2019: Yes - that is a middle income South Africa - that doesnt prioritize education - and when it get stuck in a middle class rut - thinks I am hating on them.
NTSA: South Africas economic growth over the years isn't very impressive ..1990 SA was already past 100billion dollars 30 yrs later they are at 301 billion.( Considering the head start they had due to Aperthaid). I would love to see how your theories worked for or against Their economic growth
Mkenya2019: Literacy will not make you become developed country. That is just enough to make your a middle income country. To get the next level - then you need to start thinking of acing the PISAs and such assessment - meaning your kids are getting very high quality education - that imparts the neccesary skills for the next level - of high productivity.
Mkenya2019: Why doesnt Mauritus or Rwanda pain me? I telling your the truth you do not want to hear. Your country is dealing with serious structural and systemic issues that wont be easy to solve. 1) Income Inequality - the World Worst - by far. 2) Poor education - poorer than even Ghana 3) Immigration - 10M illegal immigrants from mostly Zim that doesnt look likely to fix their mess. All that is manifesting in xenophobias, riots and crime - and of course out migration of skilled labour -
FYI even with our inequality we still have much less poverty than Kenya... Not to mention the average black SAn is several times more wealthy than the average Kenyan
Mkenya2019: You're lucky the commodities rallied and your rand recovered. We would be talking about 250B dollars. Yes my shocking maths is telling me Kenya gdp per capita is growing very fast...while South Africa is struck...and I do not see any change that would make you escape middle income trap.
If you want to understand what's going on in your country - watch this video of South America - that is plagued by say middle class trap.
Mkenya2019: You're confusing - 415B is projected for this year - the real figures will be out when some time next year. Your 2020 GDP from what I can see is 300B. I have seen you say 380B.
Mauritus tiny or not - has overtaken South Africa - this did not just happen - they made it happen.
South Africa economy is expected to recover. Kenya economy will grow. The big difference - coming from -5 percent last year to 5 percent is zero growth - it's recovery.
$370 billion actually and it isn't a projection but the actual size of the economy after the rebase... And since our growth has out preformed expectations the projection of $415 billion is accurate.
Abohboy: Well it's coming South Africa isn't going to be at the top forever even in standards of living in Africa both Nigeria and Kenya will soon catch up especially seeing how Nigerians are increasingly become open to different political parties
rvp2018: Nominal gdp lower than 1100usd - Least developed country - DRC Congo Nominal gpd per capita of 1100usd or about - threshold to below Lower Middle Income - Kenya Nominal gdp of 4000 to 12000 - Upper middle class - South Africa Nominal gdp above 12,000 is developed country - the entry point - Mauritus/Seychelles have hit there.
That is according to IMF/WB
South Africa GDP 2020 301.9 /60m = 5000usd.
End of this year - it will projected to be 400/60=roughly 6700usd.
according the the IMF our gdp per capita is over $6900
Mkenya2019: How comes you never stopped Mauritus with your hunting arrow when they not only overtook South Africa but have become Africa 1st developed country - with GDP per capita more than twice South Africa.
Your GDP per capita is stuck at 5000 usd. Kenya in next 5yrs will probably double it's own to 4,000 - and will join Upper Middle Class - and will be like South Africa for all practical reasons.
Mauritius is a tiny little island bru with little over a million citizens....granted they have done very well, but let's compare apples with apples.
Also according to the IMF our gdp nominal is now $415 bil divide that by 60.5 million then we get a gdp per capita of nearly $7000 while Kenya is still at $2200
Did I mention our economy is projected to out grow yours in 2021?
just posting the facts bru if it wasn't apparent to you before maybe it is now...... I don't kiss a$$ I don't give a fvck if its Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana or who ever.... I tell it like it is!!
Roan77: Again, your ignorance and arrogance is at play here again. Let me be blunt with you, South Africa is dead and gone, it's obvious, no amount of your lies, chest beating, and conspiracy theory will change that, you are are done, and finished. Stop dwelling on the past glory, stop having low self esteem, by forcing to push down SA past glories on us. I will not go back and forth with you, because you are empty.
cool story bro.... To bad SA also destroys Nigeria in every metric that counts as well , QOL, Infrastructure, wealth per capita, gdp per capita, hdi, technological advancement, education, health ect ect ect
Abohboy: Who says forever? If Nigeria got 8 years of proper leadership like a Thabo Mbeki type of leader or a Deng or a Lee Kuan Yew or even an Awolowo we'd develop so rapidly South Africa would be left in the dust very quickly
I'm talking housing deficit gone Power problems gone Water problems gone
Nigeria's problems really aren't that difficult to solve if we could get a decent leader things would change and we're likely going to get one in 2023 with Moghalu as president
have you ever listened to the Roger Whittaker song " I don't believe in if anyone"?........ I think its pretty appropriate for this post
QuietMynd: [s][/s] Just see the unrequested thesis u re giving me. I will rather believe a French man narrative of the encounter because he was on ground that day. Than a man that was thousands of kilometres away. Sorry mate, we all aren't wired the same way. Our thinking levels differs man, no need to take it personal.
rvp2018: Coz if you did it will clearly show you kenya is gonna overtake your hunting ground. stop hunting for morsels and go hunt for big things - like knowledge.
Kenya will overtake SA in about 100 years.... Not in terms of per capita but yes eventually in terms of sheer size of your economy driven by your population growth..... Just like Nigeria
But just like Nigeria, Kenya will forever be behind SA in terms of the things that actually matter, like infrastructure, wealth per capita, gdp per capita, hdi, technology ect ect
South Africa has exhibited tepid economic growth over the past twenty years as well as high levels of income inequality characteristic of a middle income country growth trap. ... The paper concludes discussing the welfare outcomes on the vast majority of South Africans who are unable to participate in the economy.
OK and? Does that change the fact that our middle class has grown ten fold?
rvp2018: If you're interested in hunting the truth like yours truly rather than hunting squierels for dinner...here is how it went down.
The genesis is 2009 census - some northern counties in kenya tried to pull a Nigeria - they inflated their population. The statistics body cancelled and corrected them. They went to court and they won. So offically kenya population was inflated...but in 2019 - new measures were introduced to prevent a Nigeria. Most who did the projection using the earlier figures have kenya population figures inflated.
